I would like to say something thing about the Professor and his team at Tolarian Community College. My order went wrong because of something I did and due to moving and address changes. However, his team and him made sure I still got my academic. And I'm forever grateful for them helping me out when it was my own fault and they really didn't have to. I am very new to Magic. The Prof has been my sherpa along this learning journey. I have to say, nobody has quite earned my trust and made me value their input on a subject more than him. With the absolute money pit this hobby can be, the Professor is truly doing the Lord's work, and I just want to say.. Thank you Prof. I just bought the teal/pink box.
The Academic has been my go-to case for limited events. I store my land base and sleeves up top, the deck itself in the first drawer, sideboard and tokens in the bottom drawer, and life tracker and dice above the drawers. It's literally perfect!
Been using my Academic at FNM every week since I got it. Carries everything I need for the night: sleeves, pre-sleeved basics, dice, tokens, and a Commander/Canadian Highlander deck for after the draft. Fantastic deck box. For anyone looking for something to carry it that isn't too bulky, I recommend shopping for camera bags. They are padded, smaller dimensions, minimal bulk, and the straps meant to hold a tri-pod work great for holding a playmat tube.
I’ve never played Magic, and might never, but I was blown away by this deck box. I ended up getting some for my Yu-Gi-Oh decks during the kickstarter campaign. Great job and congratulations!
Same. This thing is of _immaculate_ quality, and I smile whenever I head out to game stores or tournaments and see others with theirs holding their own decks. Going to gift one to a friend sooner than later, methinks.

I love mine for pre-releases! I put my main deck and extra sleeves in the main compartment, my dice in the top tray, on-color sideboard in the middle tray, and off-color sideboard in the bottom tray. It’s works great!
Im so happy im going to be able to get an Academic at my LGS. Money was tight during the KS but now i can both support TCC and my FLGS. The love the black with purple interior and glad thats gonna be available
He thought of everything. There are tons of design choices. Little touches that make this the best deckbbox I've seen. I definitely will be getting one.
This looks amazing for carrying and organizing everything for draft and sealed events. Plenty of room for sleeves, lands, tokens, dice, and whatever cards you get.
Congratulations, Professor! I bought 3 Academics and 2 of the gorgeous gemstone D20s during your Kickstarter. They've rendered all my other decks boxes completely obsolete. Nothing works better for weekly Commander nights, prereleases, and draft events. Tokens, dice, lands, dry erase cards, & a marker all travel together now in a single, beautiful package. Bringing these to market and selling through local game stores is a win for everyone. I hope you sell a bazillion more.
I work at an LGS in Largo Florida that just recently opened up and I convinced the owner to sell The Academic and it’s been our #1 selling deck box ever!!! We can’t seem to keep them in stock at all. If we were able to get more from GameGenic we’d be able to sell them massively down here. We all want them!
Thank god. Someone broke into my work apartment where i and a coworker were storing all our cards, and we got cleared out, including our colective 4 academics. Time to get some new ones
@shmerelize thanks. It really is demoralizing. We ended up finding the guy who did it, but it looks like he destroyed a lot of the property so that he wouldn't be caught with so much of it. This was also months ago, and the guy got locked up in prison in the meantime, so trying him for our case has been put on the back burner. It all kind of sucks
I love Gamegenic! I asked for my second one for Christmas with a custom Phyrexian Atlas mat and got both! I just got back into Magic within the last year, so I’m excited to see I can buy it!

Got my academic XL today. Im so happy that I finally have something to show that Im one of the TCC Community ^_^ its a great Box and now holds 2 of my Atraxa Commander Decks ^_^ much love and thanks Prof!
There is one thing that comes to every game of Magic I play now, and it’s my Academic deck box. I keep my favorite commander deck in the main compartment, dice and the TCC life counter in the top compartment, infinitokens and a marker in the top removable compartment, and the rest of my tokens in the bottom removable compartment. This box is a constant companion sitting next to me at the gaming table.
I bought the grey-red academic 133xl from the kick starter and was not disappointed. I treasure the deck box and the incredible craftsmanship that went into it. My Henzie deck has never been as safe as it is now thanks to the Academic! Thanks prof!

it’s awesome that more people will be able to get this deck box for themselves. i actually wasn’t able to support the kickstarter myself but my uncle did and gave it to me last Christmas and i’ve been in love with it ever since. i especially love that it has space for cards in top loaders so i don’t have to put my more valuable commanders i top loaded in my bag 😂

Just got into commander and back into mtg since 2013. This was my first deck box. The watchtower XL for my deck. I love it. Great quality and price! I use to watch tcc when he first started. Seeing his brand seal on this product, I didn’t have to think twice about my purchase.
Glad they came out to retail, as I was going through some financial hardship when the Kickstarter went on. Now I just hope they don't sell out before I can get in to my LGS tomorrow.
I am sad that there is no Black/Red version of 266 version. ( or even 133), but perhaps the stealth version scratches my itch. Awesome to see Prof having time of his life, for a product he made with love.

