lolllll havent watched this all the way through in forever, dying laughing at my being spooked at the end. roommate couldn't catch me talking to myself smh
I'm enlisting soon I have had anxiety before but now it's under control and I never lose composure I feel like the military will give me a purpose and a sense of confidence it has always been my dream to join the Marines specifically but due to a tatoo on my hand I can't only the Navy because they're more lenient well my question is did you ever meet anyone in the military who has anxiety ? I personally think I'm fit for the military I won't let nothing hold me back I feel like the military will bring me stability and security and help me become a better and more disciplined individual
I wish I would have videoed myself after boot camp. You forget soo much. Thankfully your videos are bringing it all flooding back!! Great times at Fort Jackson '04!!
if your a school is across the street, you can. if not, you can't take a box with you, they will have to ship it. because after you graduate friday morning, you still have to stay in the barracks that night, in your same old boot camp rack, and all of that stuff will be considered contraband
nah, i had a chest xray and everything for my cough. f u do fall ill they are super thorough and they make sure your training halts until you are better. the dangers of physical strain while that ill are very evident and they take every precaution, as long as that recruit voices their illness!
yes you can, kind of. if your'e going across the street for your a-school it's easier. some people hid their cell phones that day- cuz ur fam comes for graduation and you get liberty, but you have to come back to the barracks and sleep so you really can't have anything. you can take as much as you want to a-school- or a more practical way of saying this is you can have as much SHIPPED to you as you like, u sleep in boot camp that night so you can't bring stuff, really.
Hahaha! "They give you a sea bag full of shit". Wow, is that official Navy speak? Seriously, what a great bunch of videos you've made. I have to live vicariously through these RUclips videos since I'm A. Waaaaay too old to join the military and, B. Waaaay too disabled, even when I was young enough to join. And I really could have benefited from the discipline and structure of the U.S. Navy.
all of the above. rumor has it they were getting ''in trouble'' for going too hard (which, i mean are you kidding me, it's the military, the point is to go hard) so they've changed some things since i've been there
anangelsstar I got a 78 on my ASVAB and I knew before I even took the ASVAB that I wanted to go for EOD. A 50 is the minimum required so it really isn't as hard as you think it is. They will also require you to jump in the pool and combat stroke for them and do push ups and sit ups and also run 1.5 miles in under the time given to you. If you are interested in any special forces TELL YOUR RECRUITER BEFORE YOU TAKE THE ASVAB. There are people that go to the same recruiting center I do that wished that they were doing special forces but now have to wait until they are in the Navy to even be considered. Hope this helps!
Oh okay, well is there anyway possible to get some stuff from them like I am shipping out january so, i have a box of what I'd like my family to bring for me when they come to graduation, could they bring that box for me and I take it to A-school personally (it'll mostly contain civilian clothes and just electronics). Or will they not allow that and i have to wait for them to ship it to me..?
Amanda Smith lol! I'm sure it wasn't. The average person's short term memory struggles under stress. She probably had a ton of more important things to remember than the girl's social.
one guy got ITd for 3 hours because they forgot about him lol, we got ITd for 2 hours straight once, it all depends on ur RDCs, rumor has is they are letting up on people tho
word! you got great vids btw. do you think you can just kinda go over what they say in the moment of truth... just cuz im getting horror storied about P-Days especially moment of truth.
I'm so scared like I don't know what I want to do when I'm older. I have two older brothers and one is in the Navy and the other went to college. What should I do? I'm a girl so my mom doesn't want me going into any other branch aside from Navy or Air force but I don't know if I want to go to college... Bleh.
Join the Navy or Air Force. While you are in they have programs that you can contribute certain amount of your pay to a college tuition account. DON'T be afraid. Sure its going to be the biggest cultural shock your likely to EVER experience, BUT the education and training is something many employers look for. I'm a retired Senior Chief Petty Office now and own my own printing company with 10 employee's...6 of them are military veterans.
Went to talk to a recruiter today. Have some stuff to work on with ASVAB and might have to wait a year to apply because of meds... hopefully everything goes right , any advice?
Hi, I have been thinking about joining the Navy since I was a little girl. I know I still have 3 years until I graduate but I have been watching a bunch of videos about the boot camp and stuff like that. What exercises does everyone have to do? Just so that I am prepared for what is coming, if I do join! I do hope that I will get into Annapolis to pursuit by dream but if not I would defiantly join the Navy after high school!
Sorry if this sounds strange but how was your life before joining the navy and how is it now that you're in the navy? Has it changed for better or worse? I ask because I'm trying to enlist and get a career and do something worthwhile with my life.
IT sounds so scary even though you said it wasn't THAT bad. I'm not in awful shape but I'm not that great either, so I guess I deserve to get embarrassed if I am called out and have to do stuff but still haha that seems so scary :( how long do they make you do stuff individually for?
Work out sure be fit, in boot camp your hardest thing to deal with is mental culture shock. Learn to liston to every word spoken and process each word. If you can do that you will be more then fine.
