I like creating maps too. Sadly they don't let you customize civs for random maps. You need to create a custom map and change the civ via triggers. 🤷🏼♂️

Low ELO put half of their economy on stone, so they can build one tower after another. It's a bit more tricky to defend from this (while also being at low ELO), because the towers quickly take away resources and farm space.
@@spongebabe27from my experience the tower rushing power changes over elo. below 900 elo its really powerful, because players panic and dont know how to counter it. at around 1.2k it starts to drop off because the rusher doesnt do enough damage and the rushee just has a better eco and outbooms them. at 1.5-1.6k elo it starts to pick up again because the rushers strategy is alot more refined
I wonder if Hera uses the right click of the mouse to move the map sometimes? I have not looked into the configuration for right click so I’m unsure and i suspect sometimes he seem to move the screen in a very efficient way ( other than control group and TOWN CENTER hotkey ) that might be the right click function?
That would be indeed a very cool video! How he has the hotkeys setup / mouse setup and other game settings and also which mods he uses ( doesn’t seem to use many! )
11:35 - even has the Magyars in Feudal I have had to fight Japanese Men at Arms & they can usually shred even with no upgrades. The 3 to 2 second reload rate/auto-attack time is what makes all of of those potential scouts even less worth it, even with free +1.
You either build up your own castle and push them back in imp with trebs. or you go full castle and ram rush the castle down/seek to raid the enemy But tbh its struggle city
Horrible situation to be in. I recommend fielding army as soon as you get outside of your walls to prevent a castle drop. But they usually bring military along with Vils. Though situation I have lost many games to a castle drop on arena
Thankfully most of the time I get tower rushed they don't follow up well so I'm able to batter them down quickly. I definitely struggle when they seem more practiced with it!
Lost to a tower rush and castle rush my enemy had 18 vils after dropping castle( i killed 9 of them while he build) and his army and then i got 4 rams and my army yo destroy his castle but it wasnt enough. I saw replay and i couls literally all in his base with my army. I had 39.vils when he had 18. Lesson learned i guess.
knights will survive a trade (or avoid completely with higher movespeed) against roughly equal numbers of pikes (not resource efficient, but unit efficent). after the fight you still have knights and have map control and your opponent has to make more pikes, which gives you a window to do whatever you want. pikes are also not very good at breaking into your base unless they have siege so if youre walled up at home youre completely safe.
I'm a 1000 elo scrub but the one thing I can counter well is castle and tower drops, because at my elo that castle/tower is usually their entire plan. They are hoping you're just going to resign the moment it goes up. If you just move your affected vills to res at the other side of your base, then walk to their base with a forward seige workshop you can literally just kill them, the amount of times I've had it done to me where they don't make a single military unit beyond their starting scout is crazy

Thanks for these! I used to just give up after a forward tower or castle and now I stay calm and try to fight back and these have been very helpful.

I just won a game where I was between 2 enemies and they both castle dropped. We won tho !!! It was an insane game

Not really a rage quit. His opponent was 1500 score behind. Now that he knows he can't click up can't defend against trebs, it's time to fully quit.

Knights are mobile and can avoid most bad fights against pikes

There's only 7 players in HC because its lost some attention. Small mini maps are going to replace HC next year.
