"Am I right, fellas ?! Or ladies. Women can like men too."
This is 100% one of the best jokes James has made.
When he through that guy into the printing press, he should have said, "What's black and white and red all over?"
@@whitleypedia I just watched that movie for the first time last week, and I was shocked that he didn't. It's almost like they changed it in post.
@@TheScottWolcott had to have been in a draft at some point
@@whitleypedia
That would’ve been so much better.
@@whitleypedia "What's black and white and DEAD all over?"
I think tomorrow never dies is so underrated it's the perfect mix of cheesy, camp, genuinely good over the top action, funny memorable side characters. It's great.
Also feels it was way behind it's time regarding everything that is happening now
This comment got me all excited to put on the DVD I thought I had of Tomorrow Never Dies and enjoy it with that modern lense.
Ugh, my memory had fooled me and it's actually a copy of Die AnOtH_3r dAy I have. I bought it in poundland.
Peirce Brosnan got better on his first 3 outings. 4th ain't nearly as bad as folks make it out to be
best bond movie
Tomorrow never dies is one of my favorite bond films. I think that's somewhat clouded with some nostalgia but I agree with your assessment
Interestingly, the guy who played Gustav Graves actually played Bond in a series of audio books. He does a great job so his casting in DAD is definitely somewhat of a doppelganger motif
He also did some James Bond radio plays (a cpl with Ian mckellen) and ur right, he’s a great bond.
You need to leave it to other people to decide if something’s “interestingly”
He's also Maggie Smith's son
GUSTAV FEARS?!!
He's also fantastic in Black Sails
I'm ecstatic to see Everything or Nothing get a highlight in this despite not being a movie. It has to be one of my favorite games just due to the action scenes themselves, let alone being a bond game. It's a part of Bronsman's Bond that I will always remember.
It really was incredible. Loved how the varied gameplay coupled with the story really immersed you into the experience. It wasn’t just a first or third person shooter with the off smartphone hacking mini-game which a lot of Bond games have since fallen into. I hope the upcoming Bond game has a similar vibe. Thanks for watching!
Yea I loved it. Really felt like playing through a fifth Brosnan film. And a much better movie/story than DAD. Wish it had actually been made into a movie.
Brosnan has the perfect look for bond.
No he doesn't lol he looks like a swift breeze would knock him over. He looks like a weakling. Daniel Craig and Sean Connery were the best
True, he's the most handsome
@Hugo Stiglitz Have you seen the average federal agent? They aren't jacked af like a special forces guy would be. So nah, Brosnan definitely looks the role.
@@HugoStiglitz88 Craig looks like the average used-car salesman, Connery and Brosnan had the Bond look and mannerisms down to a T.
@@HugoStiglitz88 not sure what movies you saw but if anything Brosnan was in better physical condition than Connery.
Why does it always take me like 5 minutes until I realize I already watched this xD
Sup goldfish brain. Me too.
I'd of had no idea if I didn't see this comment 🤣 I'm only 3 minutes in to be fair but I completely forgot I'd seen all these lol
I was searching the comments because I wasn't sure if I'd seen this before 😅
But did you? This is a composite of multiple previous videos. Maybe you only watched the first of them previously.
I leave a “like” to mark my territory lol
I actually think The World Is Not Enough is an underrated movie. A female villain where Sophie Marceau did great. I think Pierce Brosnan came into his own and really does give a great performance.
Pretty much did dark knight rises but better
@oosa one of the dumbest and most delusional takes I've ever read. Congrats 🤡
I just remember the movie not being fun at all. I was young when I saw it so I was expecting something more in-line with the other bond movies but maybe it works better as a darker, more serious movie.
Pierce Brosnan's Bond, in *my opinion, is EXTREMELY UNDERRATED.
agree
@@victory4life00 He just had the look, you know ? Moreso than anyone else. In my opinion.
@@BlackAdam2784 it's not just the look, all latest bond movies with craig looks like bourne movies, and honestly think the time of bond movies has gone, it's imposible to make spy movie today.
@@eraser0artem agreed.
Yeah Goldeneye was great
Golden Eye the game had a HUGE impact on my life as a kid! My uncle had N64 and he lived above my grandparents flat, so every single time we went to grandmas, my cousins and I we’d play golden eye for hours and hours.
Pierce Brosnan was so good looking that I wrongly remembered his Remington Steele character as being a robot.
Well with the name that would make sense
Mrs. Doughtfire almost took him down, a spiteful villain, didn't succeed. Haha
Pierce is a treasure indeed.
I think you were crossing the wires with The World's End, there.
The, "We don't know him," sync at like 47:39 is INCREDIBLE.
I believe Goldeneye 007 was also one of the first FPS games to have objectives, everything else was just aimlessly wandering around until you find an exit.
It's a small touch but it definitely helped you feel like a secret agent having to accomplish one or several objectives before actually being able to complete a mission.
Plus there were added objectives on higher difficulties, so plenty of replay value.
I don't think I even watched the movie in my entire life.
The game was so insanely groundbreaking for the time… and is utterly unplayable now
@@adamseidel9780 it is most definitely not unplayable! “Buggy and dated” that’s it. Beyond that it’s fun as shit, I still play it with my buds, this and Perfect Dark.
It and Halo CE changed FPS and gaming forever. They were leaps forward in gaming really.
@@adamseidel9780 I played it recently. Wasn’t unplayable. How does time make it unplayable?

