I know to be authentic each aluminum piece of the bridge is a separate, but could it not be a single piece? Seems easier to build and more stable on the guitar.
Machining a steel rod with a lathe. But this is quite difficult. If you use a hand tool, set the rod on the drill and process it with a file (as Brian did)
For string 1 & 6: 15x15*10 (WxDxH), string 5 & 2: 10x15x11, string 4 and 3: 10x15x11.5
To think that brian did this with hand tools is incredible
I think so too.
How long did Brian make it?
could you write the exact dimensions of all elements? Please
what size aluminum rod do i need to use to make the bridge?
For 2-5 Strings: 10mm(w) x 15mm(d) and hight are 2,5 :11mm 3,4:11.5mm.
For 1 and 6 Strings: 15mm(w) x 15mm(d) x10mm(h)
I used 10x15 aluminum channel.
@@eric_ccc thank you very much!
Could the bridge be made of one piece of aluminum? Seems easier to mill.
I think so too.
But I chose the same method as the Old lady.

If I made a single piece, I thought that the 1 mm wide groove on which the roller saddle rides could not be engraved well.
@@eric_ccc I guess it depends how you cut the groove in the saddle. I'm thinking if using a milling machine, or building a die.
R all the 6 bridges of same dimensions?
I want to build with hand tools....how should I do it?
I think you should cut the aluminum rod with a metal saw and dig the groove with a file.
I want to make one piece rollers how to do that?

I can't afford a milling machine...any alternative?
I think I can do it with hand tools such as file and saw. However, drilling 12mm holes would be difficult with a hand drill.
@@eric_ccc Can I use the drills that r used on brick walls?
@@jisanbaidya7743 I don't know because I've never used it.
However, I think that steel drills are better for metals.
@@eric_ccc steel drills r used for metals right?
@@jisanbaidya7743 Yes
