I find its amazing to see how M.O.I. has become focus of the big brands as of late. M.O.I. has been Tour Edges' "edge" for as long as I can remember. Their design philosophy revolves around it. One of the best valued brands out there with very hot hybrids and woods.
Which TE irons are you playing? Which irons did you game before them? I have the C721 driver and I’m playing way better with it these passed 2-3 seasons than I did with my callaway rogue driver before. Tour edge always reviews so good for the woods, especially for the value, but I’m curious about the irons. What’s your thoughts?
Simply a terrific in depth review that gives the viewer a lot of info regarding TE's new drivers. I have played TE Exotics drivers, three woods and hybrids. All have performed well. Plus, the company customer service is outstanding. Adding on the military discount is icing on the cake. Thank you for the review. I will definitely be looking at the C725.
I have experience with Tour Edge and have been very happy with them. In 2020 I came back to the game after a 15+ year absence, so I bought a set of C522 irons just to get going and they were really good. I've since upgraded to PXG irons. Right now I have the TE C723 driver and I love it. My ball speed is 135 - 145 mph with driver and I hit it 260 - 275 yards regularly. The only unknown or questionable thing with TE so far for me is durability. My TE C721 driver face caved in after a year, so they sent me a brand new C723 head for free. The 7 iron in my C522 irons snapped, so they sent me a new one for free. They honor their lifetime warranty though.
The LIFETIME warrenty is worth its weight in gold...i have the C721 Driver, recently broke the shaft and tip through regular hitting...they sent me a brand new shaft, with tip adaptor fee in less than a week...amazing customer service...only woods Ill ever buy
Ian - love the deep dive into the adjustable weight, the constructive critique of 10k, and picking a legitimate bang for buck brand. There are cheaper golf clubs that don't perform, but TEE clubs are a legitimate pro line brand, at a decent price. Can't wait to see what your next adventure will be!
Just got my e725 driver on Thursday and played with it last night and today. I’ve been a fan of tour edge for a long time and can confirm this is their best yet by a long shot.
Great video, Ian. Price of equipment is getting crazy here in Australia. Great to see quality performance at this price point. Swing looking pure by the way 👌
Bravo Ian on the solo performance! And Bravo to Tour Edge for such a great product at an affordable price. The new part of the MOI conversation that Ian's been speaking on lately is the trade in ball speed and spin for the forgiveness. I'm tempted by the extra MOI, but I'd spin it for days.
Ian, I am very impressed with your comments and review of both drivers. The most important thing I discovered is your pointing out that the adjustability factors of both drivers 1 - actually work and 2 - provide an array of performance options for a wide range of delivery points. I am in the slower swing speed category 80 - 83 and would love a hotter face option (c725) but would I get the forgiveness though my flite is is relatively straight but low. I only have access to Golftown in a 4 hour round trip and really don't find them as useful as perhaps they had been when they first open. Would love your comments because the distance I once had is no longer in my swing.
Thanks Ian for that vid. Tour Edge is the name of the game right now. They remind me of Cobra when they started the trend of lower priced drivers that perform very well. Hopefully, some companies think more of 'normal' budgets in the ocean of BIG BUCKS golf industry.
I'm a senior golfer. I have a Tour Edge driver, older model. I went to Club Champion to get fit for a driver. After the fitting, we kept the Tour Edge head and ordered a new shaft. The downside to Tour Edge is that they offer limited shaft options. IMO, it's important to get fit. I'll go to Club Champion this fall/winter for some new options.
They looked tons better aesthetically than the last couple of years. Was excited to see the moveable weight options too. I even liked the options with the C725 weights by swapping them and having the weight track on the back also besides just front and back weight positions. Definitely seems like customizing options are there for a fit. Like the custom shaft angle to the test too. Definitely seem like heads at a minimum are solid and you could maybe find another level of output. Glad the performance is there without the “buts” and conditional “ifs”. Cheers!
I had a pro suggest these to me nearly 20 years ago. Voodoo long, at least the one he gave me. Longest driver session of my life. I won't share numbers because they'd seem like I was 'that guy' on the internet but suffice to say I can still go 300+ to this day and it was way longer then. Harder to control so I didn't get it but have kept my eye on TEE from then on. Might be time to give them another try.
