Fascinating! My sibling and I have hypogammaglobulinemia. I a never saw it while working in a hospital as a nurse, but it is more commonly seen at the outpatient hematology // oncology infusion center I go to for IVIG.
How rare is it to have zero levels of all the antibodies? That is my case, and I can't find any information on how common it is. I have zero count of IgG, IgA, IgM. I do get IVIG infusions so I do have IgG in my system, but without it, my level is zero. Even with the infusions I have complicated issues that do not respond to antibiotics. So hard to find literature on missing all of them.
Can a person with no B cells and no IgA, but excellent levels of all the other immunoglobulins like IgG, IgM, etc. qualify for IVIG therapy? Would it help them at all?
Hi Guys, Can anybody please answer my question? I have recurent infections since I was small kid. Now I've got bronchiectasis, ILD also. One doctor decides to check my immune system and strange thing happened. My immunoglobulines are at normal range but my lymphocites B are decrised especially plasmablasts are hardly there. How it's possible to have a normal numer of immunoglobulins with nearly no plasmablast?
easy on the diagnosis delay thing: there's well established studies that women are more often dismissed when seeking medical treatment, especially when it comes to things like fatigue and infections. Medical bias is real. (I say that as someone who had a delay of 2 decades...)

Now your talking, juice up the T-Cells to get them to do the work to help the B-Cells. 😊
Hi, is it possible in cvid to have low igM , low B cells and normal igG ,igA?
No, the current criteria for a CVID diagnosis includes low IgG, but it's possible you have another condition.
