  • Fencing equipment easily gets dirty over time, between sweat, dust, and other grim. For lames in particular, this can mean decreased conductivity. Taking the time to properly clean your lame will reduce incidences of this and keep your lamé looking and working its best.

    I love that even though this was made 2 years ago it feels like a 2010 tutorial

    Thanks so much for your videos, thy are great! When you say repeat 2-3 times is that just the rinse? And if so, fresh water each time?

      Definitely rinse multiple times to get all of the detergent out, and yes use fresh water each time. Sometime I find I have to wash multiple times as well, depending on how dirty the lames get. For example, cleaning my personal one if typically one wash as I do that more frequently, but cleaning the team practice ones would require multiple wash cycles as they were used much more frequently and washed sparingly.

    can i use this washing method on a non-washable lame

    • @askanarmourer9549
      @askanarmourer9549  2 года назад

      Non-washable simply means it can't be put into a machine as that's too rough a process, and honestly no lame, regardless of what it says, shouldn't be washed like that. But yes, this process is suitable for all lames, so long as you are gentle and careful to remove all detergent and dry it fully afterwards. Hope this helps!
