Screw Goodell. The NFL doesn't care about their fans. They could make more $$ with 30 million customers paying $100 a year, than 5 million paying $350, and only watching one team.
purdy and sf is going to be fascinating to watch after the coming year. whether it gets done in a few days, or if it goes in to camp and beyond, or way beyond. uncharted territory in today's nfl economy
I am the son of rabid Brooklyn Dodger fans, so while in the womb I was taught to hate the Yankees and Giants. There were 2 exceptions. I could root for Joe DiMaggio (who was retired) and Willie Mays. So, as a Mets fan since the beginning, I was very happy he wound up his career with the Mets. After he retired, there was a day when I regretted not joining my friend at the deli for lunch. He was standing in line when someone he recognized got in line behind him. "Hey, I know you," said my friend, who was one of the coolest people I ever knew, and Mays smiled back with a "Do you?" Willie Mays was always a class guy. Heaven's got another MVP human being.
Rich: What's the reaction around the league to Trevors contract? Florio: Well it doesnt really effect Dak like people say Rich: Okay but what about Trevor Lawrence? Florio: I think it impacts Tua and Jordan Love more than Dak Wierd question to dodge
Eisen and Florio, A POWER HOUSE!!! WHAT A COINCIDENCE that now we need to talk about a QB salary cap BECAUSE Jerry "The Joke" Jones can't manage his own QBs. John Cusack with the boom box, LOL! Awesome!
Purdy wont do it, he’ll take the contract even if it’s not the highest in the league because he knows as long as he’s with shanahan his career will be elevated… Tua knows he is not as trusted as purdy, and has less security, so will try and get the biggest deal no matter what
Stroud will be $65 million plus, barring injury. Purdy may get $60 million this year. If Watson suddenly delivers (which is questionable), he will be extended at over $60 million.
You have to think that at some point the league & the union will need to "cap" the percentage of the salary cap that a single player can be paid. It's just not good for the sport having one guy pulling down 20%+ of the funds available while the rest of the team splits up what's left.
The problem with how teams pay quarterbacks is that there isn't just one reason to pay the quarterback. Everyone assumes that you pay your quarterback for winning, but the fact that the quarterback is the biggest draw to bring fans into the stadium, spend more money on merch, and in general makes a lot of money for the team, means that some owners are willing to overpay for a mediocre quarterback to help their bottom line and hurt their team.
As a Raider fan I would LOVE to have Dak the next 2-3 years… Even though Minshew has better career stats than Trevor Lawrence (which is wild! But true)
I kind of agree with florio in the qb contracts but if you are miami wouldnt you rather wait and see then pay a premium if he does deliver? I probably would have done the same with lawrence. Youre better off going to qb wasteland for a bit and finding your cj stroud then being mid every year i think.
Josh Allen is all "show" no "go"...empty calories...got all the stats but the "W"... Personally, I feel he is a great player but just can't get it done for whatever reason. And he isn't 2nd in my opinion cuz I can think of a few guys I would want before him...
Trevor's contract looks like Fake News to me. His guaranteed money is only $1,500,000 in 2024, $2,000,000, in 2025, and $2,000,000 in 2026 '24, '25, and '26 are rookie contract money
Paying dak 60 million a year makes a hell of a lot more sense tha jordan love. Dak isnt worth 60, but jordan love has played one full season and only looked good for half of it
Give Daniel Jones the kind of offensive talent Lawrence has, and he'd be better than Lawrence. Jones's passing stats are right up there with Lawrence's, except Jones is a much better rusher. Lawrence is a mid-tier QB at best and should have gotten a contract comparable to Jones's.
Congrats on making it 26% of the way through Naruto Shippuden. It is also the 350th episode of the 1013 that are out between Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, and Baruto.. so 34.55083909% of the way through the episodes that currently exist.
Lol the idea that TUA's skill set is still in question is so stupid 😅 sounds more like a billionaires talking point to me. Tua has been an absolute stud for the Dolphins. Tua deserved Trevor Lawrence's contract so much more than Trevor does 😅
Read Trevor's contract. Several sites have it all broken down. He's getting rookie contract money for the next 3 seasons. Not great in the seasons after that.
What about his arm? He punts the ball up there whenever he throws a deep ball. Can’t throw in bad weather, injury prone. Lawrence at least shows elite play & arm. Tua doesn’t
Florio is always a good watch. He has a unique view and often makes a unique point
Except when he talks about the Chiefs. Then he’s always dead wrong. He also loves talking about cussing, which is bizarre.
Nah. He’s a preachy AH. I unrecommended his channel.
His attorney background usually brings a fresh, if not different perspective.
Eisen - Florio is always a great watch
What’s the point of a jury trial if a judge can overturn their verdict?
The legal system is not designed to serve justice, it is designed to allow wealthy people/corporations to get away with as much as they can
So the rich can never actually face consequences of any kind 🤷
I'll never understand it myself.
Judges have to make their millions too!
That's the case in every jury trial, welcome to American Justice system
I love Florio! The dude is dialed in.
Screw Goodell. The NFL doesn't care about their fans. They could make more $$ with 30 million customers paying $100 a year, than 5 million paying $350, and only watching one team.
It's amazing how greedy he is.
$60M is too much money for one position. How will a team be competitive if they allocate 20-25% of their cap to one person
Great point.

