Thank you, Jennifer and Sheila for keeping Steve's memory alive and kicking! Can't wait to try these wings, they look great, but, boy, I do miss the day when you could buy wings for $0.50 per pound!
Can't wait to make these, but will wait for a sale on wings. Not paying what they are wanting now. If more wait, maybe that will she that we aren't putting up with the nonsense. Thank you two ladies for the great recipe.
I was looking for some sushi videos when a video of this Channel popped up, it was a about Nobu, and then I opened this new full of greatness Channel. ❤
I use the mustard on some baked wings today along with olive oil little pepper and salt a little barbecue rub and I placed a little butter on top anyways going back to the mustard they changed wings and they were great so thanks for your tip and God bless shotgun red
These look amazing! I am curious how much of the mustard flavor you taste--I have a hardcore non mustard eater in the house haha. Is there something i could sub that would still taste great?
Depending on the size of your crockpot. You probably need to Keep it at least 1 1/2 inches from the top. Maybe rotate the bottom ones from The top and turn them in the crockpot halfway though to ensure they get completely done.
I've heard stories of 5 cents per pound in the 60's. A friends mother sent him to the local butcher when he was around 12 (early 60's) to get wings. He claimed they were free at the time. His father owned a hardware store in town. In those days, if the store owner knew you, you could put purchases on a tab and get billed. No credit card, just your word. When he sold the Hardware store 30 years later he had 200K in accounts receivables. He walked away from it. The new owners could TRY and collect and if successful the $$$ was theirs. I am not saying the butcher took advantage of the easy credit, but it is possible he gave them wings because he owed $$$ to his dad. I doubt the new owners were very successful in collecting on the old debts. But it is a fun story. I told him one day, they were not free. He probably owed dad $$$ from hardware purchases. Paint brush, paint, tools, etc.

Can you put to many wings in the crockpot, or is it ok to add all it will hold? Like a dozen or two..

I'm echo the sentiments of @donfrost9457 missing the days when chicken wings could be bought for around $.50 per pound!
