Great video! I know you are absolutely correct because I always make it a point to stay at the Royal Hawaiian for a part of vacation. However, both hotels are expensive as you said but to spend a moment at The Royal Hawaiian is priceless! This will be my third three night stay at a cost of 1600.
Nice! Enjoy some pink pancakes and a Mai Tai for me. I have been to Turtle Bay yet but it is on my list for a full review, I hear so many good things about the property. Enjoy!
Well done video 😉. I stay at the Hale Koa when visiting Oahu, but really enjoy spending time at these two amazing resorts. The staff at both locations go above and beyond to make those of us who are not guest feel more than welcome 😉🙏💜.
Dude, amazing videos, Finally seeing u more on ur videos and hearing ur voice. They r soooo much better than when u make those "Luxury travel expert" kinda videos. No need to copy his style AT ALL. Ur videos r great, u have good voice, glad u r making use of it now
When I was three in 1978 we stayed at the RHH. My sister had the flu. My dad went to see if my mom had left a message at the front desk having taken her to a doctor. He left me on the beach (?!?!). It was a different time. After about one minute I decided to look for him. I got confused and entered the Sharaton instead. I remembered the room number and floor but something was not right. It was the hotel. It was not right. I found my way back out and to the correct hotel. I went to the correct floor and room and waited for my family who had been frantically searching everywhere for me. They cant believe I knew how to get to the room. But I mean…did I? Twice I guess. We still tell this story today. Well, after visiting both establishments I can confidently say the Pink Palace is my favorite. I can still smell it and taste the guava juice at breakfast. We returned a number of times after and it has a special place in my heart.
Wow, what a great story! It does have a unique smell compared to other hotels, in a good way. Fresh guava juice is how we should start everyday, thanks for sharing you story.
What are your thoughts on these two iconic hotels? This question comes up a lot so I would love to hear what you think about choosing between these two. I forgot to mention in the video that if you are staying at the Royal Hawaiian you only have access to the Sheraton Waikiki family pool, not the adult only infinity pool.
If youre comparing the property grounds, Royal wins. If you're comparing modern amenities, Sheraton wins. Stay at both because they're great locations.
The grounds at the Royal Hawaiian really are special when you consider you are literally in the middle of Waikiki. An oasis amidst the hustle and bustle.
Let's be clear, Hawaii is ALL about the beach. Hotel pools anywhere are gross; women's hair, men swimming in shorts they've worn around, etc. Royal Hawaiian wins this round. 🩷
You just saved me hours of research. Thank you for the thorough yet succinct synopsis!

@suitesandlobbies just booked 4 days at R.H before heading to north shore turtle bay for 7 days. Thank you for the super helpful videos 🙌

I like Sheraton personally. Thanks for all the videos! What a great channel 😊

Thank you! Love the Marriott Ko'Olina video you made.

Thanks! Appreciate the comment, getting in front of the camera has been an experience, lol.
This was a fantastic comparison! Mahalo❤
Thanks Brenda!
The Helumoa Playground is a shared pool area for guests of The Royal Hawaiian and Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort. Both are Marriott properties
We stayed at the Hilton and we love it.
Cheers
Great video !

I guess you’ve never seen the family pool at Aulani. Also on Oahu
I have and it was amazing when I stayed there a few years ago.
I stay at both hotels, they both have their likes and dislikes but both are great hotels you can't go wrong with either hotels.
How far of a walk from the rh to the sheraton to use the pool? Tia
How Far Is The Royal Hawaiian from the Sheraton Waikiki? #royalhawaiian #sheratonwaikiki

Theres another Adult only infinity pool at Hale Koa
Ah! Thanks for mentioning that. I hope to review the Hale Koa soon. Such a great location.
Theres a special place in hell for those who hog chairs all day while they go somewhere else. Just despicable to others

For beach frontage....yep, Royal Hawaiian all day.