I got the smaller academic and I am exceptionally happy with it. It’s a great quality product. For anyone looking in the comments who is on the fence about getting these deck boxes, it’s my honest opinion that they are well worth the price tag. For context, my favorite deck of all time is my old border tribal Osgir, the Reconstructor. It triple sleeved due to the older and rarer cards in the 99. And the Academic 133XL comfortably holds this deck along with the tokens, dice, and commander (which he is in 5 sleeves and still fits)! It is an excellent product for that very special deck that each of us has in our portfolio of EDH decks. Thank you very much, sir!
I’ll be picking up a 266XL to go with my 133XL now! I love Gamegenic, ever since I bought their Stronghold XL a few years back. Still very pleased with you choosing them as your partners for the Academic.
As someone who has a passion for functional design, this thing is BRILLIANT! Those grooves on the inside bottom openings to be able to grab under the cards themselves is bigger than people might realize. I actually missed the Kickstarter, but managed to snag a slightly used one on the secondary market. I'm gonna need at least one more.

I picked up my Academic today to use as my draft kit, and it has literally everything I need! It can hold my pre-sleeved lands (because why have fun full art lands if I never get to show them off?), my limited deck, all of my dice and tokens, and even my sideboard in one of the drawers! Thank you so much for making it, and I can’t wait to use it at FNM for years to come. It performed beautifully tonight, and I love how I can put my lands into the boulder I was using before and throw in my commander deck’s boulder if I’m going to play EDH. In short, it’s the perfect grab and go box, and I adore it with all my heart
I triple sleeve a lot of my commander decks in kmc hard and kmc Matt and clear, and nothing fits a single deck quite like the Academic. I only have the 1 currently (got the Teal and pink on launch!) And it holds my absolute favorite deck, Gishath, with Godzilla sleeves from broccoli! Top compartment is Gishath and Kaheera in Ultra Pro screwdown (single) middle compartment is die and life counter, bottom is tokens. This deck box is perfect, all my other triple sleeve decks have to either share a deck box or get divided. I'm so happy that everyone can now get this amazing deck box! Way to go professor! You have made my last Deck Box!
I kickstarted with a pink/teal Academic and the double wide one. I use the pink/teal for a Limited battle box. Sleeved lands in once drawer, and extra sleeves in the 2nd. Top shelf gets dice. And the main area is for the tokens for the set or for me to store the deck between rounds! I use the double wide for my favorite 2 decks: Zimone and Dina lands and a WB Modular party deck. Drawers are filled with party members to swap out between games! I love these deck boxes and debating on getting another one soon! Thanks for taking these to stores.
I love mine, it's perfect for holding my 50+10 double sleeved Battle Spirits Saga deck and I have a smaller JP BS deck in the small compartments and the dice tray is nice for holding my cores and dice. It works really well with the sizemorph dividers (I use 2)
Got mine today at my LGS (black and purple). It’s an awesome case. Just getting back into MTG after a not playing since ‘96. This case is light years ahead of what we had back then.
I am glad to have been a backer for the early release of this wonderful deck box. I use it at least once a week to ferry my commander deck to our games and I wish for nothing else. I will likely go and pick up another one at my local card shop! Thanks again prof. You have done something better at a lower price than anyone would have asked. I use my académic as a draft box. Its perfect it can old the lands the tokens the dice, the sleeves and the cards i did not put in the draft deck.

I can’t express how happy I am that this is available for retail! I was devastated when I couldn’t pledge on the kickstarter and now it’s available in game stores and even card kingdom!
I have the black and purple for my Magic prerelease and my teal and pink for Lorcana decks. Every time im at Lorcana events i get asked about it and now I'm stoked I can tell them they are able to buy them as well! Amazing job Professor!
it’s awesome that more people will be able to get this deck box for themselves. i actually wasn’t able to support the kickstarter myself but my uncle did and gave it to me last Christmas and i’ve been in love with it ever since. i especially love that it has space for cards in top loaders so i don’t have to put my more valuable commanders i top loaded in my bag 😂
started watching prof since 2013 when i got into magic. so proud of him growing into the hero magic has always needed AND deserved.

