I saw the series where Hannah was fired because she was on medication for her anxiety and I think it was a shame for her, but after having the opportunity to stream previous series with her I have to change my opinion, because how disgusting she herself has been for example Kasey. A leader MUST treat his people properly.
The issue wasn’t she was on medication, it was that she didn’t disclose to the the captain and didn’t show a prescription. As well as had a cannabis oil pen (not sure if it was CBD or THC) I had a job in which I had to declare I was on prescription and I would it got immediately fired if they found out I was on it and wasn’t disclosed
@@OlliePawsitivePets That was a pretext to fire her. Sandy is a terrible captain, with no management skills, and she was looking to fire her for anything.

First, I’m not excusing anyone’s behavior. Both Ben and Tom are perfectionists and take their culinary art very seriously. Most chefs are temperamental and snarky in the kitchen. It takes a lot to work around them without wanting to plunge a meat cleaver …. Well anyway…. My psychiatrist says I can’t dwell on the past…. 😎 What Adam did was inexcusable and indefensible. To knowingly, purposefully and maliciously tamper with a clients food out of some petty, childish spite should have gotten him fired immediately. There is no trusting this type of chef. My favorite meltdown of all was Rachel exclaiming “EAT MY C**TER!” and quitting over a charter guests preference sheet!!! PRICELESS!!! 😂😂😂
“That’s disgusting” 😂😂😂 absolutely love her. She is the perfect example of how you can have an attitude, you can be a little weird but you never have to talk down to people to prove your worth. Being a perfectionist doesn’t excuse your behaviour, in any way, police officers who are great at every aspect of their jobs shoot people discriminatorily, priests who have helped a whole community have touched kids, that argument actually protects dangerous and narcissistic people. Ben is extremely patronising and a borderline bully. Funny, I really do enjoy him on my telly and I feel bad saying I’d like to see him back but I would never dream of working alongside him. He’s the most sensitive person on that boat whenever he’s on it, he falls apart at everything, literally every little thing bothers him, yet he whinges that people take things too personally. He has rules he doesn’t have to follow. Don’t even know who Tom is and I should I’ve watched them all as far as I knew. 😂😂 Adam is the worst though and that’s saying something when you had that Russian girl who licked the steak 😂😂😂😂 she was tv gold.
I've gotta say that Tom was acting like a 5 yr old child throwing a temper tantrum and the fact that everyone was pretty much babying him because of Malia is ridiculous and in Malia's case hypocritical especially considering she's miss goodie two shoes and she's always the first person to call someone else out for the tiniest issues. She's just a complete hypocrite!!¯\_(ツ)_/¯💯
Tom's problem was he was complaining to the captain about not getting fresh fish but that was possibly earlier. The captain thought that problem was rectified with their supplier BWA at the moment. So her question was straight forward: Did the supplier get you fresh fish? Since he did not check, he was complaining about something in the past when the captain wanted to about the situation at the moment.
Jules must have been extremely sleep deprived and probably felt embarrassed after watching this back because she did tell Ben to make burritos and that the primary will just have a croissant later as a snack. And then she has an emotional breakdown when he’s just calm and confused
She always seems like she doesn’t want to be the bad guy, like she wants to be all of her crews besty. It’s weird, Captain Lee has a back bone, even though he’s a stubborn thing, he has authority. I was excited to see a woman captain and I feel like they purposefully picked a crappy one, surely there’s got to be better around. She’s nice, but she’s not what I wanted, like Glenn, he’s a teddy bear and I want to see the captain kick arse. 🤷♀️🤷♀️
It seemed like Adam was putting the little onions in the soup just as a sort of middle finger to the guests. If I was the captain and I found that out, I would fire him without giving him his last paycheck. I wouldn't care how unethical or illegal it would be.
You can’t screw with people’s money. Do you enjoy being sued and going to court? Your employer would be served, too; so it wouldn’t make you popular with them, either.
