Today in the laundry mystery box, we have 3 blankets on a "wash before use" cycle. Also features the loudest spin this machine has ever done.
Cycle: Quick Wash
Wash Temp: Warm
Water Level: Auto Sensing
Rinse Option: Auto Sensing

I was busy today, so I ended up missing my own premiere. Oh well
Smurdle, I'd love to see this Cycle with Auto Sensing, Extra deep water rinses.
Probably a really high speed spin for quick wash cycle.
Hey there it wasn’t a bad wash cycle considering these blankets absorb a lot of water, there was still blooming. I just prefer a bit more water myself, I guess I’m just stuck in my old school water hog washers.🧐
I probably would have selected deep water if i were actually "washing" these. Agree that it wasn't too bad, though.
I wish these machines still used the f&p direct drive systems. The turnover was so much better.

Whirlpool should say sorry to all of them who have bought those crappy washers. I think nowadays, Speed Queen is the only worthy top loader. Luckily in Mexico you can get a 2nd hand Direct Drive Whirlpool for about $100
The direct drive is probably Whirlpool's best.

I don't understand why during the final spin it stopped and then started again???
Never understood why they did that. they could just increase speed midway through instead of cycling, but noooooooo.
Nice blooming action. This isn't a bad machine. Maybe this water level is good enough for sheets and bedding ?
If sheets and bedding were being washed, I probably would have done deep water to get a little more wiggle room, particularly for the sheets. I'll have to do some experimentation when it comes time to wash sheets.
@@Smurdle450 Fortunately you have the best of whirlpool's current VMW wash plate lineup. When I had mine it did a decent job overall. Just wasn't a reliable machine.
I hope I can get 3 or more years out of it. This and the 4950 are probably the best VMW washplate machines they've ever made.

@@patcola7335 the 4950 is essentially this machine with the addition of a soil selector switch.
The pole variants are the WTW4855 and WTW4955, respectively.