+Izamar Ibarra you're almost there! i woudln't worry- even if you are bad at running almost everyone failed their first PFA while there. their numbers improved a lot and we all passed our final PFA. they won't fail you if they know you're giving your all... and if you fail the final PFA you literally just stick around boot camp and run it until you pass it. they won't kcik you out for that.
Online look up a local recruiter, heck you can call them. They should make an effort to come out and talk to you and your family if you so desire. 2. Know or at least have a decent idea of what you would like to do. Ps. Military service is hurry up and wait, nothing like video games or movies ide note.
Plasma girl did boot camp give you pneumonia ? Thinking of Usoniang your cute little videos to convince my 18 year old daughter she needs to join up . But shoot I don't want her to end up in the sick bay !
+Karelyn Richardson it's not really a problem. they will *try* to station you all near each other, but there's obvs a chance that may not happen. in which case, they pay you separation pay. at least they did navy to navy. idk how anything works in relation to the army. i was stationed in SD and a girl there was trasnferred from VA because her husband, marine, was in SD as well. they moved her after a year of her doing whatever she had to do to get her orders switched. idk the process.
lolllll havent watched this all the way through in forever, dying laughing at my being spooked at the end. roommate couldn't catch me talking to myself smh
PlasmaSpeedos i feel old....i've watched all kinds of Video's.....and everyone is SUPER young I'm 25 and I wanna join but now I feel to old
I'm enlisting soon I have had anxiety before but now it's under control and I never lose composure I feel like the military will give me a purpose and a sense of confidence it has always been my dream to join the Marines specifically but due to a tatoo on my hand I can't only the Navy because they're more lenient well my question is did you ever meet anyone in the military who has anxiety ? What were the Swishy Shorts?
I'm really loving how informative your videos are! thank you so much for being so REAL with it!
I wish I would have videoed myself after boot camp. You forget soo much. Thankfully your videos are bringing it all flooding back!! Great times at Fort Jackson '04!!

I'm thinking about going into the navy, so your video really helped. Thank you for the first-person perspective and info ^.^
your videos are the best. i leave for bootcamp in november and you answer all my questions. thank you so much.
Don't be afraid of anything. There is absolutely nothing to be afraid of. Military basic training is only as hard as you make it.
You are 100% correct. Retired Senior Chief here. RTC Orlando Dec.'77-Jan78. WAY different back then but the idea is true to this day.
GOOD LUCK!! my brother went into the army this year he graduates in 12 days fort benning georgia HERE WE COME!!
Hahaha! "They give you a sea bag full of shit". Wow, is that official Navy speak? Seriously, what a great bunch of videos you've made. By the way, IT stand for Intense Training and then because of formal compaints, they switched it to Intructional training.
i obviously completely made up this number in my head
I NEVER want your videos to end!
all of the above. rumor has it they were getting ''in trouble'' for going too hard (which, i mean are you kidding me, it's the military, the point is to go hard) so they've changed some things since i've been there
love your stories! super interesting!
kinda nervous about boot camp, but i think i'm up for the challenge thanks for the heads-up!
anangelsstar I got a 78 on my ASVAB and I knew before I even took the ASVAB that I wanted to go for EOD. A 50 is the minimum required so it really isn't as hard as you think it is. wow bootcamp is no joke! you are so strong and driven love it!! and please take a few days off cuz that cough sounds no bueno lol get better soon!
Oh okay, well is there anyway possible to get some stuff from them like I am shipping out january so, i have a box of what I'd like my family to bring for me when they come to graduation, could they bring that box for me and I take it to A-school personally (it'll mostly contain civilian clothes and just electronics). I really hope that isn't the girl's REAL Social!!! HELL!! hahaha thank you for the video
Thanks so much I have been living off your videos I'll be going to meps next week!!
thanks! your vids and "Navy Girl Ambition"'s videos have been reallu helpful, shipping in 14daysss
Word of warning: Chief Petty Officers wear khakis. DO NOT call them peanut butters.
she's has long left the navy and now has a baby, this video is from 2012 haha
I want to hear the remainder of your description of navy boot camp...when will you post it?
Can you get your personal belongings when your family members come to graduation? How much can you take to A school?
I guess 8-counts aren't a thing anymore... all we did was 10-counts
I leave for basic in 30 days! I'm very excited and nervous!
Amazing videos. How is the swimming part in boot camp. Is it hard do you do it everyday?
Great lakes is nothing like how it was when I went thru it in 1988 . Wow just hearing you describe it I wish it was like that when I went thru it ?
Talk about culture shock! Did you ever feel homesick or regret making the decision to join the Navy?
I'm doing EOD and leaving in 3 weeks. Thank you so much for all of your help!
Matt Vamos good luck to you!!
How high did you have to score on the asvab to get eod?
+Matt Vamos How did training go? I'm interested myself
Nice to see the Navy is getting smarter better looking women.
yur A-school was in pensacola, fl right? all the barracks are all the same lol
When I was in Iraq I didn't change clothes, do laundry, or shower...
I ♥ how salty your language is!! Glad you are feeling better, thanks for the vids! Do you need anything?
word! you got great vids btw. do you think you can just kinda go over what they say in the moment of truth... just cuz im getting horror storied about P-Days especially moment of truth.
the thing i remember most about boot camp, even 6 years later, was the constant smell of purell...
you remember gettung ITEED and having to say 12345678 8 counts begin!!