I’m returning from the future to tell you how much of a fool you were
glass onion stinky
He's my favourite bond so iv generally watched these 4 videos back to back about 15 times. Now it's even easier to watch them all 😂🙌
1:01:12 what’s goin on with the thumb nail shit flying into frame for like the next couple minutes?
Pierce Brosnan was definitely the most suave and classy of the Bond castings. He brought a news perspective of charm and humor to the role of James Bond. It’s a shame the other movie scripts didn’t really allow for much after Goldeneye otherwise there would definitely be a case for Pierce Brosnan being the unbiased greatest 007 to ever drink a vodka martini that was shaken, not stirred.
What makes it even worse is that Brosnan WANTED to depict the grimmer, realer Bond with more of a sanctioned killer's inevitable scars like Daniel Craig was finally allowed to, but so long as "Cubby" was still alive he wasn't having it, determined to keep both the character and stories smarmy, glib, and shallowly fantastic.
I wish Timothy Dalton had been able to do a few more Bond films. I also wish Brosnan had better films because he’s great as Bond.
Dalton was able to but he turned Goldeneye down because Cubby wanted him to sign a 4-5 picture deal after his 3rd contracted film was done, so he sadly walked away.
@@thejamesbondshow9754 It's terrible that the whole MGM V EON court battle happened. Dalton most likely would have been signed on for more movies and GoldenEye would have been released in 91 rather then 95. The script for GoldenEye was also set too be re written during 1993 Dalton agreed to do the film but when 1994 came around he decided to walk away.
@@twistedgamer238 I think broznan was a better chose for goldeneye personal. As they say all these things happen for a reason 😂😂
I've always thought you can read the Goldeneye Bond dialogue with Dalton's voice. It would be later films that gave Brosnan his own distinct take.
The thought of James Bond running around jingling with shells is kicking my ass lol
Brosnan was easily one of the best bonds with the worst stories.
I’m not going to defend them too much, i think Goldeneye, Tomorrow and his last one were pretty good. The other one is forgettable. With regard to your comment, i think you need to brush up on your Roger Moore Bond films.
All of the Craig stories were utter dog shit. I'd rather watch Die Another Day a hundred times than rewatch any of the BCU garbage they put Craig into
@@VanquishedAgain "Let's spend 3 decades trying to get back the Rights to Blofeld & Spectre...and then use it to... copy the plot of Austin Powers 3 & make them siblings." So weird.
I hate watched them all early in quarantine, they were so bad I wish I had watched anything else.
Both Brosnan and Dalton were decent actors but they both got saddled with shit stories. In the rankings, they’re both ahead of Moore or Lazenby
Pierce Brosnan is the best James Bond, he has the looks, the manners, the face, he is sophisticated, the looks, the face again. Best James Bond.
I was born 91 and he is the only bond I picture as bond. Craig was awesome but he didn't feel like bond the way Pierce did.
I’m just gonna time-code some of my favorite moments in this comment.
4:12 - pogs joke
16:51 - henchman death
21:08 - “BUY ME A PINT”
38:33 - Q in the video game ad
39:46 - Q snaps
1:30:30 - james trying to snap a disc
Wow, I guess this video really dips in quality after the first 21 minutes.
I dont know that anything can top BUY ME A PINT
One of the greatest experiences I've ever had in gaming was running out of ammo while my mate was running around as odd job with the golden gun and karate chopping him to death. That was over 20 years ago when I was about 9 years old and I will remember that forever. Love this game thanks for reminding me about it imo the best thing with the James bond name attached to it
I’ve beaten oddjob to death countless times in the facility bathroom. Remember you could get back up into the vents by crouching aiming into a corner and spinning? My friends and I would get stoned and drunk and battle for hours in that dumb game. To deal with oddjob I would just center my camera lower and he just became fodder for cougar magnum headshots.
@@walmartian422 I had no idea you could get back into the vent!! I sucked hard at that game properly felt like it's achieved something when I killed him with chops only
It was really great watching these babies again, but I gotta say that while the podcast discussions are fantastic and hilarious as always there's something even better that needs to be addressed: Ben's hair. I'm 38, so my hair doesn't grow like it used to, so it's nice to live vicariously through hair like Ben's. Y'all got the sweet beard game, though. Together all of you really just make the ultimate team!
Glad I was not the only who appreciated Brosnans hair in Golden Eye
Could've called this one "Caravan of Bondage", but noooo....
Pierce was my favorite Bond and had some of the best stories. He actually speaks and looks the part and is well rounded.
Timothy Dalton plays golf
Too much of a dandy
@@Shagadelicjon Dalton is my second favorite Bond and almost even with Brosnan. So I respect that take
@@nosuchthing8 who? you?
Read the Fleming novels, then watch the 2 Dalton Bond films and your get a real understanding of what James Bond should look like an act like and it is not Brosnan. Sorry, but it's truth.
This is hilarious content, you guys are analyzing Bond like he’s a childhood friend. Brosnan Bond films, no matter how shaky, just had such a genuine and fun vibe to them
Seeing that Mr Sunday Movies uploaded a new video but it's a compilation of old videos:
*"You gave me hope and then you took it away."*
What an absolute gold mine of a channel
I really appreciate that they are clicking the Parker Jotter. True class. A smooth click with Aston Martin quality.
This channel and Space Ice are gems that need to be preserved
Pierce Brosnan did the best he could.
I would have enjoyed a segment where Desmond Llewelyn shows off the video game but clearly holds the sincere belief that Q is the main character and true hero of the James Bond series.
Anytime I fall asleep with RUclips on I wake up and this video is playing. I must have probably watched this 20 times now.
It happened again.
I kinda like Bond's introduction to Jinx. "My name is James Bond, but my friends call me... James Bond"
Pierce Brosnan as far as I am concerned has the perfect James Bond look, and Golden Eye was a really solid entry. With that, the Golden Eye game on N64 was incredible at the time and especially for the time, I say it's one of the best versions of a movie being turned into a successful game that captured the magic. The fact that multiplayer was such a last mi ute addition is mind-blowing. I was in Juniour High at the time, which means I was the perfect age for it. The amount of marathon weekends of four player Golden Eye was incredible.
These legitimately cheer me up
Timothy Dalton is a manchester city fan. Which is why he is my favourite bond. Saw him at the match once

