- The 2023 Renault Zoe was, believe it or not, one of the earliest EVs to land in Malaysia - well, obviously not the 2023 model itself but you get our drift. In any case, the pocket-sized, electric city runabout entered the market this year with a price tag that is, admittedly, on the high side.
However, do remember that the Zoe comes from a carmaker that is regarded by many to be masters of handling and ride quality tuning. So, can the 2023 Renault Zoe outdrive, outdo and outshine its more affordable Chinese counterparts?
Only one way to find out. Join Adrian as he explains why legacy marques still have the upper hand when it comes to making a great-driving car, EV or not.

For RM165,000- RM179,000, I think its more wise to go with base spec of Tesla Model 3 or BYD Seal for RM10,000 extra.
Additionally, you could get Ora Good Cat 500 Ultra and BYD Atto 3 Extended Range below R135 price.
ETCM, why can't you bring in the new Outlander or Pajero sport?? The price range for this car is sky-high for an average-earning Malaysian. Good Luck selling this!
80k car at best
Hi adrian love you're car review can you review byd seal and the maxus ev mpv
Good ev 0:17
I wish they would bring in the Megane EV instead. Such a beautiful car.
Sure no better then BYD! This car fail EURO NCAP! Not Even 1 star.. yes is ZERO!!
Doesn't have AEB apparently. Getting replaced by Renault 5
Europian car with zero EURO NCAP. Avoid at all cost.
@@amirnazhan first you must understand NCAP rules before saying that, Jackie is correct, issue is autonomous safety tech and they’re new rule change. The new rule is you can’t get a rating higher than your lowest score in any category, so zero rating means the whole car (that was 5 stars less than 5 years ago) is now rated zero.
Whoever did the colour grading just turned the saturation over 9000
His face is literally red at 4:04
How does it ride compared to the Dolphin?
this is still a solid option and the zoe is a very good ev 😁🥰
Do you aware that this car score zero NCAP rating
@@Brad14221 well i don't mind it anyway drive slowly and not to crash it
@@aimanfitri0iv your money, your priority
Crash normally is not one party's involvement.. @aimanfitri0iv
@@aimanfitri0ivis over-positivity a thing?😅
If it price slightly below long range dolphin, should be competitive..
EV price floor is 100k, can't go lower than that to protect local brands. Dolphin and Neta V will remain at 100k until the policy changes.
Errr no.
ZOE is just literally offering a BYD Dolphin on close to a Tesla Model 3 price.
Bold yes.....but not wise and Renault has got a very tainted image in Msia in general.
Waiting for the seagull
Not coming to Malaysia due to EV price floor of 100k.
165-179k ... i think if 65k-79k only got a chance to compete with Dolphin 😂
Will be eaten by Seagull.
Dead on arrival lol
Nope. This will not sell. For me, nothing appeals to me. Lacks proposition compared to the Chinese EV.
What a bloody joke, you can get the Atto 3 for the same price. That car has much nicer cabin, range and performance.
