Q: Why do you recite the revised Western version of the Creed in this context? You say you are reciting the original Creed, but then you give us a version that includes "filioque", or "and the Son". That version did not appear until the 7th century, and it has never been accepted by all Christian believers.
Hi Prentice, of course I don't mind you asking. I attend a fellowship in Basingstoke in the UK. 30 years ago we were in the Baptist Union but since then we have operated as independent church but part of the salt and light community of churches. I have acted as an elder and teacher in that congregation and I am also the Chairman of the David Pawson Teaching Trust. David has recently passed away but was the foremost bible teacher in the UK for many years. Kind regards, D

No it seems that the rumour sprang up from hearsay and misunderstanding of the words rather than directly witnessing anything sinister.
