  • Two cast members of "Below Deck Down Under" were fired in this week's episodes amid instances of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior. Captain Jason Chambers terminated the employment of bosun Luke Jones and second stewardess Laura Bileskalne on Monday night’s episodes of the reality series for their conduct toward their fellow crew members. Access Hollywood has reached out to Jones for comment. Bileskalne addressed the situation on Instagram on Tuesday, writing in part, "My sincere apologies to Adam, I did not realize I made him feel uncomfortable and no one should be put in that position. And to Margot to not [have] been able to empathize."

🎉 The production team are heroes for preventing sexual assault; capturing indisputable evidence against the predators on camera; and airing this footage so that the public knows how horrible Luke and Lauren are.
Margot is a hero for allowing her thoughts and feelings - when she was at her most vulnerable - to go public.
This is a situation that while unfortunate for the victims - Margot and Adam - shows how reality TV can make a difference in a good way.

That people identify that being drunk does not equal consenting to or contributing to any violation of boundaries is something those of us who were in this position and still struggle with calling ourselves victims because of the guilt, need. I’m so happy to see ppl like Aisha who I’ve always liked and captain Jason reaffirm that violating a persons consent is a violation no matter how much someone else would have “liked it”. They allowed that stews gaslighting to be gaslighting and didn’t blur the lines and I appreciate this so much.

Giving a guy a massage in his cabin when he didn’t want it was crossing the lines. If the roles were reversed and it was a guy doing it to a woman and she was feeling uncomfortable that guy would have fired immediately. But for guy going into that woman’s cabin in the nude while she was a sleep, what was he thinking? Any employer who does a Google search 👀 will not want hire him because he is a liability risk working with other women.

Very well handled. Very, very pleased to see people doing the right thing. I can completely relate to all of this. I had a manager once who was constantly trying to grope me. I was fending off groping attempts numerous times per day every day and the company refused to do a thing about it. According to HR, he "probably doesn't mean anything by it" or "He's probably just being friendly", "Its just his way" etc.
I've been non consensually groped by women too (im male) on various occasions in my life. On all occasions they thought I was being unreasonable for telling them to eff off and thought that their being female meant that it wasn't a sex crime.
In all of these events, I've faced victim blaming, minimalisation and mockery. Including from my own mother, people I've tried to report the offending to, and some (now former) friends.
Sexual harassment and assault are intolerable and must always be taken seriously. Good on the captain and Aesha for doing the right thing. So refreshing to see.

I felt bad for Adam for the sexual harrassment she directed at him. Disgusting behavior!..
I praise Cap Jason for his immediate action on firing both Luke and Laura..
I believe if production hadnt got drunken naked Luke off of Margo and out of her room, he would have SA her, for sure. Why else would he go into her room naked?.Laura is a big time narcissist. Self centered and always praised herself while putting down Aesha. Nothing is ever her fault.
Making everyone wait for her to get ready so they could all go out. She was even late for her shifts due to her personal grooming. The funny thing is, she never looked any better after taking hours to groom herself.
