@@Oxilus_B Let me educate you since seem to be blissfully unaware. I'm a long time Rockets fan, I watched and followed the team closer than ever once Harden got there. Harden was running the offense in Houston, he took over point guard duties from the McHale days to after D'antoni got there, he had no one to split ball handling and playmaking duties with. Then Chris Paul came to Houston, and look what happened, the team set a franchise record for wins (65) Harden won an MVP, his usage rate dropped, his efficiency went up, and he wasn't gassed in the post season, why? Because Harden finally had the luxury of having a master point guard to split said ball handling and playmaking duties with, and it blossomed. That's exactly what Luka needs, a star point guard at his side who can split time running the offense, or a star shooting guard who can create his own offense that can reduce the time that Luka has the ball in his hands and is consistent. That's why I think it's crucial that Dallas either go after Mike Conley (budget Chris Paul) or Bradley Beal.

    • @Oxilus_B

@@Nightwing690 and that transitioned to no championships also James Harden destroyed his relationship with Dwight Howard and Chris Paul which Chris Paul publicly stated his "biggest beefs" with Harden was his lack of interest in participating in the Rockets offense when he didn't have the ball, including "sometimes barely stepping over half court while spectating when Paul had the ball." I see why he, Dwight Howard and Russell Westbrook wanted out of Houston.
Luka also is one of the worse off-ball offensive players in the league he stands there waiting to get the ball back just like Harden. Also he is already having relationship issues with Porzingis after only the second season playing with each other, what makes you think this won't continue?

Luka will FOREVER be the hero because of the numbers he puts up. Numbers he can ONLY achieve by freezing out Porzingis and whomever else. Granted, "Zinger" should have perfected a big man's low post game by now, but that's something he could have made happen in an off-season or two, while Don-Cicci doesn't seem to be part of the process of making the players around him better in any way--he simply dominates the ball and hoists up shots. If he or they think that's working, the results speak differently.

To be honest, he doesn't deserve that much hate. Yes he underperformed. But so do gobert, or Simmons too. In addition to that, KP is a 7'3 guy, that suffered a acl tear I think 2-3 years ago. It's amazing that he's able to still play at a high level. And yes, he played at a high level this regular season. He had a few 40 point games and many 30 point outings. He gained muscle and got heavier. He's less mobile and got slower, but less injury prone too!
If you do a little research on him, you quickly will understand how hard of a worker he is! In the last years he had to regain his health, dealing with setbacks. But from now on, being healthy most of the times, he can focus on getting his game back on spot. I'm into his hype!
    And great video Andy!

    Physical - - - - - -Finesse
Athleticism is on one end and Footwork and Fundamentals are on the other end
Greatness is being 27-33yo with the perfect balance.
Porzingis won’t crash the offensive glass or dominate the defensive glass (no meat on the bones and no eagerness to punish you)
If he’s run off the 3/not hitting them easily, he’s not putting the ball on the floor for off the dribble midrange/attacking the basket with bully ball.

  • @GoatMee
    @GoatMee 3 года назад +1

After the injury, Kristaps lost his own aura of invincibility that helped him be what he was in Knicks: an elite rim protector, throwing blocks left and right like candy on Halloween. His brutal confidence made him able to put 110% in his game. He had balls and just went for it. The injury took that away. He is afraid to jump and - even worse - he is afraid to land. He has no desire to "go in there" anymore because of this fear. He may be putting 100% into his game now, but is always working around his fears. He is afraid of contact and wants to get rid of the ball as soon as possible. His position is nothing to be envied, either he decides to throw caution to the wind and go balls to the wall until that final, career ending injury, going out in a blaze of glory so to speak, or he "gradually" fades into obscurity.

When KP just landed in Dallas, their offense was more balance, making both Luka and KP happy, thus rated no. 1 offense in the NBA (but very sh**y in defense LOL). This season, Luka got WAY too much power, on and off the field, presumably because of his growing fanbase. His stats became priority, be in the highlights is some kind a necessity for him if you watch how many hero-ball offense he played this season. I bet Rick Carlisle and the old GM were fed up of this situation as they never face an ego problems this big (Luka vs KP).
I also blame the Mavs for jacking KP body up to be significantly bigger LOL. Skinny KP made him look like KD.

Why you blame KP if he is used to get touches? Luka has ball 90% time in his hands, of course he can shoot 40 shots per game. How many shots got KP vs LaC? Maybe 7 shots per game, what do you expect him to do? Coach told him to stay on 3 in corner, nobody even gives him a ball in post vs 6'2 Reggie. Dont tell me that's not coach's fault. Please dont blame KP, he can lead other team to PO much better then Luka. Remember my words - next year KP will be in ASG

My dream dynamic duo would be Luka and Embiid. He is everything the Mavs were wanting Porzingus to be, but does all of it so much better, in Porzingus' current condition. If Embiid and Porzingus just swapped places, Mavs get a ring. Plus, when Porzingus was with the Knicks, they were so-called "rivals" so you know this trade will stir the pot. I know this isn't going to happen, but hey, a man can dream, right?

This is KP’s first offseason in his career where he’s 100% healthy. Now he can focus on his game entirely, rather than rehabbing from an injury. Bubble KP was when he was 100%. All the covid and injuries set him up for failure. Now that he’s 100%, he can focus on his game and on court relationship with luka. And we should see something close to bubble KP. Also, looking at bubble film, luka trusted KP 100% to get a bucket. It was a two man game between them every game. Then KP got injured and lost his touch. Luka saw this and lost trust in KP’s ability to be a threat on the court. Once KP proves he can be consistent on offense, Luka will once again trust him

    Who says no?
Pacers: Ben Simmons, KP, and a pick.
    Mavs: Myles Turner.
Sixers: TJ Warren and Malcolm Brogdon.
Pacers take a risk and shake up their roster where if they go down this road they will probably have to trade Sabonis and build around Simmons similar to the bucks with Giannis (surround him with shooters). Mavs get a great defensive player in Myles Turner and free up even more cap space to build around Luka. Sixers get two very nice veterans who bring more versatility to the offense and improve their depth.

I realy think Dončić will always be a one man show. Last game against Clippers was awful to watch - Dončić dribble, dribble, dribble - shoot/awkward pass and do it all again. I mean It was boring AF. No doubt Dončić is one of the best players of this era, but he can't carry the whole world on his shoulders (nobody can). I think its better for Porziņģis to get out from Dallas and ideally find a team with more team oriented philosophy. Porziņģis is still a great player (look at his numbers in the regular season) and he showed he can knowingly sacrifice his game for the team if asked. No 7,3ft man can win a basketball game by himself, but neither can 6,7 feater who passes only when his ass is on fire.

    Bottom line:
KP can’t dribble, post-up, pump fake, jab step, spin, fadeaway, or create contact, so he’s basically a 7’3” late-stage Peja Stojakovic.
The problem lies with the fact that he wants to be a #1, and he can’t do super star thing. This isn’t about usage, this is about skill.
