The moment that will forever define his career. This injury changed the career paths of several other players, as well as himself.
Morales Shouldn't Have Celebrated Too Soon Or Else This Happens
What happen
@@gangland479 Broke his leg and was out for the season I think. Was never really the same after that.
This led to him being a big part of the World Series champs Kansas City Royals
@@tedgrowney8981 if those two Cubs players hadn’t ran into each other the angels could have won the 2010 World Series
Whose watching after Diaz injury
Angles have basically been a mediocre franchise ever since this moment. Props to Morales for becoming a World Champion years later with the Royals.
Mediocre is average. Angels arent even that.
I still have hope, it’s the Dodgers you guys are competing with. I go for the Angles of all the California teams. From a Nationals fan
And a Silver Slugger too! 2015 really was his golden year.
Angels being mediocre has nothing to do with this. Asinine comment 👎
@@millypoo7713 Why are you so mad?
Just came here after I heard about his retirement. Although this was a setback and what he may be known most for, he had a heck of a career and I believe he won a WS with the Royals in '15. Enjoy retirement Kendrys!
Here after Edwin Diaz hurt in the WBC
Ain't we all
That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw Diaz went down.
This immediately came to mind after watching Edwin Diaz get injured celebrating in the WBC.
Some people are saying cancel the wbc because of the injury. That sounds stupid, would they say cancel the playoff if it happened in playoffs ?
@@matty2na what you are saying is an unfair comparison. Some countries don't care at all about the world series, but live and breathe the WBC, you are looking at it from an american standpoint, but what about everyone else?
Now, Edwin Diaz!
I remember this game. It was the only Angel game I went to that year. He was never the same.
umm he had good career after this?
Any one here after Diaz’s injury? Damn these are the worst scene to see in baseball
Unfortunately he was never the same player
He had a really good 15 for the Royals. They dont win the world series without him.
Ground Zero for the angels curse
This jump changes the history of him, Pujols and Angels.
That is just sad.
Dude. That is one of the saddest videos I’ve ever seen. I remember watching this live - life time mariners fan.
He had us in the first half not gonna
Lie
What a shame. It’s always the freak injuries like this that end up being the worst
Was at this game when i was seven haven't been to many games so interesting that this is still in people's heads.
Enjoy retirement and time with family
This is the must embarrassed thing can happen to a person.
this is why players still don't jump anymore after walkoffs lol
Gabriel Carlos Cosme-McCarville Not always true.
I've seen players jump plenty after this
alex verdugo did with the dodgers
Hank Hill would like a word with this man.
Dang it Kendrys!
"Kendry" Morales? Is there an "s" missing? Or did he change his name in the last 5 years?
MLB wrote his name wrongly without the S until 2011. Still you hear some comentators call him "Kendry"
MetsGiantsRangersKnicksNYSports is he Dominican? those folks have weird names.
Yes, he changed his name
Gus Cuban
If that had never happened Kendrys morales wouldn't have been a royal
He could've been the MVP that year
true
️Pujols wouldn't be an Angel
Pujols Would Still Be A Cardinal
Whos here after hes retirment ???
I meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I was reading an article about it and was interested in this
@@Tourszs17 hahaha same bro I saidddd whattttttttt this cant be true lolol
This is the best way to describe the Angels to this very day.
same feeling as the ending of a curb episode. wow it doesn't feel any better to watch after all these years.
one of the most fucked up things to happen in sports
Nah, pretty sure that award goes to a hockey player who had their throat slit by a skate on live TV. They survived to my recollection.
The moment kids dream of coming true- only to be ruined by injury. Ouch
If he never got hurt the angels don’t sign Albert pujols.
They would have done it. The only reason they signed Albert was for the brand recognition so they could get more money from selling jerseys. They would have moved Morales to permanent DH and still signed Pujols.
Lesson: Celebrate like you’ve been there before 😂😆🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤪🤪😎
Quién viene a ver esto después de la lesión de Edwin Diaz celebrando con Puerto Rico en el clásico mundial de beisbol 2023.
It's 2024 and the Angels still have not recovered from this
Wouldnt believe it if i didnt watch it live.
And players still do this type of nonsense.
Dang , you were right . Just happened to Edwin Diaz.
This injury cost him 2 years
"We won, but at what cost?"
"Why didn't you guys catch me??"
That guy is about as big of a jerk formally in the MLB. True piece of work.
Cart off grand slam
Lol!! 😂😂
This is unusual.
0:24 it was at this moment Kendry knew.....
....
He fucked up
he had one good full year before this so ppl saying he was never the same, we cant really know what he was gonna be...so many players have a good rookie year and then fall off and its not like he fell off THAT much
That was his 11th home run of the season in the middle of May.
So he jumped up and landed wrong and broke his leg bone? Geezuz. Worst luck ever.
This was the most stupid injury for an Angel ever.
Jack Ridge no it's just the most stupid injury period
Jack Ridge for anyone
@@huckchuck9968 Pretty close. The most stupid injury was in San DIego in 2007, when Milton Bradley injured his ACL--while going after the umpires after he was ejected. Ted Leitner summed it up: "Now....I've seen everything."
I was there
Embarrassing
The Castro brothers did that 😂
Celebrated too hard
He broke his leg
You sure your facts are accurate?
Kayla Burke yea Morales broke his leg
@@kaylaburke5640 And missed two seasons
I'm sorry but this will forever be hilarious. Hate seeing anyone get injured so please forgive me 😂
😂😂😂
FAIL
this is one of the many 'curse' moments of angels.
angels. baseball.
😂😂😂
