Hello, Children! I hope this guide will prove to be at least a little useful! If there's any important info which I've missed, do let me know! Also, I've added links in the Description, where you can check the various Passive abilities and stuff which you can get! If you have any questions, feel free to ask! :D May the Light of the Crystals guide us all! ^_^
It makes me happy to know that the video was fun enough to keep a veteran player interested! ^_^ I am glad you enjoyed the video, Tempered Fangs! Funnily enough, these "Guide" videos tend to be my "least watched" videos, but I hope they are helpful for new players, at least! 🗡️😇
There its double dismantles this week...im taking this opportunity to rerolls for the passives i need .. the hard part its to organize them.. great video PAPA
But how do it without going insane from the complexity? Instead of having a single offensive and defensive pool of stones, gumi split it into three subtypes. These subtypes have identical lists of passives, but you cannot transfer the passives from one subtype to another. The fastest way to deal with this is to mix & match, but then everything is everywhere. The slowest would be to designate that each subtype is only allowed to have certain systematically chosen passives, and discard everything else. Not having the stones be split into three mutually incompatible sections would have made this so much easier. Also, the UI does not try to help with any of this. You can't even tell what passives you have at a glance - you have to long-press one by one to examine them. Probably the only way to deal with this is to keep detailed inventory in a document outside of the game. But I want to play wotv, and not be an accountant. I already tried doing it a few times, but always deleted it in exhaustion after a few days of rerolling.
Hey Ultramage! I do understand your grievances, and they are definitely legitimate! "User Friendliness" was not one of their major concerns, when they designed this system 😅. It's crazy that things used to be far worse when the system was first introduced! 😵 But the way I did it, was just re-roll for passives, slowly, over a couple of weeks. Eventually, I had a nice collection of them to work with. After that was when I tried to actually make the Stones properly! Doing it Actively, right from the beginning, would be super annoying! Take it easy for a while, and things will eventually start coming together! 🗡️😇
I mean, I do have like 30 of each stone, rolled for a good random passive. But then sometimes atk is in A and slash is in G, then for the next character they'll use a different combination. The end result is that everything is a one-off and you can't swap between finished sets of truststones because they're completely mismatched. Oh and we're supposed to make pairs of passives, which makes the incompatibility even worse. And I'm not even touching on the fact that truststones are slotted to TMRs and not units, so bells optimized for dark slash vs dark will be sub-optimal the moment I switch teams.
It's not difficult just annoying frustrating trying to get max passives. I tried to get the max Def Pen stone...around 60 recrafts to get it. There has got be a better way. Maybe throw us 3 and choose one, might cut down on some time. God forbid Gumi just let's use choose the passive, I might throw money to choose exactly what I want, save my sanity.
Love the guide, yet I'm still so turned off by trustsones and how convoluted it is. I'll try to make a better attempt but it all just looks so frustratingly tedious
Well I am glad you enjoyed the video, at least 😅. It does seem really annoying to work with, but it gets a lot easier to do it one step at a time! Think about all the passives you would like to have. Re-roll a stone until you get one of them, and keep it aside. Make a new stone, and repeat! This will still take a while, but you can do it somewhat passively for a few weeks, and you'll have a bunch of nice Stones to mess around with in no time! ^_^

I think new player guides are your best videos. Please make more, I'm a day one player, and this was still entertaining and genuinely fun to watch

It is pretty annoying if one is looking for a particular passive 😅. But it doesn't look like we have any QOLs which help with that coming up 🤧.
Where's Mimi?
Apparently, in the past! You can check out her latest mishap in today's video! She really needs to stop taking directions from Hobos! 😅

Omg y this game is so complicatedddd
I suppose GUMI feel that if these systems were too simple, then people would master them quickly and forget about 'em 😅.
lol some of us love the small details in complicated haha
