It's the PTSD mod, adds some flashbacks for the mc, it's purely for aesthetic and does nothing but mess with your characters vison
Ya seams legit. A war vet that literally says “war never changes” and has seen nukes go off will have severe PTSD. And in boundary it would of been like what 1 or 2 days in the main characters view since they saw there world be destroyed.

@@britaniondragon3903 Not every nuclear warhead is mounted to a Minuteman missile and a MIRV Launch system, the W-54 for example only has a yield of 10 tons of TNT, granted it's the smallest, the M-28 Nuclear Rocket launcher had a warhead with a only 20 Ton TNT yield, while Fat Man for Comparison had a yield of 21 kt yield, while the bomb at the Castle Bravo Test had a 15 Mt yield, the footage of which is truly worth watching.

What about NAC itself? You can use it with Buffout 4 if you have that mod as well. There's a patch for the two to play nicely together.

@@nathanbristol4506 yes, NAC X is the legacy version of NAC, which has over 5'000 weather and preview option.
This is the mod I use in VR....... Makes the radiation sea borderline impossible to navigate..... And when you hear the sirens..... All i wanna do Is sprint to the nearest indoors cell.

For A PTSD mod, silent hill is so oddly yet perfectly relevant.
@@illogicalbear6200 kinda gives me a weird idea of a silent hill fallout crossover game lol, maybe in one section for a otherworld transition nukes go off, but instead of the shockwave coming fast it comes slow, pealing off the ground and walls to reveal flesh and mesh, maybe screaming could be heard and then once the character is engulfed in the shockwave the entire area turns into this hellish nightmarish realm filled with corpses and skeletons, all with the mushroom cloud in the background

@Ace Vadergames they aren't the same. They are moderated, and we have a total of like 40 mods that we can possibly install.

Yes nukes that big exist keep in mind the nukes we dropped on Japan are the smallest nukes ever in existence outside or the M48 Davey Crockett which we developed before/ during the Korean War to fire mini nukes from the back of a standard issue keep with the mounting kit I’m not sure if RUclips still has the footage but look into the tsar bomba the largest thermonuclear test demonstration ever done , the ones in the mod seem to have a similar blast yield to the Polaris which was a thermonuclear missile designed in the beggining of the 90’s iirc
Also just some fun factoids , if you are within the cloud range of the nuclear device you will be turned into black ash and vaporized in a literal nano second however 90% of nuclear casualties don’t come from radiation or the initial blast but the shock wave

Apparently the same warhead used in the Davy Crockett (W54) was originally developed to also be usable with the AIM-4 air-to-air missile. I was trying to figure out why you would want a nuclear warhead in an air-to-air combat situation, and the best answer I could find is that the idea was to take out entire bomber fleets with a single weapon. The fact that we seriously considered using these kinda goes to show how cavalier people used to be when it came to nuclear ordinances.

For anyone wondering, this mod is called: NACX. It’s much more than just a weather mod but it’s advertised as such so it can be deceiving.
I forgot what mods I had on while playing L4D2 once. Played Dead Center and didn't encounter a single Tank until the last part. Heard All Star by Smash Mouth and was attacked by Shrek.

I remember installing this weather mod on a survival playthrough. I didn't know this would even happen in NAC but when it did it scared the absolute shit out of me.
Yeah I saw this first hand, was wandering around and noticed that things were glowing rather blue, only to see a bolt of lightning strike the ground at a distance and it bursted into a nuclear explosion. Was surrounded by them and everything, wanted to nope right out of there, the big nuke even turned my night into day even lol

What would make this all the more crazy is if someone integrated the zone emissions just like in stalker. One minute everything is fine and then suddenly the alarms start going off as your pipboy radio warns you of an incoming emission. You gotta flee to safety or die immediately. The only things immune are super mutants, mutants, and ghouls. Everything else is dead or undead after the emission is over.

NACX - Natural Atmospheric Commonwealth.. I had that weather trigger randomly while I was building my little metal shack in Starlight Drive-In (right in the starting zone) to tone down for the night .. it was so cool.

My favorite is the silent hill/Mist mod. At least once every other day a super heavy fog will roll in spawning in truly horrible monsters and you have to hide inside while they rampage around cause they're extremely hard to kill. You can stealth by them as well

The thing fallout 4 gets wrong that really grinds my gears is not the “clearly wrong side bolt action rifle bolt” mechanism, but shock waves. IE the intro mission when the nuke goes off.
The shock wave IS the sound! You wouldn’t hear a thing until that hit you.

This mod is called NAC X btw for those who dont know. Its a weather/Overhaul mod. This is one of the weathers they added. In the Radstorm section is called "Fallout"
Theres also firestorms. Red Radstorms. Time Warp storms. Snowstorms etc

There are definitely bombs way bigger than that. I think the explosion alone from the Tsar bomb reached 37 miles high and damaged builds 100 miles away from the drop point. Scary thing is…that’s the nerfed version of the original plans.

I think this is NAC X weathers, adds a bunch of cool different weathers, radiation fog, overcast, pretty clouds (rarely), and time slow storms in the glowing sea. Cool stuff

Crazy thing is that the tsar Bomba explosion was bigger than that and that wasn't even the big one. The one they blew up was 50 megatons and the big one is 100 megatons and they were scared if they detonated it that it would irrevocably change the earth.
