"Sign guy" to the left of me was holding a sign that read, "I'd shit a brick if I got the W6rst's pick". The sign had a picture of shit, a brick, and a pick. (0:07) At the end of G.O.A.T. Tim acknowledges "sign guy" by pointing at him. (3:30) Later in the show Tim tosses "sign guy" a pick which gets dropped and lost in a metal platform that was holding up the rail. Everyone including the security guards were using cell phones and flashlights to try and find this once in a lifetime magical pick. A few songs later Tim pulls the ultimate move... He steps off stage, leans over to the rail, and hands "sign guy" a pick. "Sign guy" was at the show with his "sign girl".

Yeaaa. I came here from a video from 2019 and it was insane to me how sloppy they were live. If your whole thing is technical playing you gotta back it up. This is a big improvement.

The first pick fell in the crack of the metal plate holding up the railing. I could see it but needed pliers or something to get it lol
But yeah if your friend has it, I would really like to get my hands of a video of it happening. Like you said in your description, it was a once in a lifetime thing

was scott really this low or is it because your phone was closer to tim's amp ?
The stage volume is pretty low for both Tim and Scott. It sounded like Scott was a little lower in the mix overall.

@@EvanGrasso_ I wasn't at this show so I can't say for sure, but I've noticed that sometimes if I'm close to the stage and further on one side rather than centered, sometimes I'll hear too much of one guitarist and not enough of the other. It's honestly a more common problem than I would expect for modern concerts.
It's because he's right in front of the right speaker. There isn't much they can do about that while preserving some semblance of stereo separation. I just saw them and was hearing Scott way louder than Tim because I was on the left side, I eventually made my way over to the mixer and obviously it was perfect there.
@@becauseiey sound guys do this on purpose. Gives it more of a stereo effect. When you walk to one side you hear more of the guitar on that side.
If you listen to professional live recordings on RUclips with headphones on, they mix it the same way.

What is amazing for me when any of them playing the g.o.a.t, they don't even look on the fret. Just sometimes. I'll try so hard to play tim's section but its too hard right now. Sorry for my English, im from poland. Respect to any one who can play that song.

They are great musicians and Tim is a genius. But… I just can’t get into it. Kinda like prog rock, I know that Yes and ELP were amazing but, for me they were very hard to get into. Oh well. Rock on doing what you do Polyphia.

I would say he is the front man for the band. Most Polyphia fans at the show were there to see Tim. He certainly gets the most attention. But the entire band is killer and they deserve equal credit.

They are really great musicians no doubt. The style of play is different and sounds cool.. but i cant listen to them because songs all sound the same to me. The guitars all have that same type sound and i just cant get with it. I dont mean any disrespect like i said they are very talented in they way they play but just aint my thing
As talented as they quite clearly are I feel the same, it just leaves me cold. The performance here is also really dull, lacks any energy.
