Agreed. His stats are not accurate either, the refs kept him from becoming a God like WR...and the media supported their downplaying of his greatness. Best Big man Wide Receiver in the NFL era, hands down.

Megatron is class. Not many peopple knew what ne endured in his career until they seen his HOF acceptance speech. I'm glad he's been able to patch things up with the Lions since Sheila Hamp Ford took over.
Personally, I think Sheila is a big reason for this team right now. Take a huge chance with Dan, and Brad, yet let them do there thing. Hoping they can keep Ben Johnson around another year. A lot of teams looking for new head coach's. He could be a good one.. Grit and work, that some's up Michigan. Wonder why they are so loved. Haha

Hey Megatron. A Lions Fan here. I was at that MNF game against the Bears and Mitch their QB. I remember that the place was ROARING! The Bears got a first down and it went quiet…crickets…. I happened to be seated at an end of an aisle. I started to yell at everybody! SCREAMING MY LUNGS OUT! My section and the section nearest me rallied around my screams and then it caught on like a wave and the Bears, who couldn’t hear because of it had a delay of game! The whole stadium kept it going like that all night. Not saying I was the cause of the stadium being off the hook. My point is it can be electric how the crowd feeds onto itself and brings its game up. After that game the front office and players (like you are now) gave props to the fans adding that we helped you win that game and the organization painted a mural in ode to the 12th man. I was there with friends and we all couldn’t speak for about 2 days after that game and proud that we all brought it! I’m going back to FORD FIDLD this Sunday with friends and WE ARE BRINGING IT!

I don't think anyone in Detroit hates Matthew Stafford, actually a lot of us hold him in high regard. Even here in Detroit the problem was his wife speaking on things she didn't actually grasp 100%. This is what took place with the #9 Stafford jersey ban, that involved about 4000 people on social media not exactly a sample size of Lion fans, but when she lashed back it became a problem because it was misconstrued. I am so glad that he's reunited with the lions and they've cleaned the slate to some degree
Man, I gotta say, Megatron still has some juice left in him, and it's sad he's not a part of this playoff run. It would have been awesome to see the lions sign him before the season. But, just the same, I'd love to see the lions bring Calvin back next year and give him a shot at a long playoff run and super bowl. He's 38 or 39, so I think he definitely could still play and play at a high level.

Mahomes wasn’t the first one to no look pass, but don’t use Detroit as the reason Stafford didn’t get love. Mahomes plays in Missouri. I think Detroit is more popular. Mahomes gets the love cuz he’s mahomes. One of the best to do it. He does no looks, wins superbowl, wins MVP’s. No slight to Matt, but it’s not the same.

It was classic hearing CJ ask "for some" from Stafford. He inherently knew it was INTs. You don't compete for the INT/Pick Six crown every year without some fanfare.
CJ was witness to some of THE worst QB play in the league.
Thankfully for Stafford, throwing it up blindly into triple coverage 204 times that season resulted in a couple thousand yards towards the Pad Statford we all know.

What people don’t know about Stafford C Johnson and D Sue is how they kept the Lions from winning. It was their greed and those 3 players rt there were 40% of the whole rosters pay. I never forgave them 3 for this
