You could have put the 9252 horn behind the 2903 plate if you wanted too.

Simplex made a back-box for the 4903 series

it was fine only if the alarm to the 4903-9252 was a little louder so you can hear it better if there was a big fire going on in your home.

My first fire alarm is a 4904-9176. I got it for $8.

I should do this on my Simplex 4903-9237 since the strobe came defective and I really want to have an actual Electronic Horn Strobe so that I can test it with my 9219 with everything wired.

You could, but they already have multiple speaker models.

@@Fahrenheit4051 what I mean is can you actually put a speaker in that alarm panel to make it a speaker strobe too.

I have a 4903-9236 who's strobe bit the dust some years ago all thanks to me being an idiot & using it with a power supply that unbeknownst to me put out FWR. I did buy a replacement strobe for it off Ebay, but it turned out it was actually one from a selectable horn/strobe or remote strobe, so I don't know, maybe someday I'll buy the correct mechanism & put it in. ('course I don't know the exact part number of the strobe that the 4903-9236 uses specifically so...)

If you're talking about the free-run 15 cd strobe, it's 4904-9137. I think there are some cheap ones on eBay now.
      Honestly, I would rather put a selectable strobe in a -9236 than put a non-selectable one in a -9252.

@@Fahrenheit4051 Whenever I have to fix a device I have I don't want to have to buy a perfectly working device just to tear out its' insides & render it not fully working just to fix my either non-functioning or partially-functioning device. (which is why I haven't been able to fix my WS1T-24 ever since I broke it; because so far I have not found a way to get just a WS-series strobe circuit board & not the whole device)
I sorta feel like restoring devices to their original look/design, hence why I'd want to replace the selectable strobe mechanism (which the 9236 did not have originally) & put in the stock non-selectable free-run strobe mechanism.

"YEET!" is a pretty accurate description of the sound of a -9252, and what it makes you want to do to it after hearing it for more than 5 seconds.