I smoke my friends all the time with my TE clubs. I just laugh at them as they all have the latest and greatest. I buy their year or tow older stuff (to keep prices down) and upgrade often. Love tour edge.
Just purchased the E725. It’s 5 yards +/- shorter than my Epic Max but the dispersion is incredible. I fight a left miss, moving the movable weight to the fade position was perfect.
I have a TE 3 wood , came with a ventus shaft and it’s my best club in the bag . Goes nearly as far as my driver , and it’s dead straight great flight. Better than all the big brands.
Great video, Ian....the C725 is intriguing me big time !! is it good enough to displace my recently acquired Mizuno St-Max which is just a fairway finder with distance too. The TE C725 looks the real deal though and with bags of forgiveness as well.
Excellent review. I was custom fit this time last year for TSR3 and couldn't be happier. If i was needing a new driver the C would be for me. TE has great clubs at a much less expensive price point.
It's nice to see a driver at that price perform, even if you have to upgrade the shaft it's still cheap, great review, your going to have a lot of golfers question there equipment 👍
The 'big' brands have too many excuses for not keeping prices down but brands like TE and Wilson (along with some of the DTC brands) prove those excuses are just BS. I just hope they don't get greedy too, and think they can lift prices once they become more recognised for their competitive quality.
I have played Tour Edge for almost 25 years. They are the best! My favorite thing is I can upgrade easily over time as they are not so expensive. I prefer to play better courses and spend my money on good golf courses rather than overpriced clubs.
Love this, thanks Ian...I have ALL TEE in my top end of bag... -I think a comparison for golfers that are level or slightly down on the ball would be interesting...I know the new teaching is hit way up to lower spin and max distance...but a lot of us (me included hit down on it with speed) im sure it would be a cool comparison...thanks for your time and efforts
I'm a big fan of craftsmanship, attention to details, and I'm a contrarian. So I'm naturally into Tour Edge 😁 I've been gaming their Fairway woods and I'm about to grab either this driver or the 723. Forever grateful that they support us mutant lefties!
Excited to move to the c725 from the e723. Hit more fairways with the e723 than my TM Stealth, and squeezed a little extra distance from the stock setup by tinkering with the weight and finding the right shaft for my swing. Looking forward to picking it up from my local fitter in a week or so!
I have played a number of Exotics clubs (EXS 220 3 wood, hybrids and C721 irons) when building my bag on a budget. Fantastic value. Still playing the hybrid. Would definitely consider this C725 driver! Looks awesome
To this day the exs was the best 3 hybrid I’ve ever hit I bought the ping g430 when it came out because of all the great reviews but for me I regret getting rid of that hybrid it was perfect
I’m playing the c721, so I have the ridgeback titanium running down the middle of the carbon fiber on top. Once you get used to it being there, it doesn’t bother the eye at all. Feels almost like an alignment aid, and feels like even more stability across the face, to me anyway. It’s my first tour edge golf club, and I’m confident saying that I’ll always keep tour edge for my driver, and possibly even look at them for woods and hybrids. Value is way too good, and honestly, so is the performance. I’ve seen gains compared to my callaway. Might be the best purchase I’ve made in my golf career.
Don't know why no one is talking about the c725 hybrid. I have the 2 hybrid@16.5 ° and 3 hybrid @20°, they are magical. 220-240yds for the 2 and 200-220yds for the 3.
Ian, such a great review! I play the TE E722 driver and love it. I've found that I keep my face angle close to 0 with it. My swing speed is low (88-90 mph) and I struggle at times with spin (~3300 rpm) because my angle of attack is poor (~ -2.0). I've always considered that I need to play ultra forgiving drivers, but I'm intrigued by the C725. Due to the adjustability would love your thoughts on the C725 for a slow swing player.
love that they have a nice cleaner crown (very Cobra LTDx looking which is a good thing). Glad they got rid of the ridgeback design which looked like a men's thong on the crown
People only love to hate the things they love. You guys have a great channel, this is why the channels that bring nothing interesting hardly have any complaints.
