  • Here is a lick-by-lick tutorial lesson for an up-the-neck version of the folk tune "Comin' Round the Mountain." Here I also play the low version taught in a previous video and demonstrate how to play them one after the other in rhythm. The low version can be found here: • Comin' Round the Mount...
Hear this tune played with guitar rhythm backup (slow, medium, fast) starting at 13:10. Guitar chords are provided on-screen.
Free tab sheets (PDF) and play-along tracks (MP3) for this and many other tunes are available at my website, www.littlerockbanjo.com.
Hope you enjoy. Be patient with yourself and work diligently, focusing extra time on the more difficult passages.

Hey Mr Nesbitt .. William .. Al here .So I've been following you for a long time now and umm first I would like say thank you for the time , energy, and most importantly ,your dedication to music and the instruments you use to compile these tutorial videos and your heart desire to be a good man to offer to myself and surely can speak of others behalf , you desire nothing in return to teach us your way in learning what you have earned and gained in knowledge in your life in the past and we are very grateful , in sincerity and genuinely I am as others are honored .
Thank you Bill . You're great Mr Nesbitt !
Ok now I know you get this often what I am going ask and so you know I have learned to an identical way of play almost 11 of your tutorial songs . So much progress has come to me in a very unexpected way. The unexpected,or unrealized idea in beginning is coming full circle ,in that Songs are so much easier to play ! Hahaha.. It's starting to feel more natural like and so much easier then when I first started and as an example I hated the way the picks felt on my fingers and was the first thing I learned! So there you go , truly a novice complaint !! But that was a good long while back . Umm yeah .... Now I can play with picks without picks and for hours ! No bothers me now ... ...
Sorry this is so long and I suck at typing .. Slow ., I felt it was important to jest sit down, have a glass of ice tea ,and jest bang it . So I started this prolific comment in November 2018 .. I'm almost done . Hahahahuhuhu. . Nah ... Jest kiddin...
So um I've looked on your website and of course all your fantastic vids and there is one song in particular that I'm fond of and its a song from the 1960 's Skruggs and Flatt that I'm having difficulties with and thought maybe I d ask if you mind showing me or doing a tutorial video of the song Bugle call Rag ! Unless perhaps you have it mixed in with other songs , or I simply have over looked it .
So umm thank you Mr Nesbitt , no doubt , hands down the best instructor that I can and have learned from , than any other single one person or tutorial video That's out there ! And there are a wealth of reasons , so many of others tutorials are crap or whatever if I were to list ,I would be typing well into the Autumn of this year ..hahahahuhuh .. .

Your instruction is by far the best I have seen so far on you tube, You are helping tons of people learn to play. Thank you.
There is a guy on you tube by the name of Tony Lambardo who does a nice job on Tom Dooley and I have been after him for months to send me a tab for it , said he would but never did. I f you could watch his video and maybe help me out I would be very grateful.

Great lesson, really enjoyed it! Since you're teaching up-the-neck licks. Any chance you're going to make a "Pony Express" lesson? =)

Thanks for all the free tutorials that you're giving us Mr. Nesbitt. We're all very grateful for that.
I wondered which software you use to make these split screen videos?

I use a British (I think) package called "Magix." In 1995 I bought a draw package called Xara for work and have used it ever since. Magix is from the same company.

    Hi love your videos!
I dont know if you are taking requests but id very much like to learn to play the song "half moon rising" by Yonder Mountain string band. If You made a tab for it you'd be the only one out there with a tab for that song.
Thanks anyway for the Great videos!
