I don't like a lot of steps, so instead of adding the moisturizer, then oil, then gel, I add aloe vera gel and jojoba oil to my flaxseed gel. That way my gel is doing the moisturizing and the sealing and the anti-flaking all at once. 🙌 I also add a little xanthan gum to make it more jelly and less watery. Helps with hold as well. 👍 Your hair looks great, just thought I'd give a suggestion. 😊 Instead of three steps, just one and your hair feels conditioned all week. Also, I freeze my batches in silicone muffin cups so I don't have to make a fresh batch for months. I just bring out a "muffin" at the beginning of wash day and then when I'm ready to style it's melted and ready to use!
Yesss I used to do this ! But then I realized that when I mixed the oil it was as though the oil was slightly blocking some of the nutrients from the flaxseed from entering my strands . It still had my hair super defined but the moisture or shine didn’t last as long as if I did the steps separately! I mean different things work for different ppl but I’m glad that it works for you!! & thanks for sharing!! ☺️💚
I also didn't remember to mention the pineapple isn't a good idea my hair gets matted now I just pull it downward and tye it with a scarf and it comes out way better suggestion 🎉
I make mine and will put half in ice cube trays and freeze it(thaws overnight in the fridge or on the counter)...the unfrozen half I keep in the fridge and it lasts for 2 weeks. I use it, my husband, and I use it on my baby's hair as well. It's great! I haven't tried it for a wash n go yet but that's next on my list. Thanks for the content!

no, you don’t. The flaxseed gel is to be used like any other regular store bought hair gel. Only difference, is that it’s homemade therefore more affordable cause you can make it numerous times also it is much healthier for your hair! 💓

you can use the flaxseed gel on its own, I just prefer to add a leave in because I like to deeply moisturize my hair. Do what works best for your hair
