I just got one--not only is it great--but because you can never tell the road conditions it is nice to be sitting up higher.Even the lower part of the front bumper skirt is above tall mall parking cement blockers.It can also trounce almost all the sport coupes under 40k and many that are 50k to 60k--like audi q3s that are 50k when fully loaded--or a loaded toyota 86 that they want 43k for.
Where I live, AWD is kind of a necessity in the Winter, so I’ll patiently wait with my fingers crossed that Hyundai will start offering it on their N models!

Me and the wife have agreed when the Ioniq 5 N is released in North America we will trade her 2021 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited.

I guess the weight savings is a factor but I think pulling HDA is more of a cost reduction measure to offset the N bits that are added. I’d rather an aftermarket for N conversion of the regular Elantra and Kona as sleepers. I don’t need to track the car but the suspension, exhaust and tune would be my preference. Skip the colors and badging and just enjoy the spirited driving ability. 🏎💨
For now there isn't any AWD. And even for the future, I think Hyundai wants to keep Kona N light and agile, so i don't think they will add AWD system. But even without it, it handles like a maniac. Thank you an pat.
The North American spec models don't seem to have Radar Cruise based on the footage of the steering wheels I've seen in other videos. I hope it's not true and that North America gets ventilated seats and radar cruise!

Normally when you buy any Honda, you can buy the accessories easily. But with Hyundai, it’s kinda impossible for us here. So can you please tell them to make them available here as well? oh boy! Hyundai did it again with Kona N. I wish it came in4wd. Hyundai needs an AWD N SUV to compete with Audi sq3, Mercedes A 45, etc. I thought Tucson was coming as an N 4wd but it is not.

@@alengreen589 I live in Switzerland and find the Kona N with the equipment and this engine power very affordable. A VW T-Roc R with the same equipment costs at least 15 to 20k more. At VW, there is no price limit upwards. I ordered a Kona N and I'm really looking forward to it.
Yeah, the sales of this, at least in America, will dwarf those of the Veloster and Elantra Ns. America loves SUVs. That said, either the Kona or Veloster fits my bill - the Elantra is just too long like all the cars in its class. I mean, it's longer than a BMW 5 series was in the 80s, and only 4 inches shorter than my 2000 528i..
Just got back from the Hyundai dealer trying to get one of these !! Northern CA dealer wanted $10K over msrp for the N and $5k over msrp for the SEL model !!! YIKE !! I'm willing to pay MSRP and maybe $3K extra but $10K !! for a Hyundia .... Fudge No , I'll go buy a used Porsche 911 or a used Golf R. or bmw 240..

I don't know, I find that both the Kona N and Elantra N are kind of ugly. The Kona N's painted cladding and double front grill + mustache looks off to me. The Elantra N has weird unpainted pieces around the grill that makes the grill look way too big and you lose the cool diamond grill design. I think the Elantra N line's front end and wheels look alot nicer than the Elantra N while I find that I like the look of the regular Kona over the Kona N line and Kona N. I really don't know what Hyundai's design department is doing making the high performance versions of the car look worse than the lower performance versions. With the new price increases for N cars in the US, the value proposition isn't there anymore. I'd probably choose an Elantra N-line over all of these but I wish there was an Elantra N-line hatchback.
Why didn't you swipe left to show the custom N screen where u can adjust the engine, trans, steering, exhaust, dampers TC, E-LSD, etc. You have to do was swipe to the left and then everyone can see that you can have the dampers set to soft and maybe the LSD on normal while leaving everything else on the most aggressive setting. By showcasing that screen, viewers can see the difference between the Veloster n and it's spider web graph style versus how this style is as well as the comparison to the Elantra n. I give a big thumbs down to this review as you did not discuss the features that truly makes this car an N car. You didn't mention how you can set your RPMs for launch control to the exact number you like. And so many more N specific features that you completely left out, but the one that is least important and just a novelty is the one you discussed which is the stupid track menu that has four tracks. Something no one will ever use, yet you completely skipped the screen with all the different customization just like an M car has that's triple the price. SMH terrible review
Are the shortage and inflation on the Hyundai prices in Korea due to chip crisis?? Here in the US 🇺🇸 dealers are basically breaking people's banks (budgets) with current car prices! Imagine the Palisade here is selling $12.000 more of it's normal price 😩😩😒😟
Chip shortage aside, dealerships in the US are going through great lengths to make what’s supposed to be an affordable, desirable car, unaffordable and undesirable. Mark up on the Veloster N shouldn’t have you cross shopping a Golf R. I know they sell almost as soon as they hit the lot. But cmon. At $34,000 the car shouldn’t be setting you back closer to $50,000 because of “rarity”

No way is this a utility vehicle, less room than the hatch, still fwd, low profile tyres and no tow capability. I can tell you now this car will sink in mud or sand faster than a lead balloon so don't even attempt it 🤣 . this is a nothing but sport car for people with bad knees.That's it.

Here in the US 🇺🇸 dealers are basically breaking people's banks (budgets) with current car prices! Imagine the Palisade here is selling $12.000 more of it's normal price 😩😩😒😟

Chip shortage aside, dealerships in the US are going through great lengths to make what’s supposed to be an affordable, desirable car, unaffordable and undesirable. Mark up on the Veloster N shouldn’t have you cross shopping a Golf R. I know they sell almost as soon as they hit the lot. But cmon. At $34,000 the car shouldn’t be setting you back closer to $50,000 because of “rarity”
@@stockey but I think there is a plan from the government here to get back the huge amount of money they "injected" in society since last year. We're appearantly paying high price because of the "stimulus checks" we have been receiving 😩😩😔

The one they are giving right now is child tax credit that we claimed every year the only difference is the they give 6 months prior in a firm a check. When country like Canada and UK when the pandemic hit gave their citizens universal monthly of $ 2000, in here people line up for food.

I'm currently looking to buy 2021 Santa Fé SEL Preferred Hybrid with leather, but it's difficult everywhere here in the US 🇺🇸 I have an appointment today at a dealer. Hopefully they don't hijack the price too much 😩😌😌😒💸💸💵

No way is this a utility vehicle, less room than the hatch, still fwd, low profile tyres and no tow capability. I can tell you now this car will sink in mud or sand faster than a lead balloon so don't even attempt it 🤣 . this is a nothing but sport car for people with bad knees.That's it.
