I had Bells Palsys once. Face was paralyzed on my left like that for nearly a month. For a few years after I had very minor issues. It was hard to close my right eye and keep the left open. But not vise versa. And drinking from a straw would cause my left eye to kinda wink involuntarily. That’s mainly gone away, it’s been 5 years since it happened. I do notice in pictures that my left eye is always slightly more closed than my right. That’s the only real permanent damage that was done. The day it happened was scary, was certain I was having a stroke and I was 22 and uninsured.
I had it also at 22 I knew what it was the instant it happened and walked the 5 minutes to the hospital. I was lucky. I knew that cause one of my siblings had had it the year before and didn't know what it was for also about a month. The doctors told me I didn't need to tape my eye shut but I ignored that and I kept my eye taped till the meds were finished. And I do face exercise. It's that half smile that really freaks you out 😮
I had it too it lasted 3 weeks till I got my muscle movement back and a couple Months for my ears to stop being sensitive. I still have muscle spasms now though

Whoever is going through this do not panic go visit the doctor as soon as possible and do not miss any prescribed medication and you should be fine. Check your sugar levels and check wether you are diabetic and check blood pressure. It might be prediabetic symptom like mine I am working towards loosing weight and become more healthy so that I don't end up diabetic. Stay healthy guys don't panic just laugh at yourself and focus on getting healthy.

My daughter got that when she got shingles in her ear. She got a top naturopath as well as a neurologist. She couldn't close her right eye for 3 weeks. She recovered but is left with the tiniest tip in her smile. She had to point it out to me. I was a basket case worrying about her.
