    It was just another typical windy day in the driftless of Wisconsin for some fishing and I decided to fish the Mizuchi with a big woolly bugger in a streath of stream full of log jams! Can I even fish with a woolly bugger? Is it still tenkara fishing? It doesn't matter either way because its effective! Enjoy!

    Nice video. I recently bought the mizuchi as my first tenkara rod. Haven't used it yet. Nice to see you can catch some decent size fish with it. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to the next one.

    That brown at 4:45 looked like he could have been pushing 20+”. The one that followed wasn’t bad either. Black woolly buggers are the boss for big browns in the Driftless winter; I’ve shifted lately to a black jig leech pattern - just as effective and doesn’t get hung up as much. Nice browns and nice work Jared!

    At 6:20 you pulled that nice one out of the wood barely sliding it over that log. It looked like you were casting downstream and letting the bugger drift into the wood. Is that true or did it just look that way? That would be encouraging to know that you can actually catch trout when you're out in front of them and not spook them. I've never been trout fishing but am chomping at the bit to get started.

    Nice work! What line are you using? It looks super visible for bite detection!

    I never had any luck fishing woolybugger. Is it the tenkara rod that makes the difference.

      @tenkaragenki  День назад

      @@kenpendergrass6400 I just started using them this year for trout. They seem to be very effective! A tenkara rod is probably a lil bit harder to use bc you only have so much space side to side and you can strip it. With a normal fly rod you can cast out and strip set in a straight line. If that makes sense. Hope that helped! Thanks for the comment!