Wow, I was so into listening it didn't even seem like 7 minutes!
Pledged int 3 weeks ago, leaving for basic in 5 months as an AE/CF! IM STOKED!
Emily Murfin looking forward to serving with you!
Literally watched all of your vids for preparation! Thanks for posting these! They have been TONS of help!
+Emily Murfin how was it?
I didn't know the navy allowed angels to serve. Wow you're beautiful.
IT def stands for intensive training lol..not individual training. Hooyah 175/176!!!
you crack me up. Really good story though :P
I'm so scared like I don't know what I want to do when I'm older. I have two older brothers and one is in the Navy and the other went to college. What should I do? What is normal PT like? Also, how SAMT? I've always wanted to go into Masters at Arms.
Question, should 9 be said as "Nine" or "Niner?" (Niner is sometimes used in aviation and radio communication to avoid confusion with the number 5.)
TheSonicGod i've never heard niner.. i mean, i know niner, it's appropriate- but no one used it.. nor do i hear anyone use it still :)
"Niner" is radio speak, because Nine and Five can sound alike over static. At least that's what my grandfather told me. He's retired Air Force.
i didn't cry at all, one girl cried... but she schemed her way into getting separated and she left.
Why did u choose the navy? I don't know whether to join the army or navy. I also want to travel.
what makes you get I.T-ed? not doing well or they just I.T you random times whenever they feel like it?
Did you wear the shorts when you had to swim?
Went to talk to a recruiter today. Have some stuff to work on with ASVAB and might have to wait a year to apply because of meds... hopefully everything goes right , any advice?
Brittany Nunez @Study stay positive and always ask for feed back s you'll be fine
if i have a personal hygienic concern that i don't want everyone else to know about, who do i approach about that in basic?
Hi, I have been thinking about joining the Navy since I was a little girl. I know I still have 3 years until I graduate but I have been watching a bunch of videos about the boot camp and stuff like that. What exercises does everyone have to do? Just so that I am prepared for what is coming, if I do join! I do hope that I will get into Annapolis to pursuit by dream but if not I would defiantly join the Navy after high school!
Leaving for RTC in 4.5 months hooyah navy!
so in joining the navy, what was the hardest thing for you to adjust too?
Sorry if this sounds strange but how was your life before joining the navy and how is it now that you're in the navy? Has it changed for better or worse? I ask because I'm trying to enlist and get a career and do something worthwhile with my life.

Do you have to cut your hair for boot camp?
love it... sounds good! they really are not gonna find shit out about you right? thats what my recruiter said... dont say shit...
you remember gettung ITEED and having to say 12345678
Yo @PlasmaSpeedos what's your rate?
did you cry a lot? did you see anyone cry what happened to them? i'm nervous i'm going to cry!
of course
hehe it might sound silly but do they give you bras n undies or do u bring them?
I'm a junior in high school. Should I start working out more now or when do you think is the best time to start working out again?
Work out sure be fit, in boot camp your hardest thing to deal with is mental culture shock. Learn to liston to every word spoken and process each word. If you can do that you will be more then fine.
Where did you get stationed?
I'm leaving for bootcamp in 22 days and I'm nervous because of pt, how hard is it exactly, let just say I'm not in the best shape possible lol
Interesting yet intimidating... but keeps my attention nonetheless! lol
What are the biggest medical concerns people usually have? And can they get waivers?
idk what they were, i didn't have any. and they do get waivers, people do get waivers for lots of things :)
you're too cute bro...make my day everytime

I'm going to be joining the Navy after high school. I have no idea how to join or find a recruiter. Any tips?
Late comment, but just find the closest recruiting office to you and go in there.
Online look up a local recruiter, heck you can call them. They should make an effort to come out and talk to you and your family if you so desire. 2. Know or at least have a decent idea of what you would like to do. Ps. Military service is hurry up and wait, nothing like video games or movies ide note.
I leave for RTC the 15th of January a little nervous
I was a lot nervous! It was the best experience ever I know you’ll do great!
@@PlasmaSpeedos Thank you so much! My mom says the same thing she was in when I was born.
do you run alot in boot camp
what division were you?
Whats the average age joining the Navy? How old were you, I know its a weird question :)
lol the ending was sooo funny
Plasma girl did boot camp give you pneumonia ? Thinking of Usoniang your cute little videos to convince my 18 year old daughter she needs to join up . But shoot I don't want her to end up in the sick bay !
sit your ass down and don't say shit, sit on your hands. ignore all the threats, just stfu lol
Do females have to do male push ups in physical training?
+Kaitlyn Merli yes but not as many. google ''female prt standards'' and look it up by your age to see how many you need to do :)
Time goes so fast.
hello ive missed your videos
we did, yes
so was that your actual ssn? i would be careful doing that. also you remind me of Emily Browining
i think u can mention to them and they might take you aside, but i don't know for sure.. i think u just pee!

Do Not disclose someone's SSN!!!!
