I stayed at Lake Cachuma once when I failed to reserve a camp spot at the beach. I slept in a hammock hung between oak trees. The racoons were fiesty there. I felt something bumping my butt 3 times as I slept. I woke up to see 3 large racoons passing under me to go raid the nearby trashcan. 😂 My dog slept through the whole thing.
@@FDJT-47 I remember when we camped there with our kids many years ago in a tent. We used to hear noises at night too outside of our tent even though we put the food away.
Thanks for an awesome video. I especially loved the cooking part and I'm definitely going to try that bbq corn recipe. Good thinking with the scissors haha.
We sure are enjoying life a little bit too much too early. Lol We feel very blessed to be able to start our travel as empty nesters. We can’t wait until when we retire to to travel on longer trips. 🤗
OMG. You crack me up with the scissors to cut the meat and veggies. LOL. 🤣. I live in San Jose and the weather up here is pretty warm too. Shorts and tank tops all week long for me as well. Great idea to drink coffee out of straws. I need to get the super strong kind that won't get soft with hot lattes though. 😁
We used to live in San Jose. Very nice weather year round. You can try metal straws but it might be too hot! Lol I can drink hot coffee with metal straw but my husband says that’s too hot for him so he uses the plastic ones. Lol
@@BamBamRVAdventures I just put a set of metal straws into amazon and will try it out. Let's see how it works. I've just been avoiding straws all these years to save the sea-life. I see you also trying to save a star fish. If we can each do the little deeds of kindness, then there won't be so many big deeds that need doing. ❤️
My husband and I love your videos. We are about to purchase an Airstream Interstate 24 Grand Tour and can’t wait to explore like you and your husband. Thank you for posting!! Happy Travels :-)
We are in Rincon now but unfortunately we missed the really warm weather. It just got a little cooler but still nice. Haven't stayed in Cachuma in about 9 years. Love the California weather.
Yep, love the California weather. We are in Maryland now visiting our son and it’s cold! In the low 40s …… We haven’t been back to Lake Cachuma for more than 12 years so we forgot how nice it is.
The water is used for drinking so no body contact is allowed but you can fish and go boating. Lol The water level is lower because of the drought. Water level in all CA lakes are low due to the drought.
You choose a good life. It's good to see. I like the shishkabab. We see it. It's good. The camera see it. The meat is good. The cooking machine is good. The ninja. I don't see the generator working. Surely it needs power and I'm hardpressed to think it powers by battery. It is hooked up to shoreline I believe. Therefore, it is powered by electricity. I will look at it again to understand better. The life is good for you. I see it clearly. Thank you for saving the star fish. It is beautiful. We see your good deeds. They will be remembered for fondness.
Thank you Ephraim! We do have to turn on the generator for the ninja to work because our inverter is only 1000 watts. We plug the extension cord into the outlet right on the side of the van. This campsite doesn’t have hookup but we we’re able to use the ninja because of the generator on board the van.
Next time try all meat on one skewer, peppers on one, mushrooms another, whatever vegetable you have, combine like items, so you can cook them to the desired doneness. That way you don't overcook an item waiting for the others to cook.

Love the cooking with scissors,... too funny! 😄
Found more ways to use scissors now! 😂😂😂

Thank you Amy! Good thing we had the scissor or else we would have to eat the big pieces of steak like the caveman and cavewoman. 😂😂😂
Always a nice vlogs. Thanks!
Thank you Joseph! 🤗

The ninja looks like it works great. I'm glad you both are having a great time and thanks for the journey.
Thank you Ken. We have to try to bake a cake in the Ninja grill next time. Lol

Great video, It looks like a long walk to the water though. Is the water low because of the drought?