Dude the controls on golden eye for the n64 were the best! The 4 yellow directional buttons made it amazing to get around. Loved playing Golden eye with friends as a kid. (We did prefer to go to the friends house with the biggest tv)
Pierce was probably the most well round Bond. He had the looks and coolness of Sean, humour of Moore, grittiness of Dalton and Craig. So overall he was amazing. Shame that apart from Goldeneye, his other films was lack luster
I never associated Brosnan with grittiness tbh, nowhere near the level of Craig's bond. He did fit the super suave spy image to a T which is more what Bond is about, so I agree in that sense he definitely really fits the Bond archetype very well
I think the first three he did where great , for some reason Die another day drags the average down harder than miss fires from other eras .
If it’d been a Moore movie people would have loved how ridiculous it was hahaha
The Mountain Dew off his head was great 😂
I never get tired of watching these comps
Love the cut to Elliot from Mr Robot "wiping down" his computer when he thinks he has been compromised.
3:49 for years after seeing “Golden Eye” I wondered whatever happened to the geek Russian scientist. To my shock and horror it was my introduction to the awesome singer, comedian and actor Alan Cummings. This film is loaded with British comedians like Robbie Coltrane and Sean Bean playing Russians with bad accents. Now “Golden Eye” is my favorite 007 comedy. 😆
"I maintain this is the best bond game (...)" It look like a ton of fun honestly but i unfortunately never played this one. However, James have you ever played "James Bond 007: Nightfire"? To me THIS is the best Bond game ever. A decent story that feels on par with the movie of the time, great control with a lot of option preset from previous game and customization, 007 moments/objectives that reward you for thinking outside the box (or like Bond, i guess) and a solid multiplayer mode that rival Goldeneye in term of hours i played this with my friends hahaha!
This is a mega old episode, I know, but I jsut wanted to say I've been sat here designing all day listening to your shows back to back and man, you guys are just great company for someone working from home. Thanks for all the content and effort you put in. Mason for World President.

BAH MEE A PIENT
Did you know that British pints are much bigger than American pints? Ha, losers.
Pierce Brosnan does have one of the best pistol draw raises ever.
Edit:
I didn’t realize you went into the goldeneye game as well. I wired the house for the guy who they named the Klobb gun after; Ken Lobb. They couldn’t figure out a name for the gun so they named it after him.
Love that!

