Any tricks on how to maximize effectiveness with liquid mask? Sometimes I ask myself "should I just take the time to carefully paint this part or should I mask it?" But then I think "well even with liquid mask I still have to take a brush and carefully paint it"
Not really other than just be cautious of how you put it down. But in this case I needed to do the pane lines but also needed to have a gradient in the yellow and that’s hard to do with a brush and takes way longer than just masking it out so this is why I did it this way. I don’t use it much but for things like this it’s perfect.
Awesome video as always, that's an amazing work, but I have a few questions if you don't mind, 1- how do you approach a new model? 2- how do you pick the colors of the modelsand the under coats and all of these stuff? How do you know what to use? This may sound silly but I can't do it. 3- I don't have a resin printer, can I print some models that my printer can handle and color them like you do? I know that this is alot, but it would mean a lot to me if you could help me out. Thanks
Thanks man. Well that’s such a loaded question it would be impossible to tackle in a comment. But as for picking colours it’s easier to just start with black. Knowing that pink makes an easier layer to cover with yellow is just something you Learn over time or watching RUclips videos. And yea you can print these models fdm some are a bit detailed but if you make them big enough they’ll print just fine and you can paint them exactly the same way. Most of the bases in my videos are fdm (not resin)
At the moment I’m using hycote matt clear it’s a spray paint but seems to do a great job gives a slight sheen to the model though so not ideal for everything

I just mixed white into the red.
