I like the ink and wash look and it seems a little easier for beginners. A cute whimsical Paris street or French village scene would be fun. Also, I would love a whimsical ink and wash gingerbread house design. You are going to get sick of my suggestions! 😂

I’m new at watercolor and I’m looking for small projects to practice. I love your Xmas card projects. They look like fun and ok if not perfect. Thank you. What tape are you masking with? ❤
Hi there! It’s wonderful to hear you’re getting started with watercolor-small projects like these are such a fun way to practice and enjoy the process. I'm using a washi tape to keep the borders clean. I've included a link to it in the video description (the 4th item in the supply list). It's gentle on paper and doesn't leave residue!
Love your style! My channel has little to do with cards but I do toy around with them often at home, drawing mostly. I do the safety measure by drawing on a small piece of card stick (or blank index card) then attaching (with glue) it to a blank card. Saves on making mistakes and having to discard the whole project. I’m guessing you could trim down watercolor paper and attach the painting to a blank card. Keep up your lovely work!

You're so welcome! I'm so glad the list was helpful and you're excited to start! Any pencil will work-just sketch lightly or use an eraser to lighten the marks before adding ink. If you'd prefer a pencil that naturally leaves lighter marks, I recommend a 2H pencil. Its hard graphite makes lighter lines compared to standard pencils, which leave darker lines due to their softer graphite. Do you fold the card ??? Where are you doing any writing or signing the card ???
