Hes averaging more than he ever did in NY in Washington, hell he still averaged about 20 in Dallas.
Hes a solid 2nd option wherever he goes, 20pts, 8reb, 2ast, little under a steal and 2 blocks a night on 45 fg% 35 3pt% and a tad above 80%ft. Hes a good player still, regardless of his play style. Hes criminally underrated since his Knicks days.
Just my opinion. Hes a better player than Bam thats for sure, probably the 2nd best center in the NBA behind Jokic and Embiid honestly, but who really cares on an old video like this.

Reminded me a lot of a young more athletic, less polished Pau Gasol first time I saw him.Even physically he looks so much like Pau from a distance is scary.Pau even pulled an almost identical play to the fist one(with a better spin though).
As a Dallas fan, Im so happy to have him, even though I have to say he looks a lot more athletic and confident here. However in Dallas he has really made a tremendous impact on defense, and mostly proved to be a great locker room guy contrary to some of the rumours coming from NY. And judging by this highlights he is still running half steam here and regaining his confidence.
However, as understandable that is the Knicks fans being angry about him going, the ownership of that team and the losing culture was making him even considering leaving the nba. And we took him knowing we would have to give him an enormous contract, with the incognita of his health. And even though by now seems it was an ace move, if he has another significant injury on the next few years, it will cripple us and then it might be Luka that ask for a trade... So far so good though.

I remember when we drafted him, everyone was annoyed with Phil Jackson at that time. His insistence on running the triangle when the roster really wasn't bought into it. The bad record after everyone got their hopes up because of the legendary status of Phil's coaching. So when he drafted KP out of left field, everyone thought it was nuts. I vividly remember the boos on draft night and all the talk radio guys saying this was insanity. Then KP showed up and proved everyone wrong and it wasn't too much later than "PORZINGOD" was born lol.
The sad part though is so many people predicted his high risk of injury due to his height and more skinny build, and they were right. He hasn't been the same since, and of the past 20 years or so of Knicks basketball, the gamble on drafting Porzingis was one of the best decisions they've made. Had he never gotten injured, he'd be even more insane by now and possibly still a Knick, because he really wanted to play in NY.