If your driver doesn't have the moveable weights front and back, would adding lead tape to the front bottom of the driver be an option in moving the MOI?
Tour Edge delivers again. People seem to have pigeon holed them in the OLDER PLAYERS club slot, perhaps even in XXIO territory. Nothing could be more offensive to Tour Edge in my humble opinion. They have been making awesome products for a very long time. It seems a shame they found it necessary to jump on board the 10K band wagon, but I am no marketing expert either. Great review.
I have been in contact with stockists and although none could give a definitive answer the general answer was "spring time". I considered importing from USA but at at total price of approximately £480 I will wait for UK release and fitting. American Golf seem to be the only licensed supplier, unfortunately 😢
Tour Edge Exotics are awesome clubs. C721 irons in my bag, and they beat my Callaway Mavrik's in every single metric. And the durability... I have been using them for 2 years and if I wipe them down they literally look brand new. Marvik's I used 5 times (plenty of time to compare with the C721's) and they are beat to hell and back.
Ian this does pertain to this video, But I was wondering I seen a test done by spraying just the hitting mat with water. And hitting a dry ball with dry club the spin numbers were much like they would be outside. I’m sure I can design a hitting mat that gives outdoor like spin numbers.
Tour Edge Exotics used to be considered "crazy expensive" back in the day when they are a new company, but now are considered "budget" clubs, which I find to be pretty funny and a tribute to how uneducated the consumer is. Driver's should be getting cheaper over time but we the consumer just keep paying extortionate prices so the OEMs are happy to just keep ramping up the prices. I guess such is the game but here I am watching the video of a club from a company that I know produces just as good of gear as any knowing that it will perform just fine.
I have played TE for over 25 years now. I don't even test them anymore. I just pick one up and know it is gold. Anything on their Exotics line is trustworthy. For my wife I pick up there 500 line. I play their C721 Driver, E723 fairways, and C722 irons. Their wingman wedges are spinning machines. You can't go wrong with Tour Edge. I still have my original comp 950 irons from almost 27 years ago! I still play their $30 super soft putter from 27 years ago and will play it till I die. I lend their old clubs to local high school kids learning the game. Everything is also lifetime warranty. They put a new shaft on an 25 year old lift of 5* fairway just last summer. Amazing company.
I am glad to see these type of brands succeed in building good products. But the ping 10k max doesn’t need the adjustable weight for me. What I need is a driver that stays straight where I aim the club face at impact, it does. And I am not sacrificing any distance. I certainly greatly respect Ian’s professional opinion, but the ping 10k is a driver regular people golfers should try.
How do these 725 drivers compare to the 723 drivers? What are your thoughts on the “no upcharge” shaft offerings? The 723 had some fantastic no upcharge shafts (Ventus Red, Blue, Black).
I doubt I'll ever buy another current gen driver. I bought a brand new TM Sim2 at the beginning of the year and I'm thrilled with it. IMO, 2 gens old is the sweet spot for drivers & fairway metals.
It’s only the sweet spot for your price point. Metal woods are getting incrementally better every year, I’ve not seen any data that shows metal woods that are 2-3 years old are better.
@@ianfrasergolf Incrementally better for more than incrementally increased prices. And no one except the best of the best golfers get those gains on a consistent basis. Measurable for the best is rarely meaningful for the rest. I think sometimes guys like you forget how much better you are than almost everyone you serve.
@@davep2945 not much of what just said is actually true. In August 2000 Callaway launched the ERC 2 driver, it cost $625 USD 24 years ago. That in today’s money with inflation around 2.5% takes the price of that driver over $1100. Also we see lower gains with low hcp golfers. Mid to high handicap golfers see the biggest gains and it’s not even close, highly skilled golfers find it easier to make the club do want they want it to do.
@@ianfrasergolf I replied to you comment with a link to a recent Rick Shield's video where he compared Sim2 to Qi10 and the SIM 2 had better stats on the launch monitor (it must have been taken down/suppressed). There are other creators who have done similar comps and gotten similar results. It is impossible to justify buying current gen gear, when NEW (not used) gear a couple gens old is just as good for half the price.