At 6:35 time stamp, Ben makes a Command Decision to prepare the croissant for later when he was clearly told that one of the guests wants a croissant b-fast sandwich, while the rest want a burrito b-fast sandwich. Ben likes to push the limits of his Elite chef power and that's why he is adamant in preparing all the guests breakfast burritos and holding off on the croissant for one of the guests, reasoning that the guest had lowered the bar and settled for a breakfast burrito while getting the croissan'wich later, BUT, but this was before the croissan'wich arrived so quickly to the boat that Ben can now make the 1 b- fast croissan'wich along with 3 b-fast burritos and serve them ALL at the SAME TIME to the guests. The second clip was quite confusing though. The hostess confused the Chef. She told the guests that they don't have croissants at the moment but are hoping to get some soon. So she asked them if they would like anything else and they said breakfast burritos. She came back to the kitchen and said to the Chef that they would like to have burritos and then the crossiant later when it comes. Then suddenly, when the crossiants came before time, she again asked the guests and changed the order. But YOU just said that the guests would like to have the crossiants later!!! Like, don't confuse the Chef.
No, that’s not what happened, she said, unless we can get them sooner, they’ll be for later. Common sense then tells you, when they got them sooner, they weren’t for later. Not that difficult, the stewardess, she’s not a hostess, actually handles that perfectly. Ben is a baby and doesn’t see how sensitive he actually is.
@@kirstybrown1185 That's not what she conveyed to the chef. At 4:59, you can see that she tells Ben, "but he can have that as a snack later". @@kirstybrown1185 as a steward, before we ask the guest if they want to change their order we have to communicate first with our chef especially if he is working alone. Also, he is not targeting her he is just pissed because there’s a lot of confusion in the orders and it creates stress and more hassle. where she felt offended since she’s the one of responsible for that.
Jules shows all the classic sign of narcissistic traits. Let me explain: Guest requests croissants for breakfast. Brian hops in the tender boat to get croissants. Meanwhile hungry guest orders 4 burritos and fruit platter. Girl Jules, tells chef Ben - 4 burritos plus fruit platter and that the guest will eat croissants later. Croissants arrive while chef is plating up fruit platter and getting burritos ready. Jules says “do you want me to ask if he wants to have the croissant ones now?” Chef says “yeah, that’s fine” She informs guests that they have the croissants so they change their order to 3 burritos and one croissant. Jen informs chef Ben the same. Ben makes everything and the meal was a success, guests are happy. Back in the kitchen, chef Ben thanks Brian for getting the croissants and saving the day then adds “but the guests were expecting them for later” Jules overhears and corrects Ben then defends herself by insisting he understands that the idea that they were expecting them for later is incorrect. Jules then blatantly denies that instead of croissants they wanted burritos. Ben is confused. Jules then says Ben is making a big deal out of it. He’s not, he’s just confused that Jen is changing the story of what actually happened and blames Ben for being irate - which he’s not. Then Jules is all upset and is now playing the role of victim. Goes off and cries like it’s a terrible thing that happened. When Ben tries to have a rational conversation, saying it’s no big deal, she starts attacking his character and his perceived behaviour towards her, deflecting blame onto him, refusing to take any accountability other than to say she’s tired. But she is the one gaslighting him, making him question his own sanity. That girl was the problem here not the chef who remained calm throughout and sane and empathetic even. Jules is unhinged, over-emotional and definitely overreacting to nothing. Creating drama where there is none. Jules has played the game of gaslighting, drama-mongering, playing the victim, deflection, projection and scapegoating all in the space of a few short minutes. Classic Narcissistic behaviour right there. Poor Ben. Unless one knows how to deal with this exhausting type of person, life can be absolute hell.
