Cold War T-72 Tank Walkaround

Up close with one of the two T-72 tanks in the running fleet at The Tank Museum in Bovington, UK. The first versions of the T-72 began production in the Soviet Union in 1969 and many variants followed. It is estimated that over 25,000 have been built and the T-72 has seen service in the armies of around 40 countries. Recently the T-72 has been on our TV screens being used in the war in Ukraine. The Tank Museum regularly takes its two T-72s to the British Army training area on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire so troops can become familiar with identifying and operating against the tanks in the field.
