+mochadiva your hair can't show from under the brim per regulation. You may have two visible clips in your hair per regulation. In boot camp they made us with bangs clip to the side with the snappy clips we were able to purchase from the NEX our first week there

+Nihssa B they hydrate you a lot. Always encouraged water intake so they provide a lot of bathroom breaks. And yes, if you need to use the head just let someone know. It's not that serious, it truly isn't! It will all be ok. You'll see how easy it is when you get there and you'll wonder why you ever worried:)

But like they make it seem like you hardly have NO TIME to change or even take care of your buisness [unless it's very very rushed] Also, I was told by my recruitor that five days a week your mostly in a pool doing stuff. And periods and water do not mix. And for me, I literally have to change every hour. Cause I go super heavy.

Nice information. I remember back in 87 when I went through boot camp in Orlando wondering what accommodations were made for the ladies. I would imagine that had to be a huge concern for any young lady about to enter boot camp. It is nice that technology has come as far as it has and that there are folks like you willing to put the info out there. Must put a lot of minds at ease ahead of time.

to have it so when you leave basic you will be ok. you aren't in basic forever. also, as a guy i wouldn't expect you to know- but birth control actually helps with really bad cramps and heavy periods, it can even help you to skip periods. so that's a good reason to do it in boot camp :)
you can wear a tampon and a pad. some divisions made their recruits wear the navy pt shorts beneath their uniforms!!! we basically wore the shorts as a part of our body the entire time. like the simpsons cartoon, they never wear anything different. that's how i felt lol. anyhow, i've never bled out during my period so idk. maybe a super tampon and a super pad?

I keep hearing that it is an essential for female recruits (in the Marines anyway) and I am told what to use but have no clue how to use those damn bun socks or whatever the hell they are. You had mentioned getting IT'd due to females leaving female products on the floor in the head. But my division got IT'd because a female took a shit on the head floor in the middle of the night and smeared it on the bulkhead, NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE!! Nasty as hell.
During Marine corps boot camp most of us didn't get our periods because of the rigorous training we had to go through it was kind of weird but it was one less thing to worry about.
lol no worries. i hear you don't get a ton of time tho, lots of times your'e on duty (standing watch) maybe get 2 days out of the 3 or 1 out of the 2 or i don' honestly know. not as much as you'd like because you get off the boat last as an E3 and below and have to be the first to be back for curfew... then standing in line to make curfew..

You don't know how it is until you get it to be honest. I got mine during the time we had to live in a forest for 10 days. It started out of the blue (I already had my period a week before that) and I had other problems aswell, but once I understood how to manage it, it was all fine, really. The more you worry, the worse it will seem.

Also, taking asvab today and while I'm going for intel, wanted to see if you had a suggestion for a job that you have maybe wished you signed for, so I can have a backup ready. Thanks.

The observer who looked like a 7 foot version of Susan Powter, was cool though and hooked me up. Towards the end of BC came round two. Since I had no provisions left I smartly knocked on the CC (RDC)'s door and standing at attention stated my predicament. He then spent the next 5 minutes talking to the SR CC about how he used tampons soaked in anti-dear scent and hung them in trees and bushes when he went hunting while I stood there clenching my Kegel muscles to keep the warm trickle from flowing down my leg. Wonderful memories!

BIG QUESTION!! (stupid question lol) Is there any bugs in boot camp? like do you ever have to like do anything that includes any wierd and discusting bugs? (surprisingly this is really wondering in my head)

i shaved on sundays. the females wear the long blue PT shorts over the bathing suit. yall don't go full-on-swimmingsuit. shorts go down to your knees ish

This is a weird question, but what's like the worst punishment you got for that kind of thing? Like say some girl was (pretty brave and) refusing to use a tampon for a swim call, would you just get IT'd for a while, or was it worse? Saraberry you could get separated from the military for disobeying a direct order. you have to pass the swim qual in order to graduate boot camp.
