    This was such an easy to understand tutorial! I have my first resin 3D printer on the way as of writing this and now I feel even more stoked and confident!

    I've been toying with the idea of getting into 3d printing for awhile now but always found the slicing aspect of it too intimidating. After watching this video I feel more confident in my ability to do it and will probably finally buy a printer now. Thanks!

    Just a little tip for the maring/pip holes caused by supports. If you do get them an easy way to repair it is to just grab a toothpick and dip it into your printer's resin and lightly dab it into the marks, use the toothpick to 'flatten' the resin placed then cure it per normal. A little bit of an extra wash as if it just came off the build plate to remove any left over residue uv resin typically leaves behind. On occasion a light bit of sanding may be needed if the dab of resin created a bit of a hump, but most the time it's fine as is and the little support marks vanish completely. I've done this for objects with a flat surface and high detail. So them little support marks are not the end of the world. :3

    @Core Electronics, the "standard" anti-aliasing option is no longer present, the available options are now: Smooth Surfaces, Sharpen Details, Contrast Blur. Which option do you recommend to achieve the same result and with what settings?

    what about models that would form CUPS. How should the model be oriented? If the cups are up then every layer would trap resin in the cup. Alternatively, if I flip the part now the cup's open side faces the fep and on every retract it forms a suction cup that pulls the model off the supports. So I do not know how I should orient the model? I would prefer not to suction it off the supports but I do not know if pooling resin in cups would break the model?

    • @Core-Electronics
      @Core-Electronics  2 года назад

      This is a conversation very related to producing hollow resin 3D prints, concerns with suction and pooling resin. Depending on the shape I would likely have the cup's open side face/touch the print platform. Then I would make a small hole right on the rim of the cup to prevent a big vacuum forming. Open up a forum post, you can send through photos and I'll be able to help more.

      I think you can just print it on the side and support it properly

    I can’t get it to run in a decent window, the bottom part is not seen on 1600 x 900 px. No way to reach the settings then. It’s been a long time that a software engineer couldn’t make this work. Shame, I wanted to try!

    hello,
    why is leehy slicer showing 312 hours for printing at 0,50 layer hight? Whats wrong with the estimation?

    • @Core-Electronics
      @Core-Electronics  2 года назад

      Perhaps have a look at your Resin/Printer profile, there is a time per layer override setting that you can dial in to get better estimates.

    Nice to have an Aussie on the RUclipss :). Great video but I feel you under emphasized the amount of work you did to make Majora’s Mask look the way it does. A “couple of licks of paint” really doesn’t tell the story and I’d hate to be me a year ago thinking that I could do that as easily as you made it out to be. You are a talented artist so you should tell it like it is.
    Sorry. Didn’t mean to Karen-on.

  • @knight_lautrec_of_carim

    you said that the best option is to face the "pretty side" away from the build plate so why not just lay the mask on its back? I don't understand this odd angle

    what it the txt file after you slice ? is it useful in the printers?

    • @Core-Electronics
      @Core-Electronics  2 года назад

      Because I have creality machines Lychee produces | .ctb | files that get read by the Creality LD-002H UV Resin 3D Printer. If you are Saving the Scene its outputs as a | LYS File |. You can also export your models as | .obj| and |.stl|, as well as some legacy lychee formats.

    hi! do i need a USB just like chitubox? how do i go about that process?

    • @Core-Electronics
      @Core-Electronics  Год назад

      For a majority of 3D printers the fastest and easiest way to transfer the sliced file data is through USB. Once you save the file onto the USB you can pull it out from your computer and plug it straight into your 3D printer 😊.

    HOW to ignore lychee slicer if it show some model error which can not be repaired? i PRINTED it via chitubox with no problems

    • @Core-Electronics
      @Core-Electronics  2 года назад

      Most probably the error your seeing is a Non-Manifold Object error.
      Chitubox cannot detect non-manifold objects or other errors like that, which is why you don't see the error popping up there.
      You likely won't have problems printing your model with Lychee if you are able to print it with Chitubox, just ignore the Error message and continue as normal 🙂. Hope that helps buddy.

    My Lychee does not allow "Auto Supports" that option is grayed out

    • @Core-Electronics
      @Core-Electronics  2 года назад

      Make sure to re-click the model after navigating to the Prepare Stage. That way it knows what to focus the Auto Supports on and as soon as you do the option won't be grayed out.

    • @Core-Electronics
      @Core-Electronics  2 года назад +1

      Elegoo Mars 3 is software locked to Chitubox and allows no other slicer. I have a feeling that is the issue here. All previous Mars 3D printers you have the freedom to choose slicer and can add their specs to Lychee Slicer by clicking the | 3D Printer | near the top left of the screen.

    • @Core-Electronics
      @Core-Electronics  2 года назад +1

      Within Lychee is some file fixing methods which you can find near the warning that it is not manifold.
      You can also still slice files in this manner and through visual inspection see the impact that it will have. If it is only a minor thing (say you loose a small featured) you can print your file normally.
