I met a guy on a dating website who acted in a similar but more subtle way. Told him I wasn’t interested at the end of it, but he called daily for about 4-5 weeks to leave “last ever” voicemails. After the first couple of them, he seemed so desperate and abnormal to me that I found it incredibly weird that he kept wasting his time on it, as there was no way I would consider spending time with someone whose brain worked like that.
I was going to set up an in-person date with some guy I was talking to on a site, but decided to back out, & this jerk left me a creepy message stating he was going to do a search on me, so he can call up my employer to badmouth me, so I did a search on him, & told my employer if so-n-so leaves some vile message to him, know that he's a deranged person that couldn't handle being rejected, & I don't even actually know him, nor does he know me, but he threatened to get me in trouble. Nothing happened, thankfully.

I'm so very sorry to any fellow women who have dealt with men like this. Makes me feel a bit guilty knowing I haven't come across one (yet). Closest I've come was an ex of mine being weird when he started talking to me again after years. Kept saying he missed me and loved me, asking if I wanted to date again, then getting upset and throwing a tantrum when I didn't talk to him as much as he wanted. Blocked him after all that, of course, but recently I've been getting calls in the middle of the night from (what I assume to be) him. Haven't answered any though. I just block them under the assumption it's him using a different number, because a) it's always late at night which means it's not a telemarketer, and b) he's the only person I know that lives in Oregon, which is where the numbers are calling from.
There's something so wrong with this society that women who haven't encountered absolute perverted creeps feel guilty.
