@@fridaynightfunkinfan5627maybe a deal for third party music from franchises linked more with Nintendo than PlayStation or Xbox? Sonic, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy’s 1-6, Mega Man, Bayonetta, Castlevania, etc.
1:55, bro saaaaaaame, video game music has gotta be 99% of what ive listened to in the past like decade lol…when ppl ask me what music i like i say “good music” or “nothing really” so i dont have to specify 😅
I've seen a few content creators say that they're excited about the extended songs feature, because they could then use it in their videos, however there is a problem. Nintendo did their homework, and made the app not play anything if you are doing a screen recording, and the app barely works in an emulator (it only plays the music for 2 seconds). Because of this, you'll have to record the music through a microphone. Plus, since you have to record it, you'd have to sit there recording it for however long you want it to last. It's just not practical for content creators to use nintendo music, it's much much easier to find extended versions of music on youtube.
I can now listen to Wii Sports music while on the elliptical without having to use RUclips. Thanks Nintendo! P.s I too use Smash music in the gym or while bike riding.
I hope they don’t forget upload their music from current and delisted mobile games too. The OST’s for FEH and especially Dragalia Lost deserve more recognition.
What’s odd is it’s not every track from the games currently on there. I was looking for Big Betrayal by Deep Cut (Splatoon 3) and it wasn’t there. Same for some SMG tracks I was looking for.
I feel like for me who uses an iPhone, that's the only way to make music use the most convenient for you to not rely on internet while using your music phone and have the most user specific curated list to your liking for free more or less.
Since I'm an android user, I stick all my soundtracks in the music folder, and then I can use either one of my open source audio players to listen to it.
Gimme the Double Dash soundtrack and some of the Mario Parties music and i’m chilling 🤷🏻♂️ also I’ll probably rarely use this app compared to RUclips if i’m being real 😂
No need to subscribe. There’s been Nintendo music on Apple Music and Spotify and RUclips for a while now. I’ve had a Nintendo/game music playlist on Apple Music and Spotify for years now
Did not expect Nintendo to acknowledge Nintendogs in 2024… very strange omissions at launch though, like they released the Mario 64 and Sunshine OSTs four years ago and they’re not already here?? Fully agree with this video, I’m cautiously optimistic and I wish there was a website as well
Having used the app since last night, I have to say, I love it, but there are some things that I'd like to see improved upon. 1.) Perhaps the most important pressing issue with the app, they don't credit the original composers or arrangement artists. This feels insane, because these are the people who made Nintendo's music worth listening to on their own. They least Nintendo can do is give credit where credit is due... but why stop there? Why not have playlists dedicated to certain composers? Or search music based on what the composer has done? It feels like a no-brainer, so why isn't this already a thing? 2.) This is going to be a temporary issue since they already confirmed more soundtracks will be added, but still, starting things off with only 20 games is rather weak. Granted, they're good soundtracks, but I feel like people are going to get bored of these quickly if they don't add more sooner rather than later. I'm hoping they'll add more on a weekly basis, because if they add them at the same rate as adding games to the NES/SNES/Game Boy/etc. libraries for NSO, this app isn't going to last. 3.) There IS a potential issue of not including certain tracks that might happen, or at least, variations of tracks. I haven't noticed this yet, but given how may variations there are to certain tracks in certain games, it's possible to not find the one you're looking for. Also, minor thing, but I listed to Groovy Long Legs from Pikmin 4, and not only does it not sound exactly like it does in-game, it also doesn't sound like most rips I've heard of it. It's rather odd, but it's still a cool track. 4.) This is a nitpick, but I noticed that some tracks can't be extended. Feels rather arbitrary in some cases, really wish they'd give the option to extend all available tracks. And to close out my comment, here are my top 10 Nintendo soundtracks I want to see on Nintendo Music: 1.) Wario Land 4 2.) Rhythm Tengoku (for GBA) 3.) Rhythm Heaven (for Nintendo DS) 4.) Rhythm Heaven Fever 5.) Rhythm Heaven Megamix 6.) EarthBound 7.) EarthBound Beginnings/MOTHER 8.) Paper Mario 9.) Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (both the original AND remake versions) 10.) Kid Icarus Uprising
