- I recently stayed at the Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort Hotel in Waikiki. I had a wonderful ocean-view room with Lē'ahi (Diamond Head) front and center.

I had breakfast at the Veranda restaurant and ahi poke nachos at the Beach Bar. The location and views from this hotel are amazing.

I thoroughly enjoy travel and hotels, I aim to provide relevant and current information so you can stay in more suites and cross more lobbies. I use affiliate links when linking in my description, if you click on them I may receive a commission. This gets me to the next hotel a bit quicker, thank you!
Do you prefer the Historic Wing or Tower Wing for those that have stayed here? The views from the tower wing just cant be beat but I did enjoy the feel of the room in the historic wing better.
We just recently stayed in one of the historic Banyan room on the 3rd floor directly over the portico. In fact, when you're looking at the entrance portico, we were in the room with the blinds closed.
Nice room, needed a ceiling fan! Shower would flood half the bathroom each time, we had to make a towel barricade on the floor.
The water is a dangerzone of rocks and coral.
@@FatGuyInaTruck Yikes! I hope you got some points or some sort of compensation for your troubles. I do prefer the historic room though, those that don't flood :)
What tower was this Oceanview room in? Nice video, thank you looking to visit there in the spring.
this was in the tower wing vs the historic wing. Far side of Diamond Head. @@markedawebster4378
We have been going to this hotel for over 25 years at least once a year mostly 3 or 4 times. The staff is like family and treat everyone with Aloha.
@espee#99 I have come across so many people who return time and time again to the Moana, definitely a special place for many. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the tour will definitely check it out during our trip next month!
This was an absolutely stunning review great footage. I stayed there in 1991 and was blown away by its historic atmosphere and look, just one of the most beautiful hotels in the world. I am staying at the hotel with my family for my 60th Birthday in early November, I cannot wait to get there and your review has made me even more excited. Thank you for sharing this sensational hotel with me.
You're welcome and I hope your birthday is fantastic!
Love It as always.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful review we will be there in a little over a weeks time and cannot wait. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video of a stunning hotel.
Your welcome! Enjoy your stay 👍
Truly one of the best videos I've ever watched!
Thank you!
I've always stayed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki but
after watching this video i'm very tempted to stay at the Moana Surfrider
my next trip to Waikiki.
Mike
Thank you! @mikehodges I just stayed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki, and should have that video up by end of the month. I think you will really like the Moana Surfrider if you stay there. Keep me posted.
Beautiful video
I so envy people who can afford to stay here, this is the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen. In the past, when I stayed in Waikiki, I would always walk thru the lobby area, sit outside for a while near the Banyon tree, soak up the beauty of this hotel. Another one I always walk thru is the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, a calm oasis in the chaos that is Waikiki.
So true about being a calm oasis in Waikiki, I love walking through the gardens of Royal Hawaiian and sitting in the rocking chairs of the Moana, even if just passing by.
@@suitesandlobbies I love going to Waikiki, but it is a trip for sure lol
11:16 Ahi poke nachos 😊 soooo good
And I swear there was a wedding photoshoot wvery 15 minutes on those stairs or out newr the tree, or in front of the portico. And almost all of them were of Asian descent, absolutely stunning brides.
Japan is opening back up , Hawaiian just added another direct flight, I have a feeling the Asian market is going to come back in full force very soon.
Hello! Thank you for sharing this video! This is honestly the best view I’ve seen of Diamondhead and the beach! I would love to stay there but it is quite expensive :( do you know a cheaper hotel that could provide a really similar view as the one shown from your room in the video? Thank you!
Check out the Queen Kapiolani Hotel, you will need to insure your room faces Diamond Head, Also the Marriott Waikiki Beach Resort has some options in the front tower that might work.
I’m staying there in a few months and on the web it says no wifi!? Is this true!?
That does not sound right at all. This is one of the top Marriott properties on O'ahu, I would speak with them directly on this if from a credible source.
I actually prefer the ocean front diamond wing rooms.
I too was in a tower room about two weeks ago. I'd wake up at 6:00, ( too excited to sleep I guess, lol). I'd stand on the balcony and enjoy the gorgeous breeze and watch the surfers who amazingly were already out in the water. This video captures the feel and ambience of the Surfrider perfectly, good job!
@@kevineich3838 Is the hotel noisy at night with the entertainment at the pool area?
Real trench shit
Was your room partia ocean view or ocean view?
This was an ocean view room, I believe there is a category above this, something like direct ocean view or ocean front.
Which room was that? A corner view
This was a high floor with Diamond Head view, www.suitesandlobbies.com/moana-surfrider-waikiki-beach/
Perhaps I'm a stickler for details, but if I'm spending $100's per night at a prime location, at least offer me 100% Kona coffee. I will pay for it. At 10% minimum requirement to be called "Kona Blend," it doesn't seem worth it.
Yes, 100%. Paying extra for 10% is just a pass. If you can try some coffee from the Ka'u district on the Big Island, award winning and starting to make a name for itself.
