  • Welcome to our 5 part series on the Weber Three Barrel Carburetor. We wanted to do something different when it came to this carburetor tutorial. We want to show you all the details and explain the work as we go. This means very long videos. But very thorough videos. In this first tutorial, we show you how to disassemble the carburetor completely
    We separate the parts into like parts, brass, steel, trash, and aluminum parts in preparation for our next lesson on cleaning.

    Have you tear down any zenith 40 tin? How much would it cost to have it rebuilt? Thank you for your excellent video.

      Yes I have done a lot of the Zenith 40 TIN carburetors. They cost a lot more time and money to do due to the complex nature of those carburetors. Most of the parts for those carburetors are available with the exception of the deceleration system. On average to due a set of Zenith 40 TIN carbs you are going to be somewhere in the neighbor hood of $3500 to $4500 depending on the starting condition.

    Can I follow the video to balance the carb for the weber for my zenith 40 tin? Thank you

      yes and no, the procedure is roughly the same however the Zenith 40 TIN carburetors have a slightly different adjustment points. They also require the Deceleration System to be balanced on those carburetors. That requires setting the air flow and fuel mixtures coming through barrels two and five while the vacuum solenoid is open.
