    It was interesting to watch The Jays' chase of Baseball Princes. Biggio, Bichette and Vlad Jr. One is looking for a job one is pouting his way out of town after a half-assed season even before his injury (Is Bo nursing it?), and Vlad Jr showed what a real superstar is made of by carrying this team in the second half. The Jays had better not screw up that extension.
    There is actually hope. Young players are performing well. The pitching is still there. They robbed Houston at the trade deadline. Ernie Clement is having a breakout season. Duds like Kiermaier and Biggio are gone. Is Springer next? (fat chance with that contract; they would have to eat a lot of his salary and that is probably a budget buster) So don't despair, Jays Nation.

    I do not blame Bo, or any other players who want to leave, or do not want to play in toronto. As all the bull shit they have to put up with the press, and so many other so called know it all's I would not want to play her either. If anyone wants to make this team better is start cleaning house at the top with Atkins and Shapiro, and keep them away from making line up decisions, that's why they hire managers.

    The Jays management blew it with Bichette when they allowed him to dictate what position he would play. He's not a good shortstop and never has been for the Jays. And despite his production at the plate he wasn't a clutch hitter. I think there were expectations of him emerging as a leader but he's anything but. In all, I don't think the Jays will get much for him but they need to cut bait.

    I'm sad Bo wants out and is acting a bit like a spoiled brat, but I understand why he is ready to go. Blue Jays organization laughs at the fans because the fans keep spending money, many millions to an organization that does nothing to help the team really be in contention. We need another baseball team that wants to be a winner, maybe in BC, owners that really want to be in playoff contention every year and do what they need to do.

    With Rojas a free agent and if resigned he will fill a utility role, the Dodgers need to pursue Bichette because I doubt they chase Adames because of the price and a QO. I can see the Braves also being a player for him, so that might push the cost to a top twenty arm but not Henriquez. I think Wrobleski and either a utility guy like Austin Gauthier or take James Outman and hope he can stop missing pitches.

    Gavin Lux, Ben Casparius, Jared Karros for Bo Bichette. Lux having a red hot bounce back second half, Jays get two pitching prospects that are in the 20s range for rankings which is expected given Bo Bichette’s down year plus him being an impending free agent. Dodgers essentially swap Lux for Bichette which is good because Lux can not play SS, he is locked at 2nd base and Mookie needs to be at 2B. Bichette not the best defender at SS but at least he can play there unlike Lux. I think buying low on him, selling Lux while he is hot would be smart for LA. Bo will bounce back next year especially in LA where he isn’t the main guy

      @@edomarpez1840You see the year Bo Bichette is having? You see how many years of team control he has WHICH IS ONE! A good young second baseman who has 2 years of team control after this year, and two pitching prospects(a need for the Jays system) who are ranked 22 and 23 in the dodgers system is fair. Maybe add Kendall George(ranked 13th) a 19 year old outfielder with speed first round pick in 2023. But you are not getting a lot for this guy lol. This isn’t like the White Sox situation where even though Luis Robert Jr is having an inconsistent year he has 4 years of team control.

Take Lux out, use any of Cartaya, Casparius, Gauthier, Martin, Gelof...maybe even Frasso, but I'd say no more than 3 guys depending on who. Lux defense is better than Bo's and it's not that he can`t play SS, he didn't this season because of the wrongfully called yips (which was, in fact, his brain paying more attention to his knee)

      @hepatitiscyalater7269 Месяц назад

      @@edomarpez1840oh I thought you were a Jays fan that was saying the package was to light lol. Lux has been heating up but I don’t believe he can handle SS and keep up that production at the same time. Let’s put it this way. The dodgers trade Lux, Casparius, Karros for Bo. Lux has a good year for the Jays at second base where he belongs. Bo Bichette comes to LA and replicates his 2023 season, gets back on track at SS position. I think both sides would be happy and the dodgers wouldn’t have gave up top prospects for an elite SS. Lux also only has 2 more years of control. So it’s not like the dodgers would be trading someone who has 6 years left. Bo fills the SS role for 2025, gives Alex Freeland some time to develop, then Freeland takes over full time for 2026 once Bo Bichette walks since he is a guy not worth giving a long term deal. And since they gave up so little for him you wouldn’t be desperate to keep him especially if Freeland progresses.

    I don't trust this front office to do any of this right. They are so far down the rabbit hole that most fans don't even know.
    They should have blown it up at the deadline but instead are going to "compete". That will cost at least another 100M a season from my guess. They need 2 OF-DH big bats, a 3B, 2B, top of the rotation pitcher (think Corbin Burns type), a backup catcher, a closer and a couple of bullpen arms. Because if Davis Schneider, Spencer Horowitz and Ernie Clement are starters next year then you already failed. Don't get me wrong I think some of the young guys have value and can help but not starters. Like Ernie should be a bench/Utility guy that you play more when hot and sit when not. Horowitz is a DH that can't field so a platoon guy at best. Schneider is a nontender maybe and the rest are depth.