He helped with the development of some of their irons. Will have to do a WITB to see what he actually has in use still. Their hybrids have Adams DNA from their design.
@@tkin-lopes this is a driver review. The Hard dog doesn’t play a tour edge driver or woods for that matter. . Maybe the irons and some wedges hence my comment about putting tour edge covers on other brand clubs.
@@clubchampionmedia I thought it would be a back to back week of drivers comparison. Excited to wait rather than putting pressure on you guys that’s all. Because it’s a great content to close out the year for the channel
I am confused about the goal of driver videos here. If the collection of data on the carry, total distance, spin, dispersion, etc. is what is being tracked for comparison purposes why does the hole have an elevated tee box and water running across the fairway in the landing area? A nutted drive carries the water. A less than perfect strike lands right in the water and a lesser strike comes up short, bounces over the water and gives full carry and roll out yardage. Just seems like a poorly selected hole to do the driver testing.
I don’t understand why Cleveland XL2 drivers aren’t getting more attention? They’re annihilating the big names in length & forgiveness. Golf Australia magazine’s longest.
I have been looking into their irons. The E723 looks and performs great, but the look of the new E725 iron is horrible in my opinion and because of that, i will not give it a try.
I tried the G430 Max 10K for a bit and found my dispersion exploded -- could not keep it on planet Earth. I ended up keeping my G430 LST. Look forward to try these...
I would suggest either during intro or looking at results, you discuss not just the loft sleeve design but the standard setting specs. While you admirably disclosed this is a single axis sleeve with 8 adjustments, stating how it’s similar to the TM, what was not discussed is the Tour Edge commonly are much more upright lie than the big 4 brands. I did not look up if that has continued with their latest models but I recall demoing one in 2018 or 19 and I was really surprised how upright the club was at address. I recall it was 59.5-60* lie where most of the big brands were 58 or less. Maybe instead of describing the sleeve range as 1* upright to -2 flat, describe the actual range of say 58-61* lie.
I don’t believe you need a 10k driver with a movable weight. What ping says is true, in that as soon as you move the weight it’s no longer 10k. If you are buying a driver because you want max 10k forgiveness then why would you move the weight to make it less then 10k? At that point it’s just a marketing thing. I love that ping is so truthful to say if you want to adjust a weight buy the one that adjusts to he weight extremely if you want max 10k buy that one. I’m not going to sell you the 10k then have you move the weight because it defeats the purpose and might be a misconception among buyers that I can move the weight and have it be 10k.
Yet for 2025, Ping’s 10K driver will be the G440 Max with a 3 position CG Shifter. Somewhat ironically, people that want (or need) the 10K forgiveness also benefit from being able to move weight to assist with correcting ball flight. The lack of moveable weight is why the G430 Max 10K and Qi10 Max were considered one trick ponies by Ian and Mike. When your fitting adjustments are fewer, your ability to create a more desirable ball flight are fewer.
Tour Edge should pick up a lot of business making a driver less than 500.00. I'm pretty sure you will see the one of the big five buying them out & shutting them down. That's usually what happens.
I find its amazing to see how M.O.I. has become focus of the big brands as of late. M.O.I. has been Tour Edges' "edge" for as long as I can remember. Their design philosophy revolves around it. One of the best valued brands out there with very hot hybrids and woods.

Fantastic review, do you guys stock Tour edge ?
Ian this does pertain to this video, But I was wondering I seen a test done by spraying just the hitting mat with water. And hitting a dry ball with dry club the spin numbers were much like they would be outside. I’m sure I can design a hitting mat that gives outdoor like spin numbers.
Question about C725.
What would happen if I switched the 15g weight to the rear and 5g up front?
Where it is possible to know the weight of the head alones?
Tour Edge Exotics used to be considered "crazy expensive" back in the day when they are a new company, but now are considered "budget" clubs, which I find to be pretty funny and a tribute to how uneducated the consumer is. Driver's should be getting cheaper over time but we the consumer just keep paying extortionate prices so the OEMs are happy to just keep ramping up the prices. I guess such is the game but here I am watching the video of a club from a company that I know produces just as good of gear as any knowing that it will perform just fine.
so true. marketing proves the old adage, "a sucker is born every minute".
