DUDE!!!!! That's so freaking awesome that y'all put a spotlight on my Dark Knight Rises autographed DVD! I'm so glad that y'all got it and that it's part of the set! Y'all made my Christmas season!!! My name is Adam btw ☺️
After my dad passed we were absolutely broke. My mum couldn’t afford much for presents but she did her best. I’ll always be so incredibly grateful to the people who donated gifts to me and in so doing taking a weight off of my mums shoulders that I didn’t understand yet. I still remember the beautiful bunch of art supplies I got one year. They weren’t fancy or anything, but knowing someone cared enough to buy them for me still sticks to my heart. I feel so lucky to be able to do the same for kids in need now.
Hearing them talk about how many episodes it’s been makes me realize how long I’ve been watching this show. Good job Tony, loving the content as always.
This past week I've started listening to the podcast version while I'm at work from episode 1 instead of listening to music. Made my week better even if I had all ready watched them.
Slight correction- The dream team is: The Entire Hack The Movies Crew. Including several special guest stars such as Mint, Mike, Star Trek Fan not Mike, and as always Caped Theme Song Guy. Merry Christmas to those weirdos who insist on saying it that way and Happy Holidays everyone.
Hearing Crystal proclaim that the Muppet’s Christmas Carol is the greatest Christmas movie ever is why she deserves all the happiness in the world. And Johanna is as amazing as ever. And Tony is cool as ever lol
I saw this movie last week, and it still cracks me up. My favorite part was when “William H Macy” lights a cigar near the tree and burns the whole tree. 🤣 and he didn’t even realize he also was on fire 😂
In regards to the Santa thing, I felt like my family did it well. Gifts from Santa primarily were about not giving credit to any one person, ensuring the kids were happy, and the funding came from everyone pooling their money into a single budget that was split equally among the kids of the family to make sure everyone got a good amount of presents for Christmas and no adult was left to feel bad about their specific financial situation. The adults ended up doing a white elephant gift exchange with a small budget instead of everyone exchanging a ton of gifts with the extended family. It worked well for us and made for very memorable holidays.
The house is on WB Backlot and has an interior street view to tour. Also the Lethal Weapon house and while we're Wandavisioning it the bewitched house they used for Agatha's house and is the house in the home movies in this. Also the pool is across the street from the house. John Randolph was also Roseanne's dad lol.
Have the mint salad 🥗 girl on again. The one in the tube top that didnt watch the movie. I like that one. She is talented! Not being sarcastic either, she was funny and kept me watching.
What's really funny about the sled scene is that the first time I saw this as a kid I had no idea what a Walmart was. Hard to believe there was a time before there was a Walmart within 10 minutes of anywhere.
This was the first Vacation movie I saw growing up. Clark invites the entire family over for Christmas but things don't go according to plan and they end up more hilarious hijinks.
Your brother in law is a legend for that! 🤣 I’m def. doing that next Thanksgiving. I wanna see how long I can go before my dad smacks the Hell outta of the back of my head, it’ll be worth it. 🤣👏🤣👏🤣
You guys were really good on this episode. Hats off to both Crystal and Johanna, and Tony you weren't that bad too. Nice banter between all of you & Crystal really researched her stuff. Way to go gang! Happy Holidays! PS: Tony get some rest!
Hard to believe 2 of the greatest Christmas comedies of all time were made in back to back years by the same person. I wonder if we will ever get another all time Christmas classic. It feels like there has been nothing since Elf and Bad Santa in 2003.
Christmas Vacation is a classic. Movie will outlive the human race 😂. Merry Christmas,Happy Holidays to everyone at Hack the Movies. Keep up the awesome content!
I always thought that this movie was the inspiration for the first episode of The Simpsons. The Christmas bonus problem, the whole annoying family, the crappy Christmas tree, failing to do Christmas lights, and later on, Mr. Burns forgetting Homer's name. And they both came out in 1989.
Its crazy I listen to these in between waiting on new episodes of the cinemassacre podcast and talk about games. Never realized I wasnt subscribed. Thats now fixed! Happy holidays!
It's almost HACK THE VACATION. Tony puts lights all over the store, Johanna gets the squirrel out of the tree, Crystal cooks the turkey, and Kieran emptied the store fluids into the sewer before Santa Justin comes.
I went through a break up too so watching you guys over the months having a good time and laugh made me have a good time and laugh 💪🏾 keep up the good work
You should do the original my bloody valentine along with the remake-so you can compare the two. They are very similar movies, but different. That would be awesome!
25:47 I agree with You Tony on Christmas Trees I never ever have one since I dont live with my family for many years now ever. I dont even like Fake trees ever either too. Trees and Plants both belong only outside.
My family has never bought a real Christmas tree, because one time when my mom was a little kid her tree (real one) with candles on it actually almost burned her house down while she was asleep, that and my dad can't stand the smell of pine (no idea why). I'm in my mid 30's & I love Christmas, also Christmas Vacation is one of my favorite Christmas movie's of all time. I recommend the movie "The man who invented Christmas" this holiday season, now streaming on Canadian Netflix
Hey, famous Tony from Hack The Movies. Love the channel & vids. Never seen this movie. But I bet the review will be phenomenal. Happy that Johanna & Crystal are back with u in a review. Could u heart & pin my comment? Would really finish the crummy Monday I'm having off right. I live in a cila for adults with disabilities. I have bipolar/autism. I really wanted to see my mom in the city for Christmas, but her house wouldn't allow it. We tried to find an affordable hotel or motel near her, but to no avail. But she was able to get her housemate to drive her to see me. He is available only 2 days this month. So at least I'll still be able to see her.