The Goldeneye theme song was written produced and performed by U2 after producers couldn't reach their number 1 choice, Tina Turner. So they settle for the 2nd choice was U2. The band surprised producers when they turned in the final cut with special guest singing lead. Bono reach out and brought in Turner.
Goldeneye is my favorite Bond film. So good.
I liked all the Brosnan Bond movies.
Even Die another day, it has a certain neofuture vibe that’s really nice if you just lean into it😂
Congrats on being mentioned in a Yahoo article about Batman for your supercut of all of his murrrrrrders
We all know what an EMP is, but I wish a movie would explain what a wormhole is with a folded piece of paper and a pen or pencil going through it.
Tina Turners song replaced an effort from Ace of Base. "The Goldeneye" was retooled as "The Juvenile" and released on a later AOB album

(Speed Racer is my favorite)
What’s with all the ‘Mr Sunday Movies Brand’ effects during the world is not enough game footage?
Goldeneye is one of the best movies ever!
The missing segments in the song are real and on purpose. Distortion was very popular at the time. One of the things they're doing is emulating a digital phone signal dropping in and out, like someone pretending to enter a tunnel while on the phone. It's most noticeable in the lyrics, but it's used in the music also. This theme is reinforced by the stoccato string segments
I think about Who Dares Wins way too much.
I'm glad you kept the Mike Whitney bit in.
Watching Mason play any game is like trying to coach your grandmother to play a video game.
It's like guiding a 40 year old to something on a computer or phone

In regard to counting the clicks, I used to believe it was 3 clicks at anytime, hence counting the clicks but I actually believe it's 3 clicks in quick succession. If you pay attention you hear 3 quick clicks right before Bond knocks it out of his hand.
Goldeneye is definitely in the top 5 best 007 films.
Playing Goldeneye for N64 with your friends on a 32” tube TV in your living room on summer break was peak living. We would play with remote or proximity mines so it became absolute madness of constant explosions and racking up double digit kill counts because the maps were so full of mines you could barely move without setting one off.
I played the multiplayer so much I was able to navigate around the Complex (my favorite level) while looking at the ground the whole time so my friends couldn’t see where I was by looking at my window.

@@ejhab6296 wait, it 100 percent is something Batman related, now to see which Batman movies have a reference to Bond, this is clearly an Easter egg

Joe Don Baker is pretty interesting in that he played a villain in the living daylights and a good guy CIA agent in goldeneye and tomorrow never dies.
Goldeneye for N64 was definitely my favorite game at the time. My favorite part was playing multi-player with remote mines, then throwing a mine into a room filled with mines dropped when people died. The explosion propogated so far that it shook the entire level! One time, it was so big that it froze the game.
the shot of woody allen on the bed in casino royal is actually Peter Sellers

Goldeneye felt.. Special.. Like a bond event almost.. I was 10 so may be clouded by nostalgia but it felt every aspect of the movie felt like it was made to be as "bond" as possible.. Tomorrow never dies while still decent.. Felt more like an episode of a James bond TV series.. It just felt cheaper..
I think they realised what was at stake with GoldenEye and went balls to the wall to make it the best Bond film possible.
It’s safe to say it was a successful approach.
Because people had wanted Pierce Brosnan to play Bond for 5-10yrs at that point. No offense to Dalton - in fact, i’ve actually come to appreciate his films more. They were “dark and gritty” a lifetime before Craig’s films. But yeah, Brosnan was great.
Omg, the "gimme the controller moment," bloody well done

@@RamblesBrambles Yeah he's iconic, but my personal favorite is Timothy Dalton
Yes! The game! Oh the game. So many fond memories. Definitely no oddjobs! We used to play turbo mode, slappers only and crouched so you essentially became human dodgems sliding around rooms. If you spun round on the toilet and looked up you could get back up into the vent and garuantee a win on flag tag. I think the next film should be based on N64 speed running. Just have idris Elba (probably) running through the scenes with his head down and not killing anyone. The whole film could be wrapped up in 20 minutes
My opinion before seeing this
.Pierce Brosnan was one the best Bond and had The movies of All time ..
Best bond for me as I grew up on theses!! So nostalgic and awesome, I love them.
I had already watched the individual videos of this and I feared watching them all together again would be a waste of time. I am surprised to say I wasn't disappointed having realised watching videos about movies is always a waste of time even if it was entertaining.
We forget just how good of a shape Brosnan was in this one. All the talk about Daniel Craig's body, but Pierce was lean and looked 10 years younger then the next film.
These are the best Bond films! Especially Goldeneye. Hey I'm a 90s kid sue me
Tomorrow Never Dies is great. The other Brosnan films are weak in my opinion, but Brosnan is great as Bond. Connery was original and best, in my mind.