A custom looping for all the tracks, even the ones that were never looped in-game, would genuinely be a good idea actually. Most of Rhythm Heaven's music are one of these examples.
@@PhanTum926 Yeah exactly. I suppose the thought process is "well, you can just put it on repeat for those", but even then, I've encountered a number of tracks that have pretty clear loop points that aren't loopable for some reason (the Deku Tree's theme comes to mind, mostly because I recently listened to it).
They nuked my favourite music channel for this! It was called "Vivi's Radio Backup Channel ~ Rare VGM", and I would listen to a ton of Wario music on it. Meanwhile, Nintendo's shitty app doesn't even HAVE any Wario music! Why do they have to go full scorched earth and take down songs that aren't even on the app?
That was a GREAT channel. It helped me find so many songs that not many people have posted on RUclips. Kind of sucks that most songs are harder to find a mirror for, at least in high quality. The day I found out the channel deletion was the day that Nintendo Music was announced, so this has to be no coincidence lol.
I glad Nintendo finally doing something with their music because i can listen to their everyday i hope add more fire emblem xenoblade chronicles and otjer series but why we need the membership to play it that my only complaint but i definitely gonna enjoy this
As someone who shouldn't have the aux passed to them at any gathering, I do appreciate this thing Nintendo's doing. Though I will say, even though I have the NSO subscription, the choice between downloading Nintendo's decent but at the moment still not super plentiful Spotify and hitting up any random song I want on RUclips leans heavily in RUclips's favor, especially since I have premium and won't need to watch like 2 whole adds before the song comes on. That being said, this is a long awaited step in the right direction and I don't entirely mind them justifying the NSO purchase even more. Still hope they get as many soundtracks in there as they can ASAP. Also wonder if they'll be cracking down harder on channels that showcase their music since we technically can't just throw up the "Nintendo, give us a place to officially listen to your music" sign anymore.
2:14 I'm glad someone else has mentioned sitting on clouds. I'm seeing a lot of potential on this site currently. All tracks I've seen have been properly tagged & ripped, and new released soundtracks are uploaded without the 6-month waiting rule.
I wish the beginning library was bigger like so much is missing, none of the 2d mario games aside from SMB (which has like next to zero tracks) now wonder or new soup games is insane
What they should do next is make official music artist youtube channels, Square Enix did and they were just as bad as Nintendo with copyright striking. This is a good first step though.
was so excited when you said nintendo spotify and then got really sad when i looked it up and found out it’s their own app, not them posting on spotify
I listen to music from various media, such as mainstream music, video games, movie soundtracks, indie music, and show soundtracks. Maybe they did this, too, so people can listen to high-quality and uncompressed Nintendo soundtracks.
You know the haters will still go “oh they locked it behind a subscription service booh hoo wo is me.” Like if you can’t afford what 20$ a year I have questions on why you are in gaming. What do you want? Nintendo to release everything for free? They have the right to make money off their products and while this may hurt to hear they also have the right to not sell a product.
its for longevity duh plus it acts as marketing for future games like oh the next zelda game here are 3 new zelda osts or whatever also they have added dkc 2 and mario wonder since release
Oh great, now my playlist is going to be shattered.
2:08 "I run... *_I put on Sonic music."_*
As is the normal behavior.
I don’t think that would even be on this *Nintendo* Music app.

Kinda expected this, and somehow it’s not surprising Nintendo made safety measures for anyone recording or capturing their music app.

Don’t know if it was a factor that it’s DLC music
@ I don’t think so since the S/V OST on the app includes the Kitakami and Blueberry Academy music. It’s strange.

YES. Finally someone who imports music to Apple Music! It’s crazy to me that barely anyone actually do this.