I don't think she has narcissist traits, she was sensitive to him, it implies perhaps low self-esteem but not a narc, Meghan Markle is a narc for the best example out there. Jules explained to Ben that she has felt their communication wasn't great for weeks, so there was a build up and that can also add to her being sensitive and emotional. She did say the 'later' bit which contributed to the confusion, perhaps she thought the tender ride would take ages. Jules didn't click that Ben was questioning that, but not about her, either way it didn't matter because Jules asked Ben if she should ask if the primary would rather the croissant now and Ben agreed, a charter guest can change their mind and they did once they knew some was on board, so the 'later' thing should not have even an issue for Ben. Key thing for me was later Ben explained to Jules that he thought the tender driver was the one that took lead and went to the bakery ASAP when Jules had essentially, to Ben, decided later, it wasn't Jules he was questioning it was the lad as he remembered Jules said later and he maybe thought the lad jumped the gun. Now Jules correcting him wasn't done in the best way and Ben saying why is she making it a big deal also wasn't correct, if it wasn't a big deal to him why even say anything, and by big deal I mean it meant something to him enough to point out the later bit, so her responding in a way he didn't like gives him no right to make it out like she is making it a big deal and he isn't when he brought it up and she responded to what she overheard. Her response should have been different and with more explanation, but she already had negative interactions with Ben before, though not intentional by him, so I can understand how it spiralled. Had Ben said that to me I would have pointed out that I responded to him questioning the later bit and we can conclude the conversation there if it is no longer a big deal to him. 😂 It can't be one rule for him and different for others. He was also being somewhat... manipulative... might be too strong a word, but when she mentioned she was tired he immediately used that against her to say she is taking it out on him by admitting she was tired and sensitive, not cool. Instead he should have suggested they talk when she is no longer tired. She responded and she didn't name call him, but the tones towards each other did go south quickly so they're both as bad as the other, both made it a big deal, both were sensitive to the other, both misunderstood each other. It was good to see them both talk it out later and understand each other a bit better.
He does listen he simply doesn't suffer fools and weaklings... instead of hating people for making you feel anything, even though only you make yourself feel stupid etc, work on yourself to be tougher, that's and stop whinging!! He's probably my favorite cast member but he is 100% a gaslighter. He brings up the guest not caring whether he has the croissant later in the day, then claims he doesn't care and Julia is the one making the deal out of it. It's not the first time he's started a problem, only to turn it around on the other person and pretend they're the one with the issue.
@@anabellepreis1920 exactly i dont think this person actually watched the show or understands what actual gaslighting looks like bc he didnt make her feel that way at all it was a complete overreaction to a small thing about croissants
As a chef myself... you guys in the comments dont have a clue what your talking about end of the day your judged on what goes out on the plate in an industry where people think they can have there say about things when they have no clue and their opinions are invalid ...guess what when you cook with frozen turbot doesnt matter how you cook it ..never be the same as fresh -thawed or not.. it reflects on you and what impression the customers have could make or break your career... seems the chefs are trying to make it an enjoyable experience unlike other crew who are not as highly trained in their fields as the chefs are...apart from the onion guy that was mad lol
So by that logic, the clients who have paid a LOT of money to charter a yacht don't have a clue about what is on their plates, so what does it matter ultimately if the fish is frozen?. Sandy was right in saying that they have to make the best with what they have. All efforts are taken to get the best quality on board but it's not always possible. A chef worth the salary that they would be earning on these charters should have the skills to adapt and put out good quality meals.
The chefs are trying to make it an enjoyable experience by refusing to adapt to the real circumstances at hand? They’re pouting because it’s not perfect. Of course fresh is better than frozen. But fresh isn’t available at the moment, so make the best with what’s there instead of ruining everyone’s very expensive experience.
No they just do not accept lower quality ingredients for super rich clients as they A. want there return buisness and B. the better ingredients make for a better dish and you are judged on that as a chef at the end of the day

