If you’re a collector: DO NOT buy this alarm. (Or this version). TrueAlerts (Including Truealert ES) are Smartsync. This means they run off of 24V DC, plus a frequency that is not provided by a direct 12/24V. So unless you have a special Simplex panel, this alarm will do you no good. There are free run models on eBay, however they’re extremely hard to find.
@@fearsom218 Do you know the model? If you have a SmartSync model, you will need a SmartSync module which is the 4905-9338. Make sure your power supply is not FWR.
If the power is pulsating, such as a sync protocol, you can still power the strobe, but the horn won’t work. I heard Wheelock sync can efficiently flash SmartSync strobes.
If you get dead insects in the strobe light is it possible to get them out? I have a couple mounted on ceilings that have this issue.

If I were a fire alarm collector I would just buy 2901 9838s on 4903 9105 strobe plates on continuous