How do these compare to the 10K driver shootout you guys did a while back?
I went to local club champion in Atlanta to try this club, they said sorry we don’t have this at all. Let’s go with major brands……
Nice 👍🏻
Is this the shop in Hillington?
Looks Great
Cya buddy.
CC 🎉
Be interesting to see the c725 fairway wood. I reckon it could be as good or better than my M5 fairway.
I absolutely love my TE 723 3* fairway. Smoke it. I can play it on a tight far 5 and hit the green in two.
Question. What year would C725 have to be released for it to have been best in class?
I am glad to see these type of brands succeed in building good products. But the ping 10k max doesn’t need the adjustable weight for me. What I need is a driver that stays straight where I aim the club face at impact, it does. And I am not sacrificing any distance. I certainly greatly respect Ian’s professional opinion, but the ping 10k is a driver regular people golfers should try.
I’m looking forward to the E&C 725 fairway woods to be tested.
I absolutely love my TE 723 fiarways. I bet the 725s are even better.
Bernhard Langer plays with Tour Edge clubs…must be premium equipment
More Tour Edge headcovers than anything.
He helped with the development of some of their irons. Will have to do a WITB to see what he actually has in use still. Their hybrids have Adams DNA from their design.
@@erock1070 He literally has his own custom line he plays.
@@tkin-lopes this is a driver review. The Hard dog doesn’t play a tour edge driver or woods for that matter. . Maybe the irons and some wedges hence my comment about putting tour edge covers on other brand clubs.
I'm looking forward to a stiff shaft 7 wood out of this line and model.
Would you ever game the c series?
I play the TE C all the time. I play their E for my fairways. Distance and forgiveness is insane.
so what is the moi on the c725 ? i think i heard ian say like 9k .. if thats so then that is really good for a smaller more adjustable driver
They are one of the best deals in golf.
It’s a TSimR 3-4. Consider me interested.
Will you be testing the fairway woods too?
I will tell you they are fire. They are also lifetime warranty so if anything they may never leave your bag!
wouldn't moving the weight to the fade or draw side make the driver under 10k moi?
Does it matter if it gives you the shot shape you need?
I just ask because I know pings HL version of the 10k had to be pulled from the 10k marketing because with the lighter Hl weight it was no longer 10k.
It does, but it nicely puts it more consistently in the 9k sweet spot in my opinion.
Until this day still waiting for the second part of best drivers for average golfers video outside of the top 5 brands you did
Still waiting?? That was less than two weeks ago.
@@clubchampionmedia I thought it would be a back to back week of drivers comparison. Excited to wait rather than putting pressure on you guys that’s all. Because it’s a great content to close out the year for the channel
Does that fat hosel bother anyone? Seems a bit fatter and squared off instead of tapering into the shaft
Something less than 10k but more speed with forgiveness... So the ping 425 than 😊
Lol. Sooooooo weird him just talking to himself in execution. Haha.
Jp wedges outdoor review please
I am confused about the goal of driver videos here. If the collection of data on the carry, total distance, spin, dispersion, etc. is what is being tracked for comparison purposes why does the hole have an elevated tee box and water running across the fairway in the landing area? A nutted drive carries the water. A less than perfect strike lands right in the water and a lesser strike comes up short, bounces over the water and gives full carry and roll out yardage. Just seems like a poorly selected hole to do the driver testing.
I was kind of thinking the same thing haha.
Cos you're too awesome 😎 for 10k
Frog in the heating water with these club prices. Still too expensive
I buy their stuff a year or two old. Get drivers for under $200. Upgrade every two years. Will get this one next spring.
$500usd in Australia
Are they available yet ?
I totally disagree with you!!
It puts it in a 9k sweet spot in my opinion.
Tour Edge should pick up a lot of business making a driver less than 500.00. I'm pretty sure you will see the one of the big five
buying them out & shutting them down. That's usually what happens.
Their E723 irons just last year were named the most forgiving and playable game improvement irons. Beat everyone.
