- Don't you sometimes wish you could turn back time to undo your mistakes? That is what we did in this video, shooting the first verse backwards. The singer in "If Floods Of Teares" is filled with such paralyzing regret and desperation that we wanted to see if reversing the flow of time might indeed be possible.
Our idea of time running backwards led to another one: there would be two characters in the video, their timelines running in opposite directions and crossing each other in the silence between the two verses. The singer of the first verse, still clinging to a shred of hope ("If groaning cries might salve my fault at last"), almost whispering her words, is met with another person with a sterner outlook, one who has lost all hope: "I see my hopes must wither in their bud".
For the credits sequence, also the soundtrack was reversed: mostly because this music sounds so achingly beautiful and sorrowful in reverse, but also because here the viewer gets an idea of the work that went into shooting the first verse, where Sanna had to learn to sing the words backwards with the reversed soundtrack.
