They turned grey bc they were on too long, but honestly t18 is a beautiful platinum blonde I love it.

They look gray because they are overtoned unless the person wants that color. That's why you keep check so you can get the time you want. Wheh this does happen some clarifying shampoo and several washes can get rid of the grayish colors.

They did get very silver! My guess is that they were super absorbent because I applied the toner to dry hair and then let it process for the full 30 minutes. Thanks for watching and the feedback!

So, It looks like it doesn't color the darker hair, which would be great for balayage, right?

    • @TheReelRae

It does very little to the darker hair! I might try a demi-perm (deposit only) for toning hair if you're worried about it messing with the pieces that have not been highlighted. You could also see how this does with a 10 vol vs the 20vol.

Can you tell me what developer you used? 20 , 10 volume?

    • @TheReelRae

I used 20vol per the manufacturer’s instructions- I’m going to try with 10vol to see how it does tho- so keep an eye out for that video!

Weird t18 has never looked grey on light blonde as you show. Now t14 has and does

Maybe bc I applied it to dry swatches and let it sit the full 30 minutes? 🕵️‍♀️ I will have to try it out in other ways. Thanks for watching and the feedback.