Wierd question to dodge
He answers this entire line of thinking. Wtf
He said Daks leverage is his cap hit if he hits free agency. Cowboys would still owe him $50M plus to play elsewhere. Listening comprehension.
Eisen and Florio, A POWER HOUSE!!!

John Cusack with the boom box, LOL! Awesome!
Wow, I had no idea, I live a couple blocks from the Mucky Duck. I'll have to stop by one day.
The 49ers will be the team to test the market with purdy
I think they're still suffering from the Trey Lance effect. 'What we've got is working...and we could pick Trey Lance again...PAY PURDY!'😉
Purdy wont do it, he’ll take the contract even if it’s not the highest in the league because he knows as long as he’s with shanahan his career will be elevated… Tua knows he is not as trusted as purdy, and has less security, so will try and get the biggest deal no matter what

If Jordan love is the first 60 million a year qb I’ll be so happy for him but so nervous as a packers fan that it’s too much of a cap hit
And maybe too soon. He's got to start well this year to prove he's worth the bag.
Have your GM call my GM for advice... fly Eagles Fly
No he should be in the low 40s
They love to put Allen in Mahomes stratosphere.
Yeah

And, now that you mention it, a VAST majority of the players will support that. Good point.

No horse in this race, but, of Lawrence and Tua, I thought that it would be TL who had to prove it. I personally think Tua's better than TL.
As a Raider fan I would LOVE to have Dak the next 2-3 years… Even though Minshew has better career stats than Trevor Lawrence (which is wild! But true)
same as a seahawks fan
Will he ever see a team say to no a first round QB contract extension? Justin Fields would like a word.
NFL has obviously not heard of Streameast
If Tua gets 60, Mahomes should get 75!!
I kind of agree with florio in the qb contracts but if you are miami wouldnt you rather wait and see then pay a premium if he does deliver? I probably would have done the same with lawrence. He was soooo great that literally nobody interviewed him in the last 20 years
Josh Allen is all "show" no "go"...empty calories...got all the stats but the "W"...
Personally, I feel he is a great player but just can't get it done for whatever reason. And he isn't 2nd in my opinion cuz I can think of a few guys I would want before him...
Yeah, it's personal talent versus how he elevates his team. Goff's definitely not a better PLAYER but he is a better TEAM player.
@@craigpridemore7566that’s the most asinine thing I’ve ever heard in my life lmao
No way Love gets 60….
Where is Trey Lance lol
No Matthew Stafford should get you fired
This Mike dude is somehow does not like Tựa at all?
What is grammar?
Bills fans - welcome to Florio pushing every week for your QB to force the team into a new contract, as he pretends there is no salary cap… 🙄
Lol
Go back to school, pal.
My head hurt reading this one sentence. 🤯

thats base salary u bozo
200 million guaranteed
@@misinfluence Read the actual contract terms fanboy. Start with the OverTheCap site.

Mike Florio. No thanks. Pass.

Trevor Lawrence with those weapons and the great offensive system would be mvp easily
What about his arm? He punts the ball up there whenever he throws a deep ball. Can’t throw in bad weather, injury prone. Lawrence at least shows elite play & arm. Tua doesn’t
LOL
