Lol. I hate to admit this but I was at Defense Language Institute for a whole year but using TTMIK as a refresher after not even hearing korean for almost 16 years, I have learned far more than I did the first time around, in just a few months. Of course, when I was at DLI I was young and cute, and with all those handsome Marines around, my mind certainly wasn't 100% on Korean. I'm taking it more seriously now. I love this language, and I love Korea.

I just came from the level 1 listening test. The 1st one was easy. The voice actors were very articulate and spoke slowly. With this 2nd level, it was a bit more challenging. The voice actors spoke more comfortably or casually, which for me was harder. But, I was still able to understand everything! I have not yet reached ttmik's 2nd level in study, but I guess watching kdrama works!!!!!
Thanks for this listening test. It's a great way to gauge your own Korean proficiency. More power to you!

This is unbelievable. I've been listening to your podcast from lv1 since a month or so and just finished lv2. It's kind of hard to gauge how much I learn even though my 여자친구 keeps saying shes surprised by my progress. But I just listened to this video got pretty much the general idea of what was being said. This just felt like I was climbing a ladder real slow and suddenly looked back to realize I'm on top of a building. You guys are really amazing.
