  • Guide down Upper International, Adrenaline, and Felsen at Alpental taken on 11 March 2021. All of these are very advanced runs, which together make a pretty awesome but challenging route from the top of Chair 2 to the base lodge. Upper International is a signature mogul run at Alpental, while Adrenaline is one of the steepest marked runs in the country. Felsen starts fairly tame, but gets progressively narrower until you feel like you're going down a bobsled run.
In this video, I make two mistakes. The first was I intended to ski Snake Dance, but I got so excited by the conditions on Adrenaline I went too far downhill to get to Snake Dance. The second mistake was gaining too much speed in Felsen, and I had to stop myself to stay in control.... Enjoy watching me bonk some branches with my helmet camera.

    Thank you.
I’ve had one of your photos from the bark ball on my wall at Alpy for years. (22 years at my house on the hill road…)
I finally searched “Fergie Alpental” and learned how instrumental you’ve been to my experience here. You have my sincere gratitude for all you’ve given to our community. 💛✨

I'm glad to hear my photo has a good home! I've not been active with this project lately, but I really would get back on it. I moved up here last winter though, so I'm here all the time now!

This really shows how tracked out and icy it can be even in March.

Which run at upper international is better for first timers, im guessing adrenaline right

Adrenaline is extremely steep! For your first time up Chair Two, I'd make an immediate left off the chair and come down the bowl. For the first time on Upper International, stay on International and take Lower International.

@runsofsummitatsnoqualmie353 I've done the very steep runs at summit central, so I think I can handle adrenaline lol. And I've done the black diamond run at silver fur

Ok, that was awesome. I’d love to be able to see your skis but I know you can’t see everything. I skied Alpental and twice looked over the edge at International and twice said, “Nope.” And hiked back to Edelweiss Bowl, which is so secluded and awesome too.

I always rip the cliff on the left side of adrenaline but it gets kinda sketch with low coverage or ice

Is international a lot scarier than edelweiss bowl and the fan (right underneath the ski lift)?

International is a bit steeper and icier but not too bad.

@@yileiyilei5616 Yeah I was there yesterday and it was mostly soft spring snow. Upper International was quite crusty though because it's in the shadow of the mountain. Still really fun though. Sucks that Alpental is closed until Friday.

@@tanyag2499 ah interesting. I assumed all spring snow. I’m not too familiar with the consequences of skiing spring snow except that it’s a bit stickier so a bit slower. The only downside I’m aware of of for such a steep hill is that it’s a bit harder to turn. Would you say if there’s anything else? Also thanks for the heads up I was deciding between Thursday and Friday haha