Just got into commander and back into mtg since 2013. This was my first deck box. The watchtower XL for my deck. I love it. Great quality and price! I use to watch tcc when he first started. Seeing his brand seal on this product, I didn’t have to think twice about my purchase.
Glad they came out to retail, as I was going through some financial hardship when the Kickstarter went on. Now I just hope they don't sell out before I can get in to my LGS tomorrow.
I am sad that there is no Black/Red version of 266 version. ( or even 133), but perhaps the stealth version scratches my itch. Awesome to see Prof having time of his life, for a product he made with love.
I was a backer on kickstarter the day it launched. I have the box, mat, tokens, all of it. It is a great box. High quality. I will be buying a green and black for sure.
I barely play magic anymore so I felt like I couldn't justify buying into the kickstarter (plus I was unemployed at the time)

I picked one up from my LGS and am super happy with it. I missed the Kickstarter so I was excited that I could buy it.
I bought one and have been showing it off to my friends. It's so wonderfully amazing and I didn't even know about the tokens that came with it. I will always recommend this to others and may purchase another one.

I've loved mine ever since I got it with the Kickstarter!! My perfect companion for commander nights! Ive got my dice, my multitude of tokens, my favorite commander deck all in one spot!! Super nice to have on the table and most importantly still looks brand new!!

I got the smaller academic and I am exceptionally happy with it. It’s a great quality product. For anyone looking in the comments who is on the fence about getting these deck boxes, it’s my honest opinion that they are well worth the price tag. I bought 4 during the kickstarter and have never ever once regretted it! Best deck boxes I've ever bought and the colors were stunning!!!
For context, my favorite deck of all time is my old border tribal Osgir, the Reconstructor. It triple sleeved due to the older and rarer cards in the 99. And the Academic 133XL comfortably holds this deck along with the tokens, dice, and commander (which he is in 5 sleeves and still fits)!
It is an excellent product for that very special deck that each of us has in our portfolio of EDH decks.

As someone who has a passion for functional design, this thing is BRILLIANT! Those grooves on the inside bottom openings to be able to grab under the cards themselves is bigger than people might realize. I actually missed the Kickstarter, but managed to snag a slightly used one on the secondary market. I'm gonna need at least one more.
man Prof youre really the best. when the kickstarter was out i couldnt work due to an injury so i couldnt put in on it and i regretted it a lot, but now that im movin again im able ro get one at my LGS, just put the order in rn to pickup later. king!
I picked up my Academic today to use as my draft kit, and it has literally everything I need! It can hold my pre-sleeved lands (because why have fun full art lands if I never get to show them off?), my limited deck, all of my dice and tokens, and even my sideboard in one of the drawers! Thank you so much for making it, and I can’t wait to use it at FNM for years to come. It performed beautifully tonight, and I love how I can put my lands into the boulder I was using before and throw in my commander deck’s boulder if I’m going to play EDH. In short, it’s the perfect grab and go box, and I adore it with all my heart

I triple sleeve a lot of my commander decks in kmc hard and kmc Matt and clear, and nothing fits a single deck quite like the Academic. I only have the 1 currently (got the Teal and pink on launch!) And it holds my absolute favorite deck, Gishath, with Godzilla sleeves from broccoli! Top compartment is Gishath and Kaheera in Ultra Pro screwdown (single) middle compartment is die and life counter, bottom is tokens.
This deck box is perfect, all my other triple sleeve decks have to either share a deck box or get divided. I'm so happy that everyone can now get this amazing deck box! Way to go professor! You have made my last Deck Box!
I kickstarted with a pink/teal Academic and the double wide one. I use the pink/teal for a Limited battle box. Sleeved lands in once drawer, and extra sleeves in the 2nd. Top shelf gets dice. And the main area is for the tokens for the set or for me to store the deck between rounds!
I use the double wide for my favorite 2 decks: Zimone and Dina lands and a WB Modular party deck. Drawers are filled with party members to swap out between games!
I love these deck boxes and debating on getting another one soon! Thanks for taking these to stores.

I love mine, it's perfect for holding my 50+10 double sleeved Battle Spirits Saga deck and I have a smaller JP BS deck in the small compartments and the dice tray is nice for holding my cores and dice. It works really well with the sizemorph dividers (I use 2)
Got mine today at my LGS (black and purple). It’s an awesome case. Just getting back into MTG after a not playing since ‘96. This case is light years ahead of what we had back then.
I am glad to have been a backer for the early release of this wonderful deck box. I use it at least once a week to ferry my commander deck to our games and I wish for nothing else. I will likely go and pick up another one at my local card shop! Thanks again prof. You have done something better at a lower price than anyone would have asked.
