The projector room is easily the best part. It's like you've stepped back in time to the, what, '60s, '70s?

Great video lads and some amazing shots of what was obviously an amazing building in its day with some great architecture. Loved seeing the old projection room and its a pity its been turned into a plant room for the ventilation system. Also great to hear that its back in use serving the local community.

    Wonderful show, thank you.
Yet again, your respect for your environment and your love of your work documenting these places shines through.
For some reason, I found this one to be very emotional - even looking up the latest Google Maps images of the outside.
I wish their endeavours there well.

You want to have a go at the abandoned odeon cinema a bit further up the road from there. I lived in Hartlepool for a while & it is good inside

Really good, as ever. I always like to see what's on the stage behind the curtains.

Well at least it's not demolished yet (?) I hope there is a bit of money to restore some of the Cinema stylings - anyone local seen what is being done? Another fascinating weekly explore team Urbandoned! 👍🎥😎

This is a wonderful old cinema with a fantastically tasteful architectural style and interior design that radiates a lot of warmth. In contrast to this are today's architectural styles and furnishings: cold, tasteless and uniform. Merci bien ;))

15:16 Poor little radiator standing all alone.😥

Radiators are naturally solitary creatures in the wild, it's only modern Western culture that's portrayed them as pack animals; don't belive all the media's agenda.
The radiator is in its naturally element and primal state 🙏

Wetherspoons need to save this building before it either falls to vandalism and decay or developers. That has enough people living near it to become a major nice pub like they've done with so many other old cinemas.

You could do a sleepover and a ghost hunt there!

Fascinating. You say the power was on but were all the lights on too, or did you switch them on? Also the grills beside the screen are probably huge speaker enclosures.
