Rare Occurrence At Death Valley! Must Visit Before It’s Too Late!

- Hurricane Hillary in August , 2023 brought torrential rainfall to Death Valley causing flooding. The park was closed for 2 months. When it reopened Badwater Basin is still flooded with water about 6-10” deep. It is a rare sight to see and even more special when we get to walk in the water that looks like a big lake.

As far as our demographic goes as audience, in case that matters, we are probably in the same age group. And my profile picture is of our beloved cat (Darlene mentioned it). We have no RV (yet) and so we have been using our car, SUV and Jeep (stock) for the occasional weekend SoCal getaway, with hotel stays on extended weekends. Other than your channel bringing great inspiration for us to get out of our house more, watching how cheerful and how comfortable you two can make camping work, is a good motivation for getting an RVs as well. Either way, we are happy to follow your travel adventures. Cheers. 😻

This was a great trip! So amazing to see water there at badwater basin. We love the area and try to visit each year but alas this year we have other plans so thanks for showing us - great job on the footage and editing :). Love the meals you guys cook they look so good! Starlink sure is a boone for those of us who have to work on the road isn't it? Great job on this one!

I know right? Didn’t even know about the water in Badwater Basin until we got there.
My favorite National Park. We go there couple of times a year in the winter through spring. We almost went this weekend, but couldn't get reservations at Furnace Creek Campground. My wife and kids won't do sunset or stovepipe wells campgrounds unless it's only an overnight stop lol. I don't mind either one. So many cool places there that most people don't visit.
It’s our favorite NP too. Such unique landscapes. We like Texas Spring campground better than Sunset and Stovepipe Well campgrounds because it has firepit, picnic table, flush toilets. water and dump station. It’s on a higher elevation and beautiful scenery. We couldn’t reserve Furnace Creek either because of last minutes plan. So glad we could camp at Texas Spring campground.
the salton sea also was up and we never have enough water here in California due to AG wasting over 70% of water growing unsustainable crops..great videos though keep the content up! So sorry you still have to work..I worked to much and should have quite sooner...money doesnt buy life love or happiness..carpe diem!

Can your driver seat turn around like the passenger seat?
Hi Randy, thank you for watching. It does turn around like the passenger seat when we take out our subwoofer behind the seat. My husband prefers to have his subwoofer there so can’t turn the driver chair around,

Is there a celfon signal there at campground?
Thank you for watching Erwin. There is no cell signal at the campground or in Death Valley. We had very weak cell signal at the hotel where we stayed 2 years ago.

We always watching your videos everytime you have a new upload video. We owned also a class B rv too. Enjoy and have fun always on your trip.
