Thanks for doing a review on Epon. I currently game the AF303 with SteelFiber i95 and totally agree the tolerances on these are unreal. Weight, loft and lie came out exactly the to decimal point of the spec sheet.
My mate bought the 705 about a year and a half ago from Jamie down at forge golf who you know. His handicap went from 13 too 8 in 1 year based on just what you were saying there. Every strike that came off the club was the same. He loves them. These look nice though. Another nice video for the guys to see these top end products. Cheers

Just in the process of trading my AF 705 to move into the 305, they feel very good. Will be playing them with a Mitsubishi C6 which is a really nice balance for me.

Good review guys, always nice to see JDM clubs on the channel. I play 20 year old Yonex ADX Tour irons and they have the exact same features. A CB with a thin topline and a medium width sole (loft is more traditional 6i at 31 deg). Absolutely love the feel, buttery smooth. Yonex's LTB600 graphite shaft has been a mystery. I cant find spec on this shaft. Its early gen graphite shaft at 20years old. The evoulution of graphite shafts would make a great subject for a video or two, hint hint.
Oh yes EPON are fantastic but the price! If you have the chance, please review Honma TW series. They are more affordable and they look real nice. Great video guys.

There’s so many other brands being mentioned in the comment section and I’m now confused as to who actually makes the best irons out there. Just hit these at Club Champion and they blew me away with the speed, distance, and launch/spin consistency. Was getting 1.44 SF on TM4 and carrying them 183 (6 iron), about 8 yards longer than my Miura CB1008’s, and with steeper land angle. Can’t believe I just dropped that much coin on a set of irons, but results were undeniable!
Ian, get them in your bag. I've gamed lots of JDM irons since 2012, and an endo forged iron has always felt the best to me. Great vid. By the way, what shoes are wearing?
Off topic guys. Can you recommend a packed club set for a beginner adult lady golfer. Wilson, Callaway over beginner sets. Tying to get the missus to golf with me and thought a full package set might be a good way to start and if she likes golfing and wants to take it up we can get a custom fit set next year. So many Japanese brands with quality looking clubs. Wish they were all readily available to try before I buy near me. Love The look of Miura stuff their new proto irons look awesome. Fujimoto irons look well nice also, grindworks and kyoei have great looking stuff too. Oh man I want them all
I'm intrigued...what if someone wanted a longer length club? What would you do to counteract the swingweight getting too high. This is d4.5 at standard length I'm assuming you are hitting

Epon not that popular just like other brand, but the quality and feel was very Good. I have Epon Iron, Driver and Wood 3 set. Until today i use the iron and wood set, haven't change my mind yet to use other brand. I only change the driver. Now currently i use CObra F9 for driver.

I have Miura now but eyeing Epon AF-305 as the next set. But, the problem is finding a decent price in the U.S.

Endo makes the finest forged irons in golf..... My 2015 OnOff Kuro irons are the ones that kicked Mizuno out of my bag after 20 years.
My Kuros are my gamers and my back ups are Epon AF-302..... Endo rocks

Ian, how do you come to your ideal spin numbers? Old rule was club number X 1000 but you said you'd like your 6 iron around 5100

what is the cost of that club as it is Ian? I am all about feel, I love my mizuno clubs soft feel. So these are something I would consider.

D1/D2 - normal for most men with swing speed of 75 -85mph with 6 iron
C7/C8 ladies swing weight
Are used Callaway X-Forge the best way to cheaply try an endo product?
Srixon are endo forged iirc. Cheapest way would be an old Titleist 690 or even an old epon.
cheapest would be some old precept irons probably. try the Tour premium CB

Ive been using Epon for about 15 years, nothing comes close.
Even a sniper couldn’t get grouping that good on the club face!
