This is how one interacted with computers in the 1980s. Thanks for posting this as I was trying to adjust brightness on my new HP monitor and there is nothing in the handbook for this archaic feature.

Hey im hoping you can help, the colour display on both my hp m32f are very dull in comparison to other monitors I have, is there anyway I can change this, its not the brightness but instead the colours are very dull. Thanks

can depend on dozens of factors and it is difficult to check from here if I do not have the monitor in front of me
have you checked the "Contrast" and "Colour Control" settings, for example?

Not helpful for the 2023 HP Z27xs. Only two buttons. The right button makes it very bright. The left button makes it a shade dimmer, but still very bright.

yes the indications in the video apply to slightly older models.