Ben is hilarious😊❤😂 Adam is something else👎🏽
Adam was like proud telling Captain Sandy he used onions🤦🏼♀️
Onions make me super sick so if I was served that after specifically putting it on the preference sheet and telling the chef I think I would have just left. I wouldn't be able to trust the chef from making me ill. Imagine if it was a severe reaction to the guests. That was so super insane!
Right some people reaction to even have in there month could be deadly, your so right I didn't think of it while watching the show he could have really caused a huge life threatening problem but if she went to anaphylactic shock I'm just saying he should have been fired. It's like if you ask for decaf coffee because you can't have caffeinated but the waitress gives you the super caffeinated Java it could be a death sentence for that person. Adam should never be a chef on this show ever again.. but then again it's a show and who knows what's done to make all these seens, it could have been his way of getting more paided camera time idk cameras at always in their face at the right moment u know.
@@mmalandsbirdies4012 You have a good point. If it wasn't hyped for the show and people watched it happen while recording then that's bad. If they did nothing then they deserve to never work on the show as well.

@@eddystronger They can’t cook their own food on the yacht. That is why they have a chef. And That’s why the guests send in their preference sheets of what they want and don’t want a few days before and the chef goes over it. He was doing that on purpose and to be funny.
My new response to people mad at me is gonna be “hang in there” 😂😂😭😭

I love how Jen was in the background watching Ben & Julia’s 🥐 argument
Too funny...lololol. She was eyeballing the whole time
I might be high asf but Ben was right in kitchen argument😭 Jewels definitely did say the customer wanted his croissant later as a snack cause it wasn’t available now. 😭
He said that only because it wasn't available for breakfast. He wanted it for breakfast, so se delivered.
Actually, it was her suggestion if they couldn't get it right away.
She then told him immediately they were getting some delivered, then didn’t have an issue when he was making them. He didn’t moan when he made it and didn’t have to make anything else. The issue is the guests messed her around, she told him everything as it happened. Then he spoke to her like she was an idiot when she was actually explaining the situation well. He’s petulant and always has been.
She is making an issue out of absolute AIR. Bloody hell! Who even fcuken cares? By the time she was making a fuss abt it, the croissants were quarter past becoming excrement. Jizasi! And then them mofocken tears. Ben is more patient than I am. FOR SURE.
Both are technically right. I just don't get why tf they both made it into such a big deal? Plus two of the three guests that wanted croissants decided to just stick with burritos once they arrived so there should be two extra croissants for the guy to have for later?
The onion thing cracks me up. My friend hates onions if she can see them, but if they are hidden she doesn’t even realise. But that onion and tomato phobia or hate is real lmfao 🤣
It doesn’t matter. If she doesn’t want onions in a restaurant, then that’s her prerogative.
"Queen of Crrrrroissant" 😂😂😂😂😂Ben was the best Chef ever!

It’s as if Captain Lee has cussing Gods Name down Pat. Really disturbing how much he says GD. Sandy is a dream compared to him
Ben is so funny , every thing he says it just make sense to him .
As well as had a cannabis oil pen (not sure if it was CBD or THC)
I had a job in which I had to declare I was on prescription and I would it got immediately fired if they found out I was on it and wasn’t disclosed
@@OlliePawsitivePets That was a pretext to fire her. Sandy is a terrible captain, with no management skills, and she was looking to fire her for anything.

Adam is absolutely ridiculous. the nerve of him
I don’t care what’s anyone says. Ben is the best and my favourite. He has saved the day so many times……
What Adam did was inexcusable and indefensible.

Chef tantrums are comedy gold.
lol this just made me remember how much i hate working with chefs
Captain Sandy was awesome in her assessment of what needed to happen with all the crew. Bravo 👏
I hate Malia.
She was awful too on the last season of Winter House
Sandy seems to make situations worse in her attempts to help

Sandy isn't a consistent boss.
True!
I was just thinking that. I have never liked her and just realizing how unpredictable she is. Rules always changing. Hard to tell what she wants
I ve been working as a freelance Chef for the past 16 years in megayacths and dozens of boat and I never had experience all this crap and drama...
Producers need the drama to get people to watch.
Then your elitist and you like to push the limits of Tolerance of your coworkers the captain and the charter guests.

Ben "I thought you'd lost your grip" That would be it for me, mind you his comments wouldn't have made me cry in the first place.
This is what we call Champagne Problems…
Tom said there was frozen fish twice in front of Captain Sandy. He’s either a liar or delusional.
Ben is a baby and doesn’t see how sensitive he actually is.
facts💯
@@kirstybrown1185 That's not what she conveyed to the chef. At 4:59, you can see that she tells Ben, "but he can have that as a snack later". So now the Chef thinks that he has to make four breakfast burritos. The order changes later on to two. Although the stewardness made the guests happy and handled the situation perfectly, she wasn't clearly conveying the situation to the chef.
@@poojamukherjee9628 naah I’m not hearing that, sooner or later, in every context means, either you receive something sooner or you receive something later. @@kirstybrown1185 as a steward, before we ask the guest if they want to change their order we have to communicate first with our chef especially if he is working alone. I also understand her point, I think she’s just been carried away by the fact that the guest loved her service but Ben felt otherwise. Also, he is not targeting her he is just pissed because there’s a lot of confusion in the orders and it creates stress and more hassle. where she felt offended since she’s the one of responsible for that.
Ben was just angry at the way she was pronouncing croissants
Here I am wondering how some meals would taste without onions 🤷.
Jules shows all the classic sign of narcissistic traits. Let me explain:
Guest requests croissants for breakfast.
Back in the kitchen, chef Ben thanks Brian for getting the croissants and saving the day then adds “but the guests were expecting them for later”
Jules overhears and corrects Ben then defends herself by insisting he understands that the idea that they were expecting them for later is incorrect.
That First World Problems comment at the end was both spot on and hysterical!
